I came in around 6:20pm on a Sunday and was sat down immediately. It was just dinner for me. One of the waiters offered water as soon as I got to the table. After looking over the menu, I had to look around to catch an employee's eyes to put in my order. I ordered a cranberry frizzante, pane otto, and the pappardelle. The drink--cranberry frizzante: this came out in about 5 minutes after they put in my order. It was a good, fruity cocktail. It's made with Prosecco. The appetizer--pane otto: housemade bread with butter and sea salt. The sea salt really brought out the butter's taste. The bread was soft, but they're really big slices. It would've been better if the bread was in smaller slices so that it's easier to eat. The dish comes out in 3 large pieces. The pasta--pappardelle: this took the longest to arrive. I had noticed that other tables were getting their pastas while they had put in their orders after me. After reaching out to an employee, they had to check with the kitchen. The kitchen had lost my ticket so I probably would have not gotten my pasta if I had not reached out. The pasta itself was a lot more firm than I would have liked. I typically like my noodles al dente with a slight chew to it. The noodles are flat and wide; the entire plate had about 7 pieces of noodles and overfilled with mushrooms. My rating: 2.5/5 Service was not great. No one checked up on me the entire 1.5 hour I was there. I wasn't offered a desserts menu. My pasta took forever to arrive. The ambiance is nice due to the rooftop location and the lights and plants. But it's extremely loud with people talking. Like others mentioned, it's hard to even think. Food is overpriced for mediocre food. This place is really just good for the vibes.

The ambience is great, but the food is overpriced and average. I went in for a late lunch with friends and was able to find seating at the bar easily. Starting off on a positive note, the bartender poured heavy glasses of wine, woohoo! We each ordered salads and added chicken onto them. I was a bit thrown off when I saw the chicken came out on skewers; it felt like an afterthought and made it a bit more difficult to eat. I got the Barbabietole, and it was fine but unmemorable. For $26, I was expecting more. The food was an incredible disappointment, but I think this would be a nice place just for a glass of wine and the ambience.
Be the first to ReplyHad the most beautiful night at Serra by Bierria.
Katherine C was our waitress and was so warm, caring and attentive, she made the entire night so perfect. A beautiful restaurant with great food, can't wait to come back!
Be the first to Replyfood was super tasty.
the loaf of bread was very large for two, would prob feed 4 people comfortably so keep this in mind for bigger groups. this restaurant has a very nice rooftop setting but it can get rather hot, so if it's a warm day maybe dine inside. however, the outside was gorgeous, the flowers add to the scenery and ambiance so give it a go if you're open to it. our waiter was very attentive and polite. we asked a few questions about items on the menu and he was patient and gave genuine answers. there's a market downstairs that you have to walk through but you can occupy yourself by looking around if you're early to your reservation. would definitely recommend dining here!
Be the first to ReplyPretty nice place, great appetizers and service.
Our server Jorge was super attentive and helpful with the suggestions. Will be back soon

I loved the whole vibe of this place! It looks like a sparkly rooftop garden and is so cute! The menu has so many great options and was very veggie friendly. We went during restaurant week, but most of the items were on the regular menu and everything was delicious. We got the Panalle and Mozzerella to start, and the Ravioli for the main course. Everything was fresh and flavorful. To drink I got the Fig Mule which was a really fun and unique drink that I really enjoyed. I would highly recommend making a reservation if you plan to check this place out but it is definitely work a visit. Plus it is in Eataly which makes for such a fun experience, I would recommend going early to walk around and check everything out!
Be the first to ReplyStopped here for dinner before a show down the street.
While the restaurant was beautiful it was also very noisy. We had reservations and were seated right away. The appetizer menu was better than the entree menu. Very pasta heavy and nothing the "wowed" me. We started off with the Burrata appetizer which was very good. For entrees we went with the Bolognese and the Pappardelle dish. Both were very good but not special. We also ordered a side of Brussel sprouts which we were very disappointed in - they were just steamed and lacked seasoning. Overall our dinner was just okay and we will probably not be back.

Cute interior and good service, but food wasn't worth the price. Flavor was pretty average, and apps were small. Definitely more a place you go to just for the aesthetic!
Be the first to ReplyFood was horrible.
Steak wasn't even warm when it came out. Potatoes had no flavor. Pastas were a sad excuse for Italian. The only thing they couldn't mess up was the Meat and cheese as they don't make that here.
Be the first to ReplyLooks very pretty.
Friendly service. The market below it is awesome. You can tell the food is premade, tastes like it's made in large quantities at the ready. Specialty cocktails are premade and quickly poured (mine came out in 30sec and not from the bar).

- beautiful lightning- plenty of seating (without reservation, the whole bar area is open)- the roof opens in the summer - epic- drinks are super delicious and well made- bartenders are fun and converse with youOverall, love this venue and frequent it for drinks.

