The appetizers were really yummy. It was three mini appetizers more like three amuse bouche, which included a meatball, which was delicious, a single shrimp with a cocktail sauce, and mushroom soup. My table liked them so much we got seconds. They were served family style, which was a negative for me, I wish we had each been given each an individual plate of three. I don’t want to worry about someone else’s already used fork hitting my food by accident. My husband had prime rib, which was very good. I had the pork and it was ok not great. I swapped polenta for roasted potatoes and was very happy with the potatoes. If you have read any other of my restaurant reviews, I don’t like when food drowning in oil or butter, so I though roasted potatoes was safer, and I was happy with them. It was also served with spinach, which was way too garlicky for me, but I think most people would like the level of garlic. I tried one of my husband’s carrots and it was crazy salty, but he said the ones he ate weren’t. I ordered a side of broccolini and it wound up being broccoli, almost no seasoning, which was perfect for me in combination with everything else. Desserts were way better than I expected, and my husband especially loved the apple. I wish there had been one cake option. I’m surprised there isn’t a cupcake for kids, if there had been I would have asked for one myself and forgone one or two of the others. All desserts were creamy or mushy types of desserts; mousse, panna cotta, and fruit pie; and although they were done very well and fairly firm, I prefer food on the dryer side and not a lot of diary. I’m more of a cake person not pudding or pie person. I still give the desserts high marks knowing what they should be like, even if it was not my preference. Characters were excellent. Our waitress was excellent. I would do it again.
