Ready for (P)RIME Time
RIME boasts a bona fide superstar in Larry, their new chef de cuisine. When I inquired about the origin of the A5 Wagyu on the menu, Larry promptly presented the certificate of authenticity and enthusiastically discussed yield grade, marbling grade, and region-specific details. His eagerness to delve into the minutiae and the personal attention he provided thereafter were extraordinarily hospitable and kind. Larry also treated my guests, who joined me for later meals, with very attentive and engaging dining experiences. In addition to Larry, RIME features a very knowledgeable and affable sommelier named Mitchell. He was a delight to converse with about wine, vineyard visits, fermentation, production, and overall industry experiences. Mitchell generously gave of his time and provided great wine advice as well. When I returned to my suite at the hotel the following evening, I found that Mitchell had sent up a bottle of the very champagne we'd discussed the night before (Sir Winston's favorite). Both Larry and Mitchell belong to the top echelon of their respective fields. It was a true pleasure exchanging ideas with both of them. Their presence, along with an intriguing menu, ensures that I will dine at RIME again.
Be the first to ReplyGreat breakfast in St. Regis
We are here every morning when we stayed at the ST. Regis. The homemade sourdough bread was my favorite . Justin is the best waiter there. Pancakes are also great.

We had our anniversary dinner here. Our waiter was awesome, very friendly and attentive. They provided us with a complimentary champagne and even gave us a "free refill" of our dinner wine. I had mussels and a filet, and my wife had the Alaskan halibut - all cooked perfect. They topped it off with a surprise dessert for us. Loved it!
Be the first to ReplySo disappointing
How do I begin? Seated by special request in the wine room because we were a group of 8. Only other table in the room was a family who seemed to think that their voices and their kids voices could carry on at ridiculously loud levels. We had to take matters into our own hands to have them quiet down after a half hour where we could not hear each other speak. Now in to the food โฆ No Value whatsoever. Although my halibut seemed well made the rest of the dishes were significantly sub par. Nothing in the way of vegetables accompanied - which should have been explained by the waitress. Waitress do not come around often enough and when she finally did a request for snap peas - which she said was a sharing portion was requested. The plate arrived which allowed for about 1.5 snap peas per diner. Ridiculous. Other โsharingโ dishes were similarly tiny. Brussels sprouts salad had a couple of Brussels sprouts and a pile of radicchio. Hopefully, you get the idea. Better options elsewhere. We havenโt dined there for a few years and wonโt be back.
Be the first to ReplyOverpriced small portions
Trout was terrible and overcooked. Small portions and no vegetables and potatoes Wine list pricing out of sight
Be the first to ReplyGreat food, awesome vibe at lunch with acoustic singer playing requests for lunch. Get the cheddar rolls!!!
Awesome vibe for lunch. Snow falling outside. Cheddar biscuits, clam chowder & salad for lunch. Tony, an acoustic guitar player taking requests. Super cool vibe. Great for couples, groups, business.
Be the first to ReplyOverrated, not worth the price
The view and ambience was nice. The quality of food was disappointing for the amount paid. The Brussels sprout was partially charcoaled among other things

We dined here for breakfast. Convenient and great menu. Good service. High quality food with many choices.
Be the first to ReplyLousy experience / Great Food
This review is for the Rime outlet in Deer Valley at the top of the gondola. The experience was disappointing, there seems to be only one person doing everything, taking orders, cooking, serving food, etc. Predictably it took over 30 minutes for a couple of Lobster Rolls to arrive. On top of that, the price charged for food is higher than the price on the menu, AND you get charged a 22% tip as default (you can change it manually in the terminal). Food was excellent though.
Be the first to ReplySo bad I had to write a review.
I hate writing a bad review but when it is necessary I will. This place is a disaster. The wait staff was clueless. The servers pour drinks for three out of four guests, twice by two different waiters. One spilled a little water and apologized but walked away without wiping it up. The sommelier apologized for being late but we had already ordered wine so no big deal but then pours wine for only some of the guests not the person who ordered and tasted it. I had to chase down staff repeatedly. The food was so over-priced and bland/poorly cooked - some things over done while others under done, but none of it very tasty. Bottom line is we dropped over $150 pp on a lousy experience. I assume they are having staffing issues but Marriott listen up you have a problem here. This is basically an average Marriott with a fancy St Regis badge in an expensive location.
