The decor is the highlight. Enough said!
Relatively small restaurant for lunch. When we were there only three tables were occupied and most of the time we could not find any service staff! At one point a kitchen staff had to go and find them in a room at the back. The food is good enough but not exceptional. Decor is very nice and service could be better. Prices a bit on the high side as the portions for the set course are relatively small. Ingredients are fresh and tasty. Would not be my first choice in Dempsey

Was here to celebrate my bossโs second work anniversary with the company. Exceptionally good service, all the employees are well dressed and their dedication to serve is beyond remarkable! Special mention to Kye Seng, very detailed in introducing the dishes and we were so certain about the things that were going into our mouths! Good eye for detail and spot on in recommending wines that suits our taste and preference! We truly enjoyed our meal there and would return in the future! Good job Siri Team!

We were travelling in Singapore and found this restaurant has good reviews online. Thai fusion - very innovative and delicious. The venue was lovely, and service was excellent. Would love to go back!

I came here with my family, first time visiting Singapore, we were welcomed by the restaurant manager who was very friendly and attentive. Always making sure we were looked after, loved the restaurantโs ambient atmosphere with beautiful decor. The food was exceptional, clean dishes, phenomenal taste, and quality was first class. The oysters were imported from Japan, it was meaty and fresh - it was delicious! We had scallops for starters, it was refreshing and tasty. For mains, I chose ribeye steak, it was cooked to perfection and melts in your mouth - highly recommended. My sister had the beef rib, it was so tender and full of flavour - also highly recommended!

The food was delicious, the decor and atmosphere, perfect for a birthday dinner. Unfortunately let down by a number of factors that are so easily fixable. We waited 15 mins for our drinks order to taken, and another 10 mins for them to arrive, after some of the original order wasnโt available. The menu is small so being informed that one of the four appetisers (Burrata) and one the four meat mains (Pork Rib Eye) were not available was disappointing. Starters came and went (Bikini was excellent). We then ordered a main each with plenty of sides to share. The sides and the Vegetarian main came and sat there for over 10 mins before some of the mains were served with another 5 min wait before the final mains were served. The sides by this time were cold. Apologies were delivered but it had changed the mood of the celebration. Final nail in The Coffin was that a very decent Aussie Shiraz was fridge chilled and too cold to properly enjoy. What a shame that this meal will be remembered for all the wrong reasonsโฆ

Excellent find. Small menu but every dish done well. There were 6 of us so we had the opportunity to try most of the food. Burrata for starters was a gem, the pork and the prawn parperdelle was sensational. Service was very decent nothing to fault. This is not a place for kids so be aware and dont complain.
Be the first to ReplyGood food terrible service
โข the menu was very limited for children and I would not recommend taking them
โข the staff was not child friendly
โข we were the first people at the restaurant. there were no other guests there when we came and in the middle of our meal the asst manager came to us with a mask for my younger son. He said that a lady complained that when we had come into the restaurant, my younger son wasnโt wearing a mask. First, in these times how is it possible that someone isnโt wearing a mask and second, there was no one at the restaurant even after 10 min of when we came. So how could she make such a remark and then how could the manager come to us without any due diligence.
Date Night Out Kinda Place โค
Ambience was great inside out. The outdoor seating were very pleasant, with lots of greenery. They offered us mosquito spray and sanitisers which was very thoughtful. Service was great, attentive and friendly ๐
The food was both appealing to the eye and tasteful. Do know that set menus are not available during the weekends. They do serve brunch as well and we were invited for it. Maybe I will try the brunch in time to come.
Good place for a date night out definitely ๐
Tapas
Fusion cuisine, largely tapas. Even the size of mains were slightly smaller than usual. I would say good for 1, not for sharing. Unless you are going to share every dish on the menu.
Service was friendly, perhaps a little under-staffed, from the open kitchen, could see everyone busy-ing but still took a while for our food to be served. And I guess cos of that, they gave us complimentary desserts at the end, on top of the complimentary glass of cocktail at the start.
In order of personal preference -
Unagi Risotto
Grilled Cheese Sandwich with Parma Ham and Rosette Salami
Kombu Butter Potatoes
Short Ribs
Beef Fat Popcorn
Korean Cauliflower with Spam Crisp
Mentaiko Toast
Nothing too wow about the desserts though. Definitely a nice chill out place with friends, over wine and tapas.
Great food sevice and ambience
Beautiful experience with great service. Special mention for their staff especially Desiree who made sure everything was just perfect for a girls night out!
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful , cosy restaurant
We were allocated the sofa seat at the section behind the kitchen. Nice! So cosy , with funky interior design. We tried two starters- the raw scallops and the prawn salad. Scallops had the yuzu sauce which added balance to the โrawness โ of the scallops. I was expecting mango or papaya as the base of the salad but it turned out to be finely chopped lettuce. Was underwhelmed by this dish. For the mains, we had the duck noodle soup and prawn papardelle. Wow! Both were good! Duck soup broth was tasty. It was boiled with the duck meat for some time . The duck breast slices were lean. Prawn papardelle was also worth trying. Portions were not big. But enough for sharing. We had Razaliff serving us. He was prompt and happy to make recommendations.

