🙂 4/5 - I was frustrated by the sashimi options around Georgetown

I was frustrated by the sashimi options around Georgetown and unrealizable hours and decided to expand my search. I decided to give this place a try. I did takeout but was able to sneak a peek inside the restaurant. Parking was a bit of a challenge but the order was ready in twenty minutes as advertised. The signs outside advertised the Omakase multi course meal for $240 per person. Just inside the door is a bizarre hallway with a basic plain white ceiling and walls and a layer of stones on the floor with a few slate slabs as stepping stones almost like they closed in an old outdoor open entryway. To the immediate right as you walk/in is a small modest natural wood bar that only seats about 7 that has traditional shoji screen designs and is closed off with a maroon half curtain. There may be additional seating down the hall to the left. As far as the food, I selected 7 different fish, avoiding the more common tuna and salmon. This place definitely had a very broad selection of fresh fish. The menu indicated sushi so you have to put in a comment to get sashimi. I also ordered the seaweed salad which was good but a bit sweeter than I expected. It was basically seven pieces of fish, some were butterflied, but for $60 I guess I expected a bit more. The fish were on a small bed of shredded radish and carrot. There were a few fresh shiso leaves and some red radish slices. The wasabi was real and the ginger was very good (not the pink aspartame stuff you get in cheaper places). Only one small soy sauce packet was provided and you had to ask for chopsticks and a napkin when ordering. The verdict was mixed: the fish was absolutely top notch and the selection plentiful, however the lobby hallway and interior decor that I saw did not match the upscale $240 per person meal they emphasize. Restaurant decor is nowhere near the other high end sushi competitors, so I may not pay $240 per person to dine in. If I do order takeout again I will note that it is both pricey and fresh however I will have to adjust my expectations on portion size for sashimi. Suggest they hire a top notch interior decorator or architect so the decor would match the food and the price point.
