Located right across the Port Authority Bus Terminal so was convenient for us before boarding a bus to NJ. The place is very bright, having glass walls, spacious with a lot of seating. Ordered at the counter, waited at a table with a buzzer and someone brought our food. Food looks good. The Schnipper's classic is cooked to your preference, has 2 large slices of bacon. The chicken tenders combo came with 4 pcs of tenders, changed fries to sweet potato ones for $1. Mostly soda for the fountain drinks so we don't get any but water dispenser available. The previous time we went, they had burger specials but didn't see them on recent visit. A staff member is usually available in the dining area, bringing food and keeping the tables clean. Restroom available.
Be the first to ReplyThough a bit touristy, it's a tasty lunch spot.
$10 burger is a real, juicy, medium rare burger. Great! The chicken parm special, however, was just bread on breading with a tiny sliver of chicken. Glad I got both but not going to bother with the chicken again.

Ate here today for lunch with my sister to try this place out for the first time. We had ate and shared each other such as the fries, burgers and drink. I had got the bacon cheese burger combo and my sister only got the crispy chicken burger. All had tasted really good and delicious. The service there was also attentive and friendly. I couldn't agree more! Finally, I would definitely eat and come back again next time! :)

Convenient and casual place for burgers, milkshakes and other elevated fast food. Despite having to order at the counter, the service was polite and quick, and I was surprised that servers brought my food to me when my buzzer rang: pretty fancy "table service" for a fast food joint! The food can be hit or miss: my burger today was underseasoned but otherwise tasty, but I've had burgers that are so delicious and juicy that they would handily beat out Shake Shack, no question. I guess it depends on the location?

I came here yesterday for lunch and it was not the same as the last time I came. I spent about $50.00 and I did not enjoy any of my food. I ordered a burger and I did not know there were no sauces which come with the burger. When I received my burger then I was informed the sauces are extra. At this point it was not feasible to get on the line and order the sauce for the burger. Then we ordered the macaroni and cheese and it was not good, it tasted like school lunch. Then my milk and cookie milkshake was also not very good, it was not thick and unmemorable. My sister ordered the buffalo chicken sandwich and the bread was not the right bread for the sandwich because the chicken piece is in Buffalo sauce then it causes the bread to deteriorate and a denser bread should be used. The service was ok but the employee who took my order was not helpful. I would not recommend this place; I could have gone to Chickafil and saved about $30 and I know everything would have been delicious. I am not sure what happened but it was a completely different experience than last time.

Tried this spot for the first time on Saturday, and I must say, the service was pretty decent, considering how packed the place was and how busy it was. Loved how clean the space is, and how often I saw the trash get taken out. 10/10 will recommend. Especially for a quick bite of comforting carbs!

UPDATE: Went back a week later before a show had a great salad with plenty of fresh ingredients. My friend had a buffalo chicken sandwich which she enjoyed. The experience was also better with the food brought to our table. Update to 4 stars If you are stuck in the middle of Times Square with not much time before an appointment or show nearby you could do worse than Schnipper's.. you can also do better, but there are some things going for it. Located on the corner of 41st and 8th you have a delightful view of the Port Authority Bus Terminal which on most days could be a show in its own right. There is plenty of seating here and turnover seems fairly quick so you can take a breather in your tourist-centric travels. The menu is fast food, but the ingredients seem a step above. Fresh Arugula on my Schnipper's Classic... I don't mind if I do. The burger, cheese, onions and bacon all do their job, but unfortunately didn't taste much of Schnipper sauce which was a bit disappointing. The bun holding it together reminded me of White Castle's bigger brother, but less steamed. I got this as a combo and the Fries were great and it was nice to have free refills on the drink. There are lots of ways to get in trouble here - sloppy joes, hot dogs, chicken sammies and even a tuna melt are some of the food choices.. milkshakes and beer are options if you prefer liquid trouble haha. If you are looking to eat healthier they offer apps like Baby Arugula (a small salad?), charred broccoli, fresh corn esquites (healthy-ish?) and kale/cabbage slaw. They also have a varied number of bowls and salads and I would venture to say the ingredients are probably pretty fresh judging by the burger.. perhaps this is the way to go next time I am here looking for a quick meal that involves a seat in Midtown.

We got here close to closing time (I hate doing that but our tour went over the time) and even though we got a reminder of this the person taking our order was still nice. The food was freshly cooked and pretty good. My hubs had the chicken sandwich and I had the burger and I would recommend. We didn't go all out bc of timing but if I were in the area I would come again especially since this place was down the street from our hotel.

Located right next to our hotel, we were able to take a short walk for an early Saturday dinner before our show. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and pleasant. The grilled chicken and brie sandwich with arugula, tomatoes, and onions was very good. The chicken had a great char but was still moist. The burger was good as well. Try the sweet potato fries! They were super crispy and delicious. Definitely glad we finally got to eat here!

Although the chicken wasn't seasoned, I thought these chicken tenders were huge and very juicy for the price! The customer service was great and the cashier was very accommodating in letting me tasting different teas in order to choose the one I like! Very quiet and chill ambiance for quick dining.