Really enjoyed this funky little spot! They have a weekend brunch menu and I highly recommend their "bikini sandwich" - toasted parma ham with cheese and truffle! It's not a salady kind of brunch menu, and is a bit carbs heavy, but it's worth the calorie splurge! Other than our preferred wine being out of stock, the service was refreshingly good!
Be the first to ReplyDelicious and Elegant hidden gem in Dempsey Hill
A great little hidden gem at the back of Dempsey Hill with elegant decor and delicious fusion Asian flavours. Staff are super friendly and incredibly accommodating to dietary requirements. My friends and I love it here for a fun group dinner as most of the menu is meant to be shared, but it's equally as nice for a date night. Personally I love the risotto balls, cauliflower, chicken oysters and the scallop. One of my fav restaurants in Singapore - a must try it if you haven't already!

Something different from your usual boring set lunches! The appetizers, main, dessert are amazing! All of us choose 2 course (1 Small plate + 1 Main). But we decided to have 2 dessert to share. The dessert Tau Huay and Jam and Toast are so interesting and tasty. I'm having less of a sweet tooth these days but I simply love it.
The appetizer Bao soft shell crab is a winner. Mushroom small plate is interesting. Bikini small plate is just cheese and ham toast but a lot tastier.
Main Snapper looks boring. Duck somen is a sure winner. Seafood pasta is ok.
Cocktail Grape Expectation is interesting but wine by the glass has to do better - in terms of price and selection. SGD 19 a glass which is about 110ml pour. And only 2 selection of wine by the glass.
Overall lunch sets are great value with such an interesting concept just hope they can lower the price of their wine/ bigger pour! and more selection.
Spoiled !
Celebrating birthdays in these pandemic times has taken on new challenges. Masking up and whittling down groups to the mandatory rule of 5 are just some. However, some F&B outlets like the fantastic Siri House really go the extra mile and pull out all the stops. Our party of 5 lunched at Siri House on Dempsey in November to celebrate a birthday. The ambience , food and service were impeccable. The friendly and knowledgable wait staff who were happy to make recommendations, like the young Singaporean chef( the other one was not on ) made it an afternoon delight. The rain did not dampen our spirits cos the warmth of the staff and the delectable food cheered us up immediately. Shawn, who waited on us was excellent. We opted for the set lunch with small plates like the softshell crab Bao and the braised pork belly Bao, Shitake mushroom custard and seared crab, and the house salad of lemon grass prawn. All of which were mouth watering and out-of this world.
For our mains we had the pan seared snapper perfectly done with tea broth, french beans and charred leeks, Unagi risotto( I am not fond of risotto, but the birthday girl who had the mushroom and asparagus risotto had no complains. Another of our friends enjoyed the unagi risotto with mushrooms . My other companion had the truffle aglio olio pappardelle with cherry tomatoes , baby kailan, oyster mushrooms and an Onsen egg. I relished my Crustacean sauce pappardelle Aglio Olio with tiger prawns, and blue mussels. The dessert of Jam and toas tcame highly recommended, Basically a twist on kaya toast, Kaya creme, brown butter crumbs, cured egg yolk and toasted milk ice cream. Yummy indeed. The tropical Tau Hua is also not to be missed the combined flavours of mango with chilli , coconut panacotta and passion fruit granita just hit the right spot. Definitely an afternoon delight ! By the time the complimentary dessert for the birthday girl arrived, we were stuffed but we still polished it off. A word of caution , we are small eaters , but do note that the portions are small and if you have a big appetite, then you might want to order accompaniments.
Thanks to the staff of Siri House for spoiling us thoroughly! Good Job team Siri House
Beautiful ambiance
I've been to Siri house for lunch twice. Beautiful ambiance and good set lunch so I will be back. Only thing is the aircon is not keeping the indoor part of restaurant cool enough, perhaps they should not leave their doors open (with waiters going in and out to serve alfresco customers). Both visits, I was sweating through and normally I don't even sweat!!
