Good dinner spot when we were craving ramen
Delicious dinner for vegetarians and omnivores. Favorite dishes from our evening at Sukiya Ramen: vegi shoyu; vegi miso; kale vegi ramen. Waitstaff were friendly and responsive. We were served quickly and didn't feel rushed.

My daughter and soon to be son-in-law come here, and suggested we dine here while visiting. A great idea! My husband had the curry ramen, the vegetarian ramen was great as were the other dishes. We ordered appetizers char su bao, potstickers and sesame balls. We had great service and food came out in a timely manner. They don't accept reservations but we timed it well. I recommend.

Delicious! Small, unassuming spot. We shared Spicy Tonkatsu Ramen & yakisoba. Both were great! Also very reasonably priced.
Be the first to ReplyPoor Customer Service and Bad Food
Very disappointed with our service and food last night from Sukiya on Arapahoe Rd. We arrived at 8:30pm and there were two couples waiting before us. When Keon the host greeted us, he lied and said there were six people waiting ahead of us, and suggested we go to their Broadway location because it is open until 10pm. We said no thanks, so he said that they stop seating at 8:40 and he looked at his watch and it was almost 8:40 but not quite, but he said that we could order to go instead, meanwhile the other two couples that were waiting were seated (all happening within 5 minutes) and there was one table left, and no one else there waiting but us. Despite the fact that he just seated the other people and there was a table left, we had to order to go because he wouldn't seat us. Their posted hours says they are open until 9pm, so what's their problem? So we ordered to go and sat down to wait, so then he comes to us and tells us they're out of the Chasu Buns we ordered, so we said fine, and picked something else. He suggested the fried chicken, but we didn't want the fried chicken and told him that we wanted the gyoza. When they bring out our order there's fried chicken in the bag! So we tell the waitress that its not what we ordered. So then Keon comes up and puts a Sapporo in our bag, I guess as a way to resolve the problem, which was just insulting. At this point we just leave with the food because its too much trouble. So we get home, and the food was so disappointing. The tonkatsu ramen soup tasted like it was watered down, no flavor at all. $15 for a bowl of water basically. Keon was so eager to close the place up, he wouldn't seat us, even when they clearly could have, and then they gave us crappy food. They should just post their hours closing at 8:30p instead of 9pm if that's how they are going to treat their customers, by telling them lies and not seating them. Keon was rude, full of lies, and arrogant, and obviously trying to get rid of fried chicken. He wouldn't take no for an answer. I have been there several times before, during the day, and its been fine. I guess Keon just wanted to get home.

We really enjoyed the ramen. I had the Hakata Tonkotsu and my wife had the spicy version. Both were excellent, with chewy noodles, rich broth, and two big juicy slices of cha shu. Lots of menma, which is unusual, and no corn. It could have used a bit more pickled ginger 紅しょうが. Service was quick and efficient.
Be the first to ReplyDefinitely not your college ramen!!!
If you are under the impression that ramen is like the packaged ramen you ate in college, you are in for a surprise. Sukiya Rame is an absolutely amazing place for food. Ramen and other dishes are served hot and quickly and are so very delicious. If you haven't tried this small gem, you need to be here. If you come once, you will come again. This was my 2nd time here and I was not disappointed.

Was craving ramen after watching a special on Japan so after working out, we ordered lunch. I thought only take out and delivery was available so I ordered to go using their online service. I decided on the Nagasaki seafood ramen which is regular noodles in a seafood and pork broth with mussels, half an egg, bean sprouts, Bok Choy, shrimp, bamboo, naruto, green onion, pickled ginger, corn, Brussels sprouts and nori. He decided on a vegi miso ramen which is regular noodles in a miso vegetable broth with tofu, half an egg, Bean sprouts, Bok choy, broccoli, green onion, corn, pickled ginger, steamed carrots, nori and bamboo. The noodles are yellow egg noodles which I like. We were stuck in a traffic jam caused by an accident so I was worried that the noodles would be limp and soggy by the time we got there. But I needn’t had worried, they had the noodles separate from the soup and the containers were sturdy. It’s a big serving and the soups were deliciously seasoned. Tasty and the seafood in my dish was well cooked. Not rubbery and chewy. I did add tofu. I couldn’t tell what was what but I can tell you the ramen was yummy and hit the spot. The corn I could have done without. I didn’t think it added anything to the dish. And they have dine in available so next time I’ll eat in.
Be the first to ReplyNot a Japanese Food Fan....Until Now!
My experience with Japanese food is very limited because I don't like it much so don't go to Japanese restaurants. I wouldn't have gone to this one had I known, but we were told it was Korean food. Well, I am certainly glad I went. Maybe it is modified Japanese style catering to Americans; I don't know. It seemed like a cross between Korean and Chinese styles, maybe a little Vietnamese style thrown in. Regardless, all four of our meals were excellent and we plan on returning.

The noodles were just right (not too soft and just the right chew). They have different broths (tonkotsu, shoyu, miso). The karaage was crispy too.

I stopped here for a quick bite on the way back to my hotel and was glad I did - great service and excellent ramen! The staff were quick and attentive, but I didn’t feel rushed at all.

Dropped if for lunch with family. They all had Ramen--huge bowls and all said very delicious. I went for a noodle dish which hit the spot. Service was good, prices fine and food very good. Can't miss here!

Had the yummy Yakisoba with beef and and some Gyoza (potstickers). Very tasty and exactly like I remember eating in Japan. Good place to eat if you’re in the mood for Japanese cuisine.

The teriyaki chicken and Ramen were delicious . The customer service is good too. The place gets crowded really fast and there is no reservation.

With no ramen house in our area, we are always looking for one. When we drove by this place it’s simply said “RAMEN” on the side of the building. We went inside, and the Decor is so inviting; It’s not tacky, but more classical Japanese open style. They have so many different types of Ramen; I loved the miso and hubby could not get enough of the Tonkotsu. Prices range around $11 a bowl; enjoyed great edamame and gyoza Appetizers . The waitstaff are so friendly, it made such a welcoming atmosphere. If you love ramen, definitely drop by. We also love that they do take away; it’s is ready in 10-15 min by phone order.
