The name had been changed to ichiza.
Awesome fusion Japanese tapas. Yummy!! Chef koji kick ass Jerika, mamu and of course my one and only mizaki the main reason why I go there is her exceptional service. And the way she prepares my food when requested. Thank you so much!!
Be the first to ReplyGreat food and a super relaxed atmosphere.
Stoped by for a quick lunch a few weeks ago and tried the Sushi staircase, Orange lemon roll and Grand Canyon roll. The orange lemon roll was my favorite out of the three, with the Grand Canyon roll coming in second. The presentation for the sushi staircase was very cute but the pieces were a little too small. Was hoping to return and try more off their menu but the spot has now been taken over by Ichiza Tapas Bar.

I was picking up some food from Rincon de Buenos Aires this afternoon, and I think I have bad/sad news. It looks like Sushi Takashi is gone. Hoping maybe they're just rebranding, as they've been one of our favorites for years.

Pro-tip: You can use Google reservations to make a reservation. A lot of the menu pictures on Yelp are outdated - ie: they don't have the sushi nigiri staircase nor the double serving of nigiri sampler.Highlights: We really enjoyed our experience and thought the food was very delicious and well priced. The star of the show was definitely the yellowtail belly inside the Kaizen bowl, the thick cuts of sashimi in the small sashimi boat, the buttery salmon belly in the bites of heaven, the smoky flavor from the steak roll, and the tenderness and flavor of the grilled squid. The server was also very friendly and attentive and I was particularly impressed by the menu variety and descriptions as well as how quick the food came out.Lowlights: I was really looking forward to ordering the nigiri staircase as a surprise for my boyfriend and was disappointed they no longer have that and instead have a sashimi staircase that doesn't look as grand. Looking at the menu, a lot of the items like the signature nigiris and sushi rolls seemed like they would be heavy or overly sauced and I do prefer my sushi items to be a bit more pure.
Be the first to ReplyFood was very good.
Just wish they would serve everything we ordered together, and not one by one. Staff was very friendly n great. Loved the environment n decor
Be the first to ReplyNeeded to get our sushi fix on and Sushi Takashi won.
Food was ok. It didn't taste very fresh from some of the things we got. They have a HUGE menu. Something for everyone.

I love this place- add to the list of favorites: the orange lemon sushi roll and I love getting their chuhai. I've tried grapefruit and lemon and oolong. The citrus are still my favorite.

We've dined at the best sushi restaurants in Vegas over a dozen times. Catch and Nobu are great, but we find ourselves yearning to come back here (off the strip) every time we visit. We love the small quaint atmosphere and the attention to details the former Mirage sushi chef puts into every creation, not to mention the fish is super fresh!

We came here not knowing where to go because most places we know are booked. This place has a great menu, awesome fresh fish and yummy gobo fried plus all sorts of things. It's nice to have options in las Vegas
Be the first to ReplyPretty bad.
.I have to say.. I ordered Edomae sushi..nothing fancy, so you can really tell how good fish and sushi rice are. No fish impressed me. Ika was pretty bad..you can taste preservatives. Tuna was a cheap cut. Salmon was just ok. Egg can be much better at least... Rice wasn't impressive either...It's not bad, but I won't drive to go there...my nearby go-to sushi place is MUCH better at the similar price point. Used to be much better, so I went here to celebrate a special occasion..sad..

I stopped by this place after work since I pass by it all the time and never had a chance to try it, I was not very impressed with the quality of their fish and the service was a bit slow considering that they weren't very busy when I first walked in. The servers were both nice just not attentive enough. I ordered the sushi staircase and otoro sashimi. The otoro was a little too chewy for me and it still tasted kinda frozen, I guess my expectation was too high since I'm paying almost $25 for the quality and it just didn't meet my standard. The sushi staircase was not bad but nothing really wowed me. I think out of all the nigiris that came with it; sadly I liked the masago(Japanese egg) the most which was not even fish. The two half rolls that came with the staircase was by choice, you get to pick one standard roll and one signature roll, I picked the salmon avocado roll and the steak roll. I really liked the taste of the steak roll, they did a good job cooking and marinating the beef however the quality of the beef was just ok, it was again a bit chewy and there were parts of it that I couldn't even chew through. I think overall it was an ok experience and the staircase is reasonably priced, not their otoro though. I think if I do come back here again, I might try some of their hot dishes, hopefully by then I can update my review to a 4 or 5 stars as I really want to like this place.

In A Nutshell:-Wow, Sushi Takashi is definitely a really good Japanese sushi restaurant.-It's located in the heart of Chinatown off of Spring Mountain Rd.-I really liked the ambiance inside of the restaurant as it feels very cozy w/ private spaces like you'd find in Japan.-The menu is HUGE!-There's lots of pages filled w/ highly detailed information of all of their food, beverages & even little challenges (like their hidden wasabi rolls) & tips (like their how to properly use chopsticks etiquette).-The Salmon Skin Salad is something you should start off with b/c the flavors are amazing!-Their most famous dish is the Sushi Stairway (as seen in the photos below).-You get one piece of all the classic nigiri & each one tastes very fresh.-I also really like their own brewed soy sauce which is available on the table.Overall, this is one of my favorite sushi restaurants in Las Vegas.
Be the first to ReplyFast friendly service.
Loved the tuna nigiri most and the eel would be a close second. The house salad with peanut dressing is crisp and refreshing. Also really like the tempura leaves. Will definitely be coming back.

