Great, modern European restaurant
First visit for our wedding anniversary. Booked online, very easy to book. The staff were very friendly and helpful but equally discreet. The food combined a few modern twists (eg chestnut hummus) with classic dishes (artichokes, ribeye steak etc). Cooked to perfection, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit. Thank you to all the staff for looking after us so well!

We were in a flat near Six Portland Road and wandered by-had no idea Six was in the 'hood. Had a wonderful meal on Sunday night. It was not crowded, ate our delicious fish at leisurely pace with a very nice bottle of wine-rec'd by Kyle. Shout out to Kyle, resto mngr, for taking time to chat and make us feel so welcome. We'll be back!

Be the first to ReplyUniquely different London restaurant
I had experienced the pleasure of eating lunch at Number Six before the pandemic. So last night myself and a friend met there for dinner. The restaurant was full but as a neighborhood eatery noise levels were more of a background hum of polite conversation. The charming staff swiftly guided me to a table near the bar and a vodka martini straight up was served quickly. My friend ordered a bloody Mary which looked efficient but he said was a tad spicy. Settling in I ordered asparagus with a hollandaise sauce and poached egg and my get opted for octopus. Both delicious. The asparagus was cooked just to the right point before al dente becomes soggy and the sauce was creamy and piquant. For the main I selected Dover sole with jersey royals. Competently cooked soft but textured. We chose a mid priced white burgundy and finished with rhubarb mess. Overall the staff were pleasant and attentive, the ambience is lovely but such a pity they don't have access to outside space at the back or front as in the summer it could become a little stuffy. My suggestion would be to fit doors across the front of the restaurant that fold back and extend a row of seats there allowing air to flow through. It's not cheap but our bill was self inflicted by ordering 2 bottles of the delicious crisp white wine. Overall a very pleasant experience and not the ear drum busting norm of most London restaurants. Highly recommended.

Our evening was just perfect.
Perfect lunch spot ๐๐ผ
Lovely spot for lunch; it was a birthday treat for my wife & didnโt disappoint. The serving staff (particularly the general manager) weโre spot on, nice selection of wines & beers too. We will be back! Thanks guys you were ace!
Be the first to ReplyNoisiest restaurant in London!
Great place for hearing-impaired people! Otherwise, forget it. Outrageously noisy! Doesn't matter how good or bad the food is, because the noise spoiled everything. Especially outrageous was the fact that the manager (owner?) was having a party there with a large noisy crowd, thereby spoiling the atmosphere for everyone else. He could have just rented the whole place instead of ruining our evening. DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS PLACE! Inexcusable.

I havenโt had a meal like this in a very long time. Everything was cooked to perfection, paired with excellent wine and finished off with a divine desert. After an emotionally draining morning my mood changed completely, thanks to this perfect lunch. I will be definitely visiting again.

Cozy and intimate hidden gem.
Chestnut hummus was delicious, chateaubriand was perfectly rested, with a silky peppercorn and brandy sauce. Lemon thyme semifreddo was surprising me as the perfect meal ending. Good quality espresso.
The kitchen was clean, with a tidy extraction fan. All the Chefs wear tidy uniform. Hygiene is absolutely guaranted. Great job guys: you deserve more visit from us. A special thanks to the lovely lady at the front, that make us feeling at home.
Wow!
What a fantastic little place. Very welcoming & fab food - what more could you want? From the moment we arrived everything was perfect - almost like going to a friends for dinner.

Great meal from the three course lunch menu. Delicious food, high quality service and lovely decor. Really nice to have all of the doors at the front open to the street. The sea bass was delicious and the wine was served in beautiful glasses.

Waiters cool and distant, don't seem to match the nice and inviting interior of the place.