Be the first to ReplySolid and fresh lunch spot in midtown.
fresh salads, fries (both regular and sweet potato) were crispy and not over salted, and amazing grilled chicken sandwiches and chicken fingers. Did not taste the burgers or shakes.

Can't go wrong here! From amazing grilled 4 cheese sandwich, Mac and cheese, impossible burger, sweet potato fries, salads, mahi mahi, milk shakes... I've probably had 20 different items and they were all terrific. Good prices, great taste, friendly service, and quick delivery.
Be the first to ReplyGreat place for good fresh food when in a hurry.
I was rushing to a meeting as I always am when in the City and this place caught my eye as I pass by. Bright, open, airy with tall floor to ceiling windows give it an inviting fun place feel.Had the tuna melt, onion rings and a Cookies and Cream Milk Shake. All were delicious. Loved that I could watch them make all three. Great feeling of freshness.Prices are reasonable and the staff is very friendly and fun. Alone or with your family this place is great. I will definitely be back to try some of the other unique menu items.

Thank you I really do appreciate you guys.
Be the first to ReplySchnipper's is your nice run of the mill fast food place.
I had the chicken tenders and fries and they were pretty good, and fried hard. Nothing exquisite but a slight step above regular fast food. The restaurant itself is attractive and fun.

This establishment has a great location but like many places does not have enough staff to clean tables. You order at one counter, pick up at another which is fine just don't ask your customers to tip when they are cleaning their own tables, getting their own drinks and picking up their own food. We literally grabbed the Lysol and cleaned tables. The dining room was dirty!! Our burgers and fries were both good and filled us up.
Be the first to ReplyI am in New York City and I came across this business.
Being hungry figured to get something to go. All I can say from my experience is totally avoid this location. I ordered my meal to go. After I get handed my bag of food I ask where are the milkshakes and the person said it's up by the cash register area is where I go to get my shakes. I go to that area and say I need my shakes and that my food is getting cold as I wait. I already waited over 20 minutes for my food now I am waiting over 10 minutes to get my shakes. Then when finally at the hotel they don't have my whole order. Total waste of my time and money. Take your hard earned money elsewhere that hopefully has better customer service that is tip worthy. I gave a tip which I should not have. But totally I should have avoided this place of business. Customer service I give them negative 10 stars. When you pay money for something you want the best experience which in turn will make it something to talk about. If someone asks me about this place for my opinion my word will be AVOID!!!
Be the first to ReplyDinner time.
Touring with high school students. We wanted a place that had some salad maybe some comfort food. My daughter and I split a South by Southwest Salad. It had mixed greens, grilled sweet corn, grape tomatoes, green and red bell peppers, cotija cheese, pickled jalapeños, chile dusted tortilla strips, scallions, chipotle ranch dressing. We added on some crispy chicken for protein. This was plenty for two people. The ingredients were fresh and the dressing flavorful. Our dinner companion had the Super Creamy Mac and Cheese. It was piping hot and delicious from her comments. The restaurant has a modern vibe with brand art and neon. Floor to ceiling windows bring in light. There is inside and outside seating. Hope to get back to try their sandwiches.

I got the turkey burger which was satisfying and filling. Great option for a casual dinner in the Times Square area.

This is a nice place with a great menu for a quick lunch or dinner. I had a small window of time before a show and stopped and had a Greek salad. They don't skimp on the toppings! Plenty of feta, peppers, olives, chick peas, etc. the dressing was a bit strong for my taste but it was on the side so I could control it. If you're looking for a no frills meal in the theatre district look no more!

At Schnipper's, Eric and his staff make eating yummy gluten free foods safe and easy. There are flavorful classic comfort foods for carnivores, vegetarians, vegans and omnivores also. With pleasure and ease, on my 1st visit I satisfied my soul's deep yearning for a gluten free buttermilk battered and fried extra crispy fried chicken sandwich with a gf bun because Eric and his kind, knowledgeable, and careful staff understand both the joys of good, hearty food and the seriousness of food allergies and cross contamination. When ordering with the cashier, let them know if you have food allergies. Their gluten free menu has so many drinks and foods that are and/or can be made gf. They can make the sweet potato fries gf and they also have gf buns for burgers and sandwiches. For salads, they can leave off the croutons.Thank you Eric for showing me the large open kitchen with a dedicated gf fryer. I also really like that they have free range, antibiotic free chicken. After ordering, you can sit down and they bring the food to your table. I've enjoyed the following gf dishes: chicken tenders with fries, a fried chicken sandwich with gf bun, turkey burger with gf bun, a strawberry milkshake, and a divine drink that had lime and strawberry which actually had fruit in it.It takes time for the food to be cooked from scratch but it's worth it. The food is fresh and made to order. Thank you Schnippers' brothers for this gluten free gem, for your wonderful people, and for kindly including so many safe, fresh, delicious choices for all. Would you perhaps want to open another location on Broadway by 168th street?
