At lunch in the bar-Soup and salad perfection. We had their special chowder and it was delicious. Warmed us up from cold outside. Shared a great salad. Server was very nice

Wow, this place is amazing ! The food and service was great, the country music band was awesome and just to be in a place with so much history is cool. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Jackson Hole !
Be the first to ReplyBest place to dine in Jackson Hole!
Harrison Ford sightings are a real possibility here but I was not lucky enough to stumble into that. I did stumble into a great place to dine! A lovely menu, great food, a wonderful wine selection.
Be the first to ReplyThe worst customer service ever!
My first trip to Jackson Hole And I was excited to try the local businesses. We heard good things about this place so we gave it a try. The hosts greeted us when we walked in but from then on, the servers either had an issue even talking to women of color (Native American) or they all were in a bad mood with an attitude. We chalked that off as a bad day and tried it again two days later and were talked to rudely by a server when we asked where we could sit (bar or a table). We immediately left.

Great bar with live music. Tuesday night was great ! Lots of people dancing. Great cocktails. Attached to historic Wort hotel.
Be the first to ReplyGreat atmosphere, music and fun
This 5 star review is based on the fun we had this evening. 3 of us had dinner (couple of steaks and a burger) and the food was very good. One highlight to recognize was the red wine and garlic sauce that came with the NY Strip. Absolutely delicious. While we enjoyed the food, what made our night special was the band and watching folks dancing. The bar has a nice corner stage, with high end sound and lighting. The band played a mix of country, blues, and contemporary songs. They were excellent and the dance floor was always hopping. Our last night in Jackson Hole and this was our favorite. Can’t recommend dinner, drinks, and music at the Silver Dollar Grill highly enough. We had a great meal and lots of fun!!

Service was bad.I ordered the buffaloe burger. It wasn't buffaloe Iam pretty sure it was elk burger. Fries were barely warm.Would not recommend this place.
Be the first to ReplyDesserts were yummy steak lacked flavor
The waitstaff was amazing and very attentive. The food was ok. It didn’t have much flavor. We ordered the 6 oz fillet. It was overcooked but the sides were good mashed potatoes with bacon and asparagus. The desserts were good we ordered the peach and huckleberry crisp, lemon cake.

We stayed at The Wort and had lunch in the bar three times. Each time everything was great. Spec at the bar was super and we enjoyed talking with him. We were there once and he remembered our drink order. Corn chowder is the best I ever have had. Smoked trout appetizer was certainly large enough to share or as a meal. Elk sliders were also good. Night bar scene was lively with local music.
Be the first to ReplyBad service bad food
Service was terrible and the food was worse. Cold fries and undercooked fish. I ate on the bar side so perhaps the restaurant is different, but I’m not going to find out. Lots of choices in Jackson, don’t go here
Be the first to ReplyBest Steak in Wyoming
We had a wonderful meal. We all had steaks they were cooked differently and all were served together and cooked just right. The waitress was from Croatia and very very professional. The whole night was delightful. The next time we are in Jackson we will certainly return for another wonderful meal
Be the first to ReplyA let down on Christmas Day
We booked the Christmas Day Buffet at the Silver Dollar Bar and Grill for our stay in Jackson from the UK. I phoned to book early November but was too early and was given a date the booking window would open. I rang on this day first thing and got booked in for 3pm. A week or so later I called again to confirm my booking. I was informed the per head price and that seafood was also available and that there was also a child’s price/buffet. I was not told about time constraints or when the buffet closed. We turned up to our meal and we were shown into the restaurant area. There were no obvious Christmas decorations or anything to make you aware of the special day apart from the Christmas tree we had passed in reception between the bar and grill. On sitting down we were told we could go straight through to the buffet but I asked for drinks first. I noticed that we were one of only 3 small groups within the restaurant. Once the drinks arrived we went to the buffet. The selection was fairly good with both meat and veg. I noted a couple of empty server trays but assumed they would be refilled. On sitting down to eat it was clear that some of the food was quite cold. We assumed this was perhaps bad timing on our part , thinking fresh hot items may have come out in the meantime. After a while we returned to the buffet, a couple for seconds, the others for dessert. The food situation hadn’t improved in fact some server trays had been removed. I then heard what I assumed to be a supervisor telling staff they could help themselves to the food for snacks if they wanted to and this was repeated to several members of staff. We sat back down only to be told that if we wanted anymore food we would have to go to the buffet as it was closing. This was about 4-4.15. We were now the only people in the restaurant and so asked for the bill. This for 5 of us was around $500. I asked to see the manager and I explained my disappointment. He said that “Traditionally “ people understood that they would have an hour and that it finished at 4. I explained to him I had come from the UK and was not aware of the restaurants Christmas traditions as in all of my phone call’s nobody had mentioned it. The manager barely engaged in conversation did not apologise other than to say that they maybe dropped the ball at the time of booking! He then said he would reduce the bill by 20% not including drinks. Very disappointed I had sold this venue/event to my family due to a visit I made to Jackson years ago, telling them how fantastic the Wort hotel and its bar and grill was. I wouldn’t go there again and I wouldn’t recommend it either. Maybe they just don’t do Christmas very well?
Be the first to ReplyVery bad experience!
Very disappointed in the food and service! Only thing worth going for is the corn chowder! We arrived a few minutes early for our 6:30 reservation,we’re seated immediately and then went down from there. Had to ask for a drink menu, ordered drinks and a cup of their corn chowder. Finished that and then ordered dinner, my husband ordered short ribs and I ordered spare ribs. Took 45 minutes to get. The restaurant only had 3 other groups. We were about to leave when they brought us our food. The gentleman that brought our meal said dessert would be free. We chose not to wait any longer. No on apologized for the delay or anything else. Hate that this was the experience we had on our last night in Jackson Hole!