Firstly, I love this place and you can see my previous reviews but I feel like the past two times has been definitely below their normal... service?? Not sure if it's because of the pandemic but it's definitely not been the same. The first time I was disappointed was a few months back and I didn't write a review because I thought it might've been a one off due to the pandemic and things getting back to normal. The service was horribly slow and we were seated in the cute booths. We weren't able to waive down a server or even have servers to come by and help us. We felt invisible and the food took 30 mins to come out without anyone telling us it's going to be awhile or what we ordered would've taken longer. The restaurant wasn't even full at all. I was highly disappointed but wanted to give them another try before writing another review. The last time happened 2 days ago. We went and were seated right away. Again the restaurant wasn't busy so I thought this would be great service like before. The server came quickly and got our ordered. I had my child who was starving so I ordered an udon and shisho tempura for her first while the rest of us were trying to figure out what we wanted. The server came back quickly to check and take the rest of the order. The udon came out shortly so it was a great start.... Then it went downhill from there. We ordered two bento boxes, a mixed tempera, one sushi roll and a hand roll. I was disappointed because they told us after that they were out of uni and oysters. I really wanted uni and that's what I went there for specifically....Well then it took another 15 mins for roll and hand roll to arrive. Shortly after the two bento boxes and the mixed tempura..... we waited another 10 mins and no shisho tempura... yup that's at least 30-45mjn wait. I asked a server to check on it for me... he never came back to tell me the status ... 10 mins later I had to waive down ANOTHER server to check on it... same thing... no response back.. another 10 mins the shisho tempura finally arrives ... that's over an HOUR for the tempura, the table basically finished their meal before it arrived. My child was crying because she didn't have them and when they arrived it was piping hot (so they basically forgot our order and no one even apologized, just acted like nothing was wrong) I was really upset and my child was too. I don't believe I will be going back anymore. I'm really sad because I love this place and we were a regular and they knew my husband's name. I loved it but I don't think I can keep going back with horrible service. Absolutely disappointed.
Be the first to ReplyLocated in Chinatown on West Spring Mountain rd.
This is a tapas style eatery. Thankss to Craig T. and his friend Gino we ha an enjoyable evening. One dish of note was the Avocado Treasure Chest. Seafood topped with a generous portion of avocado.See pics. Stay safe.
Be the first to ReplyNormally ย I go to Osakas for Japanese food in Las Vegas.
My friend from Honolulu was up there the same time as me so we made plans to check out his recommendation for Japanese. ย ย Located in Chinatown town in Vegas on Spring Mountain Rd. This establishment is called Sushi Takashi Izakaya style. So I ordered lots of small pupu size portions. It was all delicious unordered Fried Oyster which was very good also cream Croquettes, Siu Mai, Gyoza, and sushi. My sister ordered their Salmon and Ikura bowl. She said the Salmon was very fresh also the Ikura. ย I recommend this place very convenient location lots of parking and friendly staff.

I've been here couple times and today I decided to do a take out. ย Service was extremely horrible and that's why I had to give it a one star. No welcome when we attended, two ladies ignored me so I had to ask for help. They said they can't offer me a chair to sit down and look at the menu. So I stand there to check the menu out. I placed a $160 order with 15 items. They said it will take about 20mins to finish the order. 30mins later, food were not ready. I checked with them, instead of an apology, they gave me an attitude and said another 3 more minutes. 50mins later, food were still not ready. I finally got my food an hour later. ย Went home and realized they didn't even give me soy sauce. A service like this only deserves one star.
Be the first to ReplyI don't like sushi but my friends do.
We chose those place because of the extensive menu and I'm so glad we did. I chose the chicken teriyaki bento and it was delicious. My girl got the sushi staircase and was delighted with the freshness and variety. The server gave great recommendations as well. My other friend was super happy she chose death note and ate every bite. The whole place had a wonderful ambiance and super private booths, we loved the coziness. Will definitely return!

This place has gone downhill in quality, fish, service and ambiance. ย Not sure why a sushi place with this decor is blasting hip hop with sexuality suggestive lyrics but whatever. Does not go with the decor the ambience most would want for sushi but whatever. ย Last time I came, the fish quality was not good and the service horrible. One of the waitress/hostess with tattoos was cussing in ear shot of children. I really like the place so figure it may be a one time thing. This time was worse. Upon entering not even a smile or welcome from the hostess. I believe the same woman with tattoos and absolutely 0 emotion. After being seated we ordered drinks. My hot sake was served Luke warm. The coke never came and had to be requested again later. Not one recommendation from the menu. When asked could not even tell the specials. Just a quick "there are none today" The energy was dark. The look on her face seemed to be bothered we were even there. I have no doubt this has pushed away other customers than us. The prices here are right along side some of the more upscale sushi places in China Town, so one expects a better treatment and knowledge of the fish. When we asked for the scallop sashimi we asked to have the chef prepare it with a yuzu dressing so it did not come out plain. It was served plain with a bowl of yuzu paste on the side. The rolls were decent along with the yellow tail belly, chutoro and otoro nigiri. ย My major complaint was the chefs choice carpaccio trio. Gross. The pieces were more like the chunks you throw away when cutting up the fish. Uneven, full of striations and several pieces with barely any meat on chucks of skin. I don't really know what kind of sushi chef would put his pride aside and serve something like that. Especially to the party that is ordering basically nothing but premium nigiri and sashimi. They most likely know better. Save that for the deep fried California roll with cream cheese party. Not sure if management changed but something is happening. I heard the main chef here used to work at an upscale place on the strip ....

Best sushi spot in town! They have a huge menu full of variety of appetizers & sushi. We got he sushi staircase & steak roll loved it! They have heir own soy sauce & that's he best! I hate soy sauce personally so their version was way better! For dessert we shared a strawberry shaved ice with cream & loved it! Besides the food being amazing & great quality the prices match! Usually high end sushi spots like this are way overpriced but not them. My only complaint about the place is it's understaffed! But that's life right now lol we had to hunt down our waitress a couple of times it was annoying. 1 waitress for the entire restaurant!
