Very busy on a Thursday night, had some drinks while waiting. Host, server, and I think the manager all came to check on us while we waited. Sat in the bar section, manager gave us tapas suggestions which were all delicious. Favorites were the fried monkfish, jamón ibérico, and tortilla txistorra. Whole staff was extremely friendly and attentive. Would love to come back but we're back in California now.
Be the first to ReplySabor was a beautiful restaraunt.
Loved the open kitchen, and the fresh seafood display right when you walked in. The service was excellent and the staff was very helpful describing the Galician foods and specialties. We had a reservation for lunch and sat upstairs. We really loved the prawn croquettas to start. The tuna empanada was an excellent special and we really enjoyed the seafood rice, it was creamy but hearty. The sangria was delicious and refreshing, not too sweet either.

This is a very popular place but I don't like my visit here at all. We went for late lunch and were starving. We sat at the tiny tall tables which does not give us access to the amazing-looking seafood, but we were starving so decided to order other food. We ordered small plates like shrimp croquettes and jamon. The food is okay, but not something that's worth the wait. It took them forever to serve the food, and the service was HORRIBLE. Our waiter was just standing and chatting with other people and never checked in. We literally had to tap the host at the entrance to inquire about our food. Because no one answered when they passed by our table.
Be the first to ReplyThis was my second time around for dinner at Sabor.
We revisited the suckling pig this time and it was as good as the first one. The beef tongue sando is also a must try. Very friendly service and we will definitely come back for more next time in London.
Be the first to ReplyThe service was quite good - friendly but not refined, good
The service was quite good - friendly but not refined, good enough for the environment of the place. The pulpo dish is their signature - was not really impressed. It's soaked in oil and doused in paprika, and that's all. It's tender, yes, but completely one note in flavor. The pumpkin and chestnut special was absolutely delicious. Rich but bright at the same time. I think it used to come with truffle but it didn't when I was here. The seafood rice was also very tasty - well balanced, and good variety of seafood in it. The rhubarb empanadita dessert was ok - honestly nothing special, but flaky and tastes of rhubarb. Good but not amazing as a meal. Glad I tried it, but wouldn't go running back

While cruising down Regent Street one night in London, I suddenly began to feel the call of nature (the hunger type). Turning onto a side street, I was pleasantly surprised to be welcomed to this spot just as it opened and without a long line to get in. Seated at the counter, I decided to order the Octopus, which was recommended to be by my server. It was quite tasty but a still a bit chewy, firmer than my all-time favorite spot in Porto. After dinner, both guests seated beside me insisted on ordering the goat cheese ice cream, and I must say, I 100% echo their recommendation! It was delicious, tasty and creamy all at the same time. I would absolutely return to Sabor just for the dessert next time!
Be the first to ReplyI'm from California and found this wonderful Spainish tapas
I'm from California and found this wonderful Spainish tapas style restaurant!! The food was delicious!! The octopus and 40 day aged rib eye was just mouth watering good! It's a family style vibe with very friendly staff! We did not have reservations but they accommodated us despite being completely full! This little place revived a Michelin star and now we know why!!! Congrats :)
Be the first to ReplyOur first time here and it was fantastic.
Great dishes to share and a great atmosphere. Our server was super lovely and so knowledgeable about the menu. We tried everything she suggested and loved everything. We will be back and I totally recommend.

Great place to come for Spanish food - with three standout dishes: suckling pig, Spanish tortilla, and octopus.Suckling pig - very few places do this, and Sabor does it really well. Such tender meat, such crispy skin. Heaven.Tortilla - the most moist and juicy one I've had in London. the egg is still oozing out when you cut it, nice and golden. Perfection.Octopus - tender and cooked well, very fresh too. If you have a big group, you can even go for a whole octopus - I think its around £150 per octopus! The only downside is that its very much modelled as a casual Spanish bar type of place. Good for lunch, not so good for business meals, or more formal dining if that's what you're after. Pricing is on the £££ side even in this informal environment, but the food quality is so so good.
Be the first to ReplyI love me some Spanish food~ & this place definitely did
I love me some Spanish food~ & this place definitely did not disappoint! You can a choice of sitting at The Counter (downstairs) or El Asador (upstairs). Each one has a different menu! I ate upstairs this time, but trust me, I'll be back to eat downstairs! Service was wonderful, wine was lovely, vibe was bumpin' - what a beautiful night!Green SaladSounds super classic right? It's literally some greens, onions, & tomatoes in some olive oil, & yet, it was so simply pleasing - the ingredients were so fresh! Half Segovian Suckling PigThe absolute best - definitely my favorite dish of the night. The meat was so juicy and the skin was so crisp (the perfect combo). To make it even better, it comes with this broth that you can dip it in & that broth is absolutely HEAVEN. For sure a must order!Gamba Roja del MediterraneoThis dish was not bad - the gambas were well seasoned, but I thought they were a bit small, not meaty enough. Crisp ArtichokesI ordered this because I love artichokes :) It was well-seasoned, but they definitely could have been more crispy! Watermelon SorbetOh so refreshing! What a clean, yummy way to end the meal!

Every dish has been excellent. Staff are knowledgeable and passionate. Interesting dishes, all well made. Can sit at the counter and watch the preparation

Excellent experience dining here! Good vibe, inventive menu & attentive service. Watching all your food prep is really great. Portions are enough to share & everything was delicious.
Be the first to ReplyThe best Spanish spot so far in London.
This is a Michelin, and boy this place earns it's Michelin by being cool. We got here at 9:30 pm. got a casual table and started drinking wine. Then the pig ears, roasted pig. octopus, black pudding, fish, charcuterie and amazing steak. Super casual place.I'm a sucker for amazing food. London has transformed itself since I first start coming here in the 90s. With its easy accessibility (English is spoken here like America hahaha), this bumpkin can order everything on the menu and then some. I have officially become of a fan of London (again) after this meal.

Absolute great atmosphere with great wines and delicious Spanish dishes. My wife and I had a great dish of queso fresco and black truffle with some tinto style wine.
Be the first to ReplyI had been dying to go to the Asador since it opened,
I had been dying to go to the Asador since it opened, pre-hype, and when I finally made it was disappointed. Not bad but can't understand how it got it's Michelin star. The ambience is bar seating, not particularly comfortable. Started with two specials, a thin sliced meat and a grilled giant prawn. The meat (like Parma ham) was excellent. The prawn was very sweet but ordered it with a friend and it was one not particularly big shrimp. The suckling pug main was good with a ton of crackling but again not earth shattering. It was also challenging to figure out how to eat/share, the waiter saw us struggling but took way too long to help. Overall not a bad meal if popped in while shopping but not special.
Be the first to ReplyThe tapas are just okay but the portions are tiny.
The price to value ratio is outright terrible. We tried almost everything on the menu and nothing was impressive. Patatas bravas looked french fries from McDonald's. Blood orange salad was three slices of orange with two tiny pieces of ricotta - literally!! Its unbelievable they have a Michelin star - must have bribed them