Our group stopped in for dinner and walked into a semi busy bar area. The waitress told us they had a limited menu and ran off. So we ordered a beer and left. She was not concerned with the problem and the bartenders ignored us too. The service could have been a lot better. They had very few choices on that paper menu. Guess they were waiting for ski season to start. To bad, it seemed like a cool place to hang out.

Great atmosphere and excellent food. A very good variety. It was slower when we went so we received great service and fast service
Be the first to ReplyGood and Bad
We did not stay at the Wort Hotel but we had dinner at the restaurant. The food was excellent, the service was great and the staff who took care of us were extremely friendly. We enjoyed our dinner and visit so much we decided to go back again 2 days later. On our second visit we were seated immediately. Unfortunately after we were seated we were ignored. No one brought menus or water. About 10 minutes later, someone brought two glasses of water and said our waitress would be right with us. She walked by a few times and said she would be right back. Eventually she came back and we told her we were ready to order. She took our order and left. It took an unusually long time for our food to come. When it did, we ate it and enjoyed it. No one came to check on us to see if we needed anything. We finished eating and no one came to clear our plates. No one brought the check. We were just about ready to get up and tell the hostess where we were sitting so we could pay our bill when our waitress, Stephanie, appeared with the bill. We had waited at least 20 minutes or more. We paid the bill with our credit card but did not leave a tip...something we do not normally do but the service on our second visit was atrocious. We got to leave and walked out. I walked out before my husband and was already outside when I heard Stephanie yelling at my husband. She had run after him as he left the restaurant, grabbed him by the arm and yelled, "Thanks for nothing after I served you!" It was unbelievable. I guess some people don't understand that a tip is earned and is not required. Shame on you Stephanie. I did go back in to talk to the manager. He listened to me but I got the feeling he didn't really care.
Be the first to ReplyLunch before heading to the Tetons
The Silver Dollar Bar & Grill is located inside the Wort Hotel and has outdoor and inside seating. We were looking for something unusual, and were able to get elk sliders, bison chili, and a buffalo burger. Everything was excellent!
Be the first to ReplyVisiting Grand Tetons and stopped to eat dinner before heading back to Yellowstone
We had spent all day in the Grand Teton National park and stopped in Jackson to shop and get some dinner. We had stoped in another place but it was more of a bar than a restaurant so we decided to stop in here. It too is kind of a bar scene but had a nice and different menu than other places and we like to try out new restaurants when we are traveling. The server was nice and waited quickly on us, getting us drinks and an appetizer. The food was really good here and the service was great. Just kind of loud in here but it was a really open area with a lot of people. Price wasn’t too bad and I would definitely eat here again if in the area,
Be the first to ReplyGreat food in a Historic Setting
We had lunch there last week. They have nice outdoor seating but we decided on indoors. My chicken, bacon and avocado sandwich was perfectly cooked and tender. My husband opted for the bison burger which was a bit dry but overall very good. The atmosphere was old school ranch with lots of authentic, period details. Wait staff were very nice, food was timely. The restrooms are fun and entertaining. There is a boatload of historic photos in the hallway which enhanced the whole experience. The hotel lobby is charming with an enormous buffalo head over the fireplace. Just fun all around.

The Silver Dollar Bar & Grill did not disappoint. Great dinner. We had the trout and it was fabulous.

We heard from the locals this is the best place for soup. So we tried it, is was really good. Nice place quite busy for lunchtime.

After a terrible experience at Cowboy Bar,We had a great time ,best Bartender and drinks were fabulous, whiskey sour best ever, the band was great and food, gyro bison, french onion soup, onion rings.
Be the first to ReplySlowly marvelous meal.
The food was all so good. The thing that stood out most was the onion rings. If you like onion rings these will appeal to you. Also the elk sliders were wonderful. I would strongly recommend the elk sliders and onion rings. I ate the nachos and they were good as well. The service was super slow and normally I would drop my rating to a four, but I think most of the restaurants here are having staffing issues so I didn’t count off for slow service. The wait staff were friendly and helpful but I think just overwhelmed with numbers of tables.
Be the first to ReplyLive music and good food.
Loved the live music! We started with nachos and added chicken - this was plenty for a meal, but we wanted to try the Bison burgers and they were delicious. Finished with a Peach and Huckleberry cobbler (yum). The band played a variety of music (but mostly country/ western) from 7-10 and people were dancing. Fun time and good food.
