It doesn't get any better than Steak 48!
Went on a busy Friday Night. Reservations are a must! Probably one of the best and classiest Ambiance ever. Walk to your table and there are glass walls showing off the impressive wine cellar and the kitchen minus the smoke. We were celebrating a belated birthday for me. The steaks were perfect. The shrimp ($12 each) were large and delicious. Sides were the best! The celebration dessert was perfect, strawberries included! Without a doubt next time in town we are dining here again!
One of the BEST Restaurant evenings you will ever have, ANYWHERE
Entering is the beginning of an exceptional evening you will never forget and want to return always. You have a feeling of perfection before you even sit down be it a private room, The Special Del Mar bar in the quiet area to the rear, or the bar in the front. Anthony or Gillain at the bar tended to me during the evening and they both knew everything you ever wanted to know about the menu and how it is prepared. You should know that the wine and cocktails are heavy pours 9 oz min for wine and 5 1/2 oz min. for Martini's. The fresh baked platter of rolls served in an iron skillet are the best i've had anywhere, the smaller 12 oz. NY Strip I had was more than enough for even a good appetite served on a 500 degree platter and done perfectly , my choice medium rare, juicy, great taste and so tender. I tried 2 sides , one of Scalloped Potatoes and the other Creamed Spinach. Both exceeded expectations with flavor, being hot and just over the top good. The sides by the way are enough for at least 2-3 people. The ambiance, food, service and general hospitality of the entire staff makes your evening one of the best you will ever have anywhere.

Celebrating 15 anniversary and the service accommodated so well it almost felt like I had the entire dinner revolve around us. Absolutely love it, I’ve been to 48 in Beverly Hills and I’m shocked Del Mar lived up the name. Thanks everyone!
Absolutely wonderful
The restaurant is beautiful & because there’s a dress code it feels classy. The service from the valet the busboys is impeccable. The food was absolutely delicious! Our cocktails were primo, the meatball appetizer was huge and tasty. We split salads & they were plentiful. We all had steaks which were tender, cooked to perfection & mouthwatering yummy. They come to the table in a plate that is 500 degrees! That way your food never gets cold & somehow our steaks all remained medium rare-rare. We ordered mac & cheese, hasslebeck potatoes & the cauliflower. The sides were more than enough for the four of us. We loved all three, but the cauliflower was our favorite. For dessert we had the peanut butter pie & the warm vanilla caramel cake & both were a special treat! Our only request would be a bit more light. It’s dark and hard to see where the bone is in your steak or see your food as you’re eating. Overall it was a wonderful evening! The prices aren’t that much higher than most restaurants. The difference is there are no sides included with your steak. We will definitely be back to try some more items on the menu!
Lively fine dining!
Amazing from start to finish! Great dining all the way around! Service top notch! We were seated at the bar the two times we’ve dined at Steak 48, we enjoyed our dining experience. Spencer & crew behind the bar, were informative on the menu items to assist in what we ultimately decided on. Oysters, shrimp, deviled eggs, chopped wedge, creamed spinach, 22oz bone in steak with their finishing touch, two chocolate chip cookies with our check. Perfection! New favorite! Thank you!

Don’t celebrate Here!!! I did the reservation a week in advance for my son birthday party They call me in the morning to confirm the reservation and they asked me again about my sons birthday if we were celebrating it ( just faking that they were interested , they were not , only to confirm the table ) We have a family dinner they recommend us the butcher Cut special ( never mention the price ) and they charged $175 + tax +tip ) for a 12 ounces regular meet ( no wagyu ) At the end of the night the brought the check and not a single small piece of cake with a candle Very trendy and well decorated place, but everything is fake , only your money will not be fake at this place To be honest , very disappointing a Christmas holiday dinner with the family If you want to celebrate , please don’t go here there are plenty of places were they will give you a better experience and take a little care of you and your family , no only see you as a moving credit card Miguel
An incredible steak dinner!
I had my family of six in Delmar for the week of thanksgiving. This dinner was extremely memorable and was in fact one of the highlights of our trip! The food was outstanding, and the service was impeccable. I had a Wagyu strip steak for the first time in my life and I’ve never tasted anything like it.. truly like butter, perfectly cooked and presented We also had an extensive array of appetizers, including raw bar, colossal shrimp that were beyond description. For our family, this is on the level of special occasion establishments when you want a dinner that’s more than a dinner, this is definitely a great call. These folks clearly run the extra mile and it shows.
Fabulous service
We went for our 10th wedding anniversary; we were visiting from the UK after we got married in San Diego back in 2014. We contacted the restaurant prior to booking to ask if they could make us a gluten and dairy free cheesecake for dessert (as there were no options on the menu that suited my dietary requirements). They responded straight away and advised they could and just to confirm the week before. We contacted them the week before to confirm we were still coming and asked if they could make an 8-inch cheesecake so that we could take the rest home with us. On arrival we were greeted with congratulations and every member of staff we encountered wished us a happy anniversary. We didn’t have any starters (wanted to save room for dessert and was just as well). We both had the filet mignon 12oz with 3 side dishes between us. This was more than enough for us, and the steak was tender. Then the pastry chef brought out our dessert, which was beautiful and tasted just as good, we were so glad we had asked for a large one so we could take the rest home. The service we had from Arman was just phenomenal and the best service we have ever had in any restaurant. To top it off they gave us the cheesecake complimentary which was not something we expected, and we were truly touched by the gesture (we made up for it in the tip!). I am surprised at the lack of reviews on TripAdvisor as the restaurant was packed and it was a Thursday night. If you are celebrating a special occasion, then would definitely recommend this restaurant.
Waste of time and money
Overrated in nearly every aspect. The food is OK if you think dishes with unnecessarily excessive calories (especially their lame deserts) are acceptable. Of course, overpriced too. BTW, you might be unpleasantly surprised if you bring your own special wine. No, I am not even referring to their unexpected $85 cork fee!

* FamousStation67 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to FamousStation67 for any questions Peter may have as FamousStation67 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* FamousStation67 now uses their connections at Steak 48 Del Mar Town Center to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If FamousStation67 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, FamousStation67 receives the $200 reward which is credited to FamousStation67's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
