Special place.
This is a slightly different restaurant, you can read up on their website. The food was very good, we ordered a plate for 2 and it was more than enough food. Entertainment was so so, we had expected a knight or two but they were conspicuous by their absence.

Delicious meats, care must be taken when ordering the variety because it is large. Atmosphere of a medieval castle. You eat without a fork, only with a knife. The "show" is funny, it's worth watching if you're not looking for a quiet dinner.
Be the first to ReplyFun night out in Budapest. Generous portions
A fun night out. Full of tourists. Plentiful portions and average price for what you get. Entertainment is average. More fire eating and belly dancing rather than medieval entertainment. Good decor. Staff aren't overly friendly. Don't expect any forks!

A very suggestive place recommended by a local guide. Characteristic of the place there are no forks and you have to eat only with a spoon and knife and they give you a napkin as a bib. In my opinion it deserves it
Be the first to ReplyHaving nothing to do we chose nothing
If you are in Budapest and you have seen everything in 2 days, which is a long time, and you want to waste your money on a restaurant that has very little medieval features... go ahead!!! The food is not bad but don't call it a restaurant with a show!!! The show is obscene!!
Be the first to ReplyMust have experience!
An experience you should not miss! We had a plate for 2 which was a looooot of food, very tasty, and res house wine very nice. You donโt have fork , they bring only knife for the neat and spoon for the sauce, so you have to eat with your hands somehow :) very tasty food!! And some funny shows also! We had a reservation to be sure we wouldnโt miss it

Booked this restaurant (31 March 24) based on reviews on Trip Adviser and its own website where it shows videos offering a variety of entertainment during the meal. We were a couple, and were seated on the second level with an ariel view of the "entertainment area" on the ground level by looking over a balcony. After 40 minutes, a belly dancer appeared on the ground level and performed for around 5 minutes. Nothing happened then for another 50 minutes, when the same girl performed a "fire dance". After that - nothing. No further entertainment, and the 2 hours allowed disappeared and the next customers for the table were waiting. We asked the waiter when the entertainment was going to happen and he simply said "soon" several times. In short - a con. The food was expensive - presumably to cover the cost of the "entertainment" which consisted of about 10 minutes dancing. Bottom line - a scam !

It is nice, even if it is for tourists. Quality of food is good, workers are nice and well behaved and preparedโฆโฆ. The dishes are big, bigger than indicated in the menu. Mixed grill for 4 is enough for 5. It is spicy but good
Be the first to ReplyTourist place but worth trying
It's a place for tourists but worth a try if you're in Budapest. Between one course and another, shows enliven the evening. Abundant portions (we took a plate for 4 and there were 6 of us), be careful there are no forks.
Be the first to ReplyYou won't leave hungry here
You won't leave here hungry. Huge portions, wearing a bib, knife and spoon. Heavy food, as was eaten in the old days. And if you can't finish, you are offered a doggy bag for the leftovers. Super nice service. Remember to book a table. Entertainment in the form of fencing, fire dancers and a belly dancer who was definitely not dressed in medieval clothes. Interior as in the Middle Ages, and the staff as well.
Be the first to ReplyBrilliant dinner experience
Honestly we had such good fun here. Seen some reviews saying food could better but for me I couldnโt have cared we went for the experience and it was worth it for the entertainment alone
Be the first to ReplyGood atmosphere disappointing food
A very beautiful place, a good feeling and an impressive knightly experience, the performances and service are also excellent, the level of the food must be improved, the roast meat is well done until dry. There is a gap between what is described in the menu and what is received
Be the first to ReplyIt was fantastic!
An excellent medieval-style restaurant that is well characterised: from the dรฉcor to the waiters to the food. Friendly and welcoming staff, fast service and plentiful but above all delicious and richly flavoured food. We had two feast menus and the quantity was perfectly proportionate to the price. The last treat are the mini shows that accompany the dinner at intervals: fire eaters, belly dancers, fire dancers and the sword show. Absolutely not to be missed.
Be the first to ReplyCheesy entertainment, tasty food
Food arrived in large portions, very tasty. The performances were embarrassing to watch. The staff are dressed in costume which was fun. Uncomfortable wooden bench seating, we were a group of 6 and placed beside another group on a large table.
Be the first to ReplyWonderful visit !!!

Be the first to ReplyDoesn't worth it!
I don't write bad reviews but I couldn't avoid this one.
The food was row. The waitress very politely took it back .So they recooked it and brought it back..hm.. couldn't eat it. So we paid alot without eating!!
And another issue..how you can eat meat without a fork??? I don't recommend this restaurant, but if you want to try it ..take a fork with you.
Low-level show competing the mediocre food
Lots of promises, with no justification. The show is ridiculous and not funny, and the food - well, they throw everything into a deep fried, and whatever comes out - gets served. The duck thigh was OK, but the breast came out dry and sticky, and so did some unidentified skewers - dry and inedible.

very bad experience.
Unprofessional.
Made reservation on Monday for Friday, got a confirmation email and when arrived at restaurant they didnt have our reservation so they took us in a small room alone.
the manager was very rude and had very bad behaviour.
highly DONT recommend this restaurant
Give it a try!
Eating here is definitely an experience. This is a medieval themed restaurant with an interesting decoration where the waiters have special costumes on. The portions are really big so keep this in mind before ordering. We were 4 people and ordered three different dishes to share and it was satisfying (Crispy drumsticks, Princess' dream, Monk's dish). Be prepared to eat your food with your hands as there are no forks!!! Our waitress was very kind and helpful. Sir Lancelot also offers a show by performers, belly dancing, fire juggling!
Be the first to ReplyWorth a try..
Eating at this Medieval restaurant is a unique experience that, in my opinion, you should definitely try.. The waiters were dressed with Medieval outfits, there are certain entertaining programs (fire joggling, belly dancing etc) and everything makes you feel like you are in a different era.. The portions of the food are very big (don't expect a fork for your meal, you will eat with your hands as if you're playing in game of thrones).. The food in general was very tasty, maybe some improvements are needed..
