We ordered the pan fried vegetarian dumplings, which were excellent. The bamboo steamed pork dumplings weren't bad, but the meat did seem underseasoned. The BBQ pork buns were a bit disappointing, as they tasted like frozen pork buns. The place seemed a bit understaffed, but our waitress was efficient and the food arrived quite promptly. Overall, a decent dumpling place for a quick, cheap bite.

The pork soup dumplings are fresh, the pan fried dumplings are tender and the noodle dishes are defintely worth trying. Best to check it out with mates to try more of their dishes. BYO so bring your drinks, friends and an appetite.

.the waitress seemed rude..after waiting for over 30mins the quality of the food was appalling. .the dumsums actually seemed like the frozen ones from the supermarket. .

As far from China as it is, this little place's hustle and bustle will make you feel like you're in the heart of Shanghai. Lunchtime seats will surely prove challenging to find for those who casually walk-in without a reservation. Lest we be scared, because the staff will meticulously try to find you a table and will work hard to do so. Just watch out when ordering, as you may have to scream to get some attention. I'm serious, every-time I go there it's chokas! (Australian slang for packed). The great thing about this little joint is obviously its dumplings. Now, I'm no Chinese culinary expert, but I've had a few dumplings in my lifetime, and these guys make them pretty darn well! The menu will also allow you to go beyond the range of dumpling selections at an affordable price. I guess its proximity to a university necessitates the old "bang for the buck" value (no wonder its full of public servants at lunchtime).Overall, it's a good, quick and relatively cheap eat for Canberra standards.
