If wine & saki have equal alcohol content how come a wine
If wine & saki have equal alcohol content how come a wine glass pour is a full glass vs glass of sake a shot size? This is a legitimate question. Happy hour is a scam & bartender wasn't very friendly.
Really enjoyed coming for happy hour.
Came in right around opening so we were able to be seated immediately. Friendly waiter. Happy hour is half off drinks and reduced pricing for some sushi and other apps. Ordered two sets of the salmon avocado roll, not notable but not bad. Shared chicken karage among three of us, I think we each got 1.5-2 pieces. Wanted to order the gyozas but they were unfortunately out so we got the chili dumplings instead- strangely watery but mostly liked it. Drinks were great, got the lychee mule and another one that had strawberry in it? Liked it so much we tried to come back the second night at a later hour but they were too busy! Overall solid soot, would definitely come back.
If you're going to charge insane prices for sushi, it
If you're going to charge insane prices for sushi, it better live up to what's being asked for. This was some of the worst sushi I've ever had. Salmon avocado rolls were tiny, salmon was basically flavorless rubber, nothing extra of special added, no flavor, barely any wasabi was given and the waiter forgot to put soy sauce on the table. I could've gotten better from a generic grocery store.

My favorite Sushi Garage location! Sushi was fresh and just so yummy. Feels very intimate and not obnoxiously loud like similar places on the beach. Service was excellent and personal. Easily one of the best, most varied and fun happy hour spots in Miami Beach.
We have not been here in over a year.
The service was terrible. The balding manager and the bar tender were extremely rude to us. We have gone to this location since they opened and the quality of the sushi has really gone down hill. Over priced sushi that is way too expensive. Miami Beach has much better sushi options .... stay away !!

I had a horrible experience eating dinner here Saturday night. The server was very rude. I asked questions about the food and what was available for vegetarians. He seemed really annoyed and said there are a lot of other places that have vegetarian food. He also said that he had other tables to serve and walked away. When the server returned he gave me answers for the wrong items. I spoke with the manager, who was nice. At some point the server said the sushi will be out soon when I had been waiting for vegetable tempura. I waited almost an hour for the vegetable tempura. The carrot and sweet potato were a bit hard. Most of what I ordered was not good. I had to ask multiple times before the water and tea were brought to the table. I waited about a half hour for the tea. When the bill came, I was overcharged for one of the items. Needless to say, I will not be going back. I should have believed the negative reviews on Yelp. Stay far away from Sushi Garage if you want good service and good food.

Ordered sushi delivery and it came without ANY soy sauce or wasabi. I tried calling the restaurant and they told me there was nothing they could do and hung up on me. When I tried to call back, they never answered again. On top of that the miso soup tasted like chemicals and the sushi was "meh"... even after I trudged out to buy some soy sauce myself. 1 out of 10 do not recommend.
Sushi garage used to be one of my favorite neighborhood
Sushi garage used to be one of my favorite neighborhood spots especially for their everyday happy hour, but I feel like the quality has gone down significantly over the years. During our most recent visit we got the rainbow roll and spicy salmon roll, neither of which had any fish on the inside, only on top and the fish quality was subpar. Our service was average, nothing note worthy. Overall good ambiance, a nice place to do a post work happy hour, but I wouldn't recommend if you're looking to splurge on a nice dinner or occasion.
Meh. On the upside I've definitely had worst. The downside
Meh. On the upside I've definitely had worst. The downside is that I paid $80+ for very average sushi. And that was during happy hour. If you want good sushi go to uchi.
I came on a Friday night for happy hour.
They have a happy hour with drinks and food. Outside of happy hour, their regular menu is very pricey. The interior is lovely. Our server was friendly. The food came out quickly. The bummer for me was the food. The best thing I tried was the hamachi serriole roll. That thing was poppin' with flavor. Everything else I tried ranged from just ok to bland. I'd probably give them another try because I do love happy hours that offer drinks and food, and the friends I went with raved about how much they love this place and come like once a week. Maybe I just ordered the wrong things?
No one takes the phone to order or make a reservation
Wanted to order but nobody takes the phone. I tried all the options and nothing Not sure how they are still in business If you offer a service just honor what you are promising Your website have a number to call but its annoying no one is answering TERRIBLE
Mmmm what to say and how to say it.
I will start by saying our waitress was very pleasant and nice. The food was okay, and pretty expensive but not impressive. I think a lot of cheaper, less showy restaurants do it 10 times better. I will say I love the venue and the layout and I loved the booths.
This restaurant is dishonest, a ripoff and should not be trusted
I was very disappointed with this restaurant because they clearly and intentionally ripped us off. I ordered a Coke with my dinner. I was served a glass that looked to be about 6 ounces that was half ice and half Coke. Virtually all restaurants give free refills of sodas, so after I quickly finished the little bit of Coke they served me, I ordered another Coke. I was served another glass that was half ice and half Coke. I was shocked to receive our bill in which I was charged $5.00 twice. It is bad enough to charge $5.00 for a glass of Coke because it costs the restaurant less than $1.00, but to serve a glass that is half ice and half Coke and to charge for a refill is nothing more than a rip off. And to top it off, our waiter told us after I complained to him that next time I should order a can of Coke that would also cost $5.00. Of course, a can of Coke is 12 ounces. I was not given that option to begin with. Now I know this restaurant is dishonest and intentionally rips off its customers. UI will never return to Sushi Garage in Cocowalk.

We had a part of 8 people (including a 4 year old child) and went to the Sushi Garage to celebrate a birthday. A member of our party asked the Sushi Chef: can you please cut these rolls smaller bites so my son can eat them, he is only 4 and has trouble with swallowing rolls this size, or give me a knife and i can do it myself. The Sushi Chef actually said, and this is a quote: "I don't have time for games, order something else or leave the restaurant." We would have left the restaurant but with a group of our size our options were limited so we stayed.... but we will NEVER go back there again... and unless you don't mind being treated this way, i suggest to anyone reading this to not to go there.
Go elsewhere in Coconut Grove
Small cup of soup inc 1 round pasta "dumpling" $8 Seaweed salad should be called sodium salad $8 "Korean" short ribs high on fat, short of any meat @$19! Go elsewhere!
Don't try it
Overpriced, small portions And a very rude bartender/server. Had a very bad attitude, treating other customers like gold, unacceptable. Treat all as as equals. This place needs to lighten up....it's not all about the money
Best Sushi, Great Vibe
Loved this place - we were told there was a short wait for a table but could grab drinks at the bar. Sat at the bar and were offered the option to eat there by the barman (Frank) so we could benefit from the happy hour pricing, so we did! Really helpful staff, great quality sushi that was generous on the fish front (no filler rice here). Restaurant was absolutely buzzing for a Wednesday night - great vibe and all round lovely experience, would recommend!
Restaurant was nice
The restaurant and atmosphere was great. The kalbi with onions and bean sprouts also great. Mentaiko noodles undercooked and flavor also lacking. I also suggest the bathroom kept cleaner

It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
