Summer House Santa Monica Chicago Reviews
I had high hopes but I wasn't blown away.
This place is cute for the aesthetics. However, the food was just OK. We had a bit of a wait so we got a cookie to start with. The guy behind the counter had recommended the snickerdoodle which was a bit more battery than I had hoped. For the food we
What a disappointment.
The waiter said I could not get an omelet as my 3-egg option, so I ordered the scrambled eggs. They were overcooked, but must have sat for a while because they were not hot when delivered to my table. The hash browns were crisp on one side and mush
Summer House Santa Monica on North Halsted feels like
Summer House Santa Monica on North Halsted feels like stepping straight into a California beach summer. The bright, all-white design and open, airy vibe make you forget you're in the middle of Chicago -- it honestly feels like being on the beach
The food and ambiance was 11/10.
Our server James really topped off the experience. The high level of customer service, superb recommendations, and fun that he provided was unmatched. This is my personal new go to brunch spot.

The food is always great and really good service.
This is for the happy hour and cookie bar.
Cookies are some of the best in Chicago, especially if you like soft cookies. The Thai banana chocolate chip is sooo good. Happy hour is an amazing deal - $5 wine and beer, $10 martinis, great food deals. Not sure how I've gone this long withou

Not worth the money.
Its Hard to miss this place at the airport. My breakfast was cold, it took a long time to get seated, long time for food to be served.
Very unplesant manager giving us a nasty experience in front of our children.
Very unplesant manager giving us a nasty experience in front of our children. My family of 5 adults and 3 children aged 12, 8 and 5 spent almost 3 hours at this restaurant on the night of December 29, 2024 because our connecting flight was continuous
Awful food
Ordered ceasar salad. Absolutely the worst salad I have ever ate. Pre-made lettuce in a plastic tube. Dressing was thick and horrible taste. Unable to eat.
Way below expectations
Sandwich is very messy. "Spicy" wasn't very spicy. No decaf. Designed for carry away...service is an afterthought. Won't be back.
Comfortable seating and great menu choices for breakfast and lunch!
Comfortable restaurant - great, helpful staff. Wonderful menu - great options for breakfast and lunch. I had an amazing breakfast sandwich with scrambled egg and a thick slice of avocado, or a toasted brioche bun. It was so good - served hot. This
The most rude and stressful experience of my life. Donโt even bother.
I had the most stressful experience there and I really hope they see this review and change the way they treat their customers. First off they try to trick you into thinking thee path water left on the table is free. Thank god i asked itโs actually
Decent Food, Horrible Employee Treatment
Decent food, but one employeeโwho was acting like the MOD, kept berating and insulting the kitchen staff loudly and rudely. Her behavior cleared out the restaurant. No one wants to listen to that. If an employee needs direction, you donโt whine a