I know Serra is said to be overrated but I think it's just great! My second time here was for lunch and the service was fast and servers were kind. I can't even argue that it's pricey because the ambiance is so nice. Food wasn't showstopping but it was really great, absolutely recommend the burrata and Brussels sprouts. The ravioli isn't special.
Be the first to ReplyThis place is beautiful.
The rooftop restaurant is beautifully decorated. The food was disappointing. We went on Valentines so the menu was limited but the options were a disappointment. The bread and dip were tasty though. The seats were very close to one another, we felt obligated to talk to the couple next to us because we were so close to each other.
Be the first to ReplyThe ambiance is great, beautiful place.
Eataly is always so crowded so it was kinda rough getting up here. But the staff was nice and it's so pretty up here. The food, however, is just alright. The calamari was solid and good bc of how crispy it was. However, the pastas were nothing to die for. This place is more about the vibes I guess
Be the first to ReplyI have no idea what's all the fuss is about this Italian
I have no idea what's all the fuss is about this Italian restaurant I have been to much prettier restaurants & I have had much better Italian food then thisIt's expensive, I don't mind paying extra if the food is amazing ! But for this food I felt like put money on the drain ! I ordered 1 drink, 1 pasta & 1 cup double espresso! With tips my bill was 55$ For one person this is just ridiculous It's not even that beautiful! I heard they change the decor by seasons. maybe the other Seasonal decor are better; This one kinda boring & disappointing! Most of the stuff were really nice ; especially the ones from Bangladesh! Very knowledgeable, helpful! The decor is ok, not a place I wanna go again & again ! Someone said it's one of the best restaurant in NYC business wise! Real surprising !I tried to give 4 stars but I just can't. Not fair to the other restaurants I have visited so far!The restaurant is clean, restrooms are clean too.
Be the first to ReplyAwesome and "instagrammable" rooftop bar and restaurant.
I visited on winter and it was covered and well-heated. The place is decorated with flowers everywhere. The bar has no service to the tables, but it was easy to get a round of drinks since there were not many people at the time. We came in for some drinks so can't comment on the quality of the food. Have to back sometime.

This restaurant is so beautiful & changes themes depending on the time of year. It was raining when I came here and it felt so magical hearing the pitter patter of the rain on their covered rooftop along with their floral decorations all over. Cute photo opportunities & delicious food. A fancy & pleasant setting for a meal. Especially loved the artichoke dish & their sparkling rose wine!
Be the first to ReplyI came here during restaurant week for lunch with a friend.
This friend I haven't seen in months and I was really glad to be able to see her and have lunch with her at this awesome restaurant. First off, I got really lost trying to find this place. It's in the Eataly building, but the elevators that lead up to the restaurant are hidden. I had a hard time finding the damn things. There is a sign that points to the elevators but it's not a large sign and it's literally hidden behind some of the shelves. When I finally got there, it's actually really nice. It's on the roof, not open roof, but it's surrounded by nice lighting and greenery. It gives off this positive vibe that makes for a nice experience. Since this was for lunch, I couldn't remember if appetizer or dessert was not included. I think it was dessert that wasn't included. We did get appetizers, I just don't remember what it was. I got this cocktail that sounded cool. But when I tasted it, it just tasted overwhelmingly like cough syrup. I tried to drink it but I just couldn't without gagging. Luckily, the waiter was really understanding and since I had barely touched it, allowed me to switch it to a glass of wine and didn't charge me for the cocktail. Entree wise, she got the gnocchi and I got the chicken. The chicken was really moist. It was pounded flat but it was dried out and it manage to retain the juices that made it flavorful. It was honestly some of the best chicken I have ever had. We weren't thinking of getting dessert but I decided to just get it because why the hell not? I got the profiteroles, which I have not had before. They came with a chocolate drizzle and they were to die for. So good, not overly sweet. They were the perfect end to the meal. My friend got the hazelnut cake which was also very good. I am really glad I got to try this place. I tried to come here before but there were not more reservations for the date I was looking at. If you haven't been here, I recommend it.
Be the first to ReplyGreat ambience, food/beverage options, and service.
I dined here for a work function, but would certainly come back again for date night. Our table ordered just about every app and dish on the menu, along with mixed drinks and wine. Every dish was fresh in quality and tasty. The waiter was attentive and accommodating to our group. I would recommend this spot for both intimate and group gatherings.

Had lunch there with my friends for restaurant week and everything was perfect!! The food was amazing, service was great and it was so beautifully decorated! The only difficulty was finding the restaurant!! It's inside the market/eatery building on the 14th floor and the elevator was a bit of a scary ride but the experience at the restaurant was totally worth it!

Cocktails are amazing here!! The food was good but not exceptional. It's Italian food but more like novelty Italian food with pasta drenched in red sauce. The place was packed and without a reservation, you have to wait a bit at the bar to see if someone leaves so you can grab their table. Service is amazing! The drinks arrived quickly but the food took time. It's okay. Just keep drinking.

The food was underwhelming which was expected based on the reviews. We went for the atmosphere which was gorgeous. My mom and I had the BEST drink of our lives here, the Myrtle Breeze. It was amazing and we cannot stop talking about it. We will definitely be back for that!
Be the first to ReplyWould I come back to this place? No.
Why you might ask. I believe this restaurant boosts their prices because of the decor. I went during winter time so I was able to experience the winter menu. $70 for gnocchi? Would never pay that price. I got the fried rice balls and the stuffed shells. They give very little portions for an extreme price. For someone to eat here you need to have a certain taste or pallet. This place is really good for instagram pictures and VSCO pictures. If you don't have a reservation they won't even let you step foot into the elevator to go upstairs. Certain people might say it is good but I wouldn't come back here. To get here, you have to walk through an Italian supermarket which is very odd. I had to ask the supermarket workers how to get to this restaurant. Very awkward. On the hand though after I was done eating, when I was leaving I got an authentic Italian Hazelnut Donut downstairs and it was phenomenal.

First time coming to Serra by Birreria and it did not disappoint! I brought my mom and aunt and they loved the decor and atmosphere of the space. Tasting menu was fantastic and the staff was delightful!

New Yorker here- honestly worst service experience I've had in the city. The server was inattentive, combative when we asked questions about the wine, and then disappeared. We had to ask 3 separate people for our bill. We were never offered bread or dessert. Our bartender while we were waiting for our table was amazing though!
