Taverna Mercatto Toronto Reviews
This place sucks!!! Terrible customer service.
This waiter attempted to tell me how to order and was very rude and inattentive. Big waist of time and over priced wanna be Italian food. 1/10
Great, great, great!
My husband and I love this place. Last year when we stayed in Toronto we had their pizza. This time we each chose a pasta dish. Everything was fabulous - the food, the service and the atmosphere. If we lived closer, we would be regulars!
Excellent service & excellent food!
We picked this restaurant for the location as it was just a few minutes walk from the CN Tower. What a perfect choice! It has a beautiful street frontage and as we approached we noticed the happy hubbub of diners chatting. We were seated at a beautif
Excellent eatery in a busy part of town
Excellent well cooked food, can recommend their burrata, arancini and the affogato was lovely way to end a meal. Servers too really good care of us especially as there was a squall watch and we were moved indoors to escape the rain. An excellent wine
Good enough
Taverna Mercatto was conveniently located near our hotel which made it an easy choice. They do NOT have a kids menu, but we figured most places are typically accommodating to kids. They were mostly accommodating but if you are looking for a specific
Amazing Italian restaurant
Booked in advance and we were guided through the menu and wine list by our waitress Jessica who did a great job. The food was fantastic, the restaurant has a lovely vibe and would definitely recommend a visit!
Perfect pasta
We ate here during our stay in Toronto, just down the street from our hotel. Service & staff were good & food was excellent. I had carbonara with gluten free pasta, it was one of the best g/f meals I’ve had. My partner had the lasagne which
It’s all about the tip
Decided to eat here as was very convenient for our hotel. Initial welcome was very pleasant as was the conversation and advice from our server. A lot of common ground as she was from one of my favourite destinations, Greece, and had spent some time i

I stopped here walking down the street so had no expectations. It was playoff night for the maple leafs so crazy busy but I got a seat at the bar. I had the Insalata Verde. It was good but very salty. Light though. I had asked the bartender her
Service was excellent, music was great (80's classic).
Food was tasty and an all round lovely eating experience.
Over priced average tasting food.
Service and Ambiance were ok. Their red pepper and tomatoes pizza needs some cheese! Kalamari was too chewy.
Amazing restaurant.
The food was so amazing. It had a delicious taste. We had super great service too our server would joke with us, super friendly environment. The place itself is super pretty!
It's a long flight to Italy.
So come here instead. Located next to the Stadium and Ripley's Aquarium, Taverna Mercatto is easy to get to and is walkable from the Harbourfront Center. They have some kids options like pasta and pizza. The kids pasta was generous, very fast (

Centrally located and walking distance from union station. Service is top class . Elaborate wine menu. Food was authentic. We liked the pizzas and pasta. You will lot get disappointed. Reservations recommended
Great Vibes and Good Food
The appetizers here were awesome, and the service and vibes were great. The gnocchi was pillowy soft, and the pizza was pretty good--not the most flavorful in the world, but still tasty!
Food was average, service was good.
Only perks is it is near Scotiabank centre and quick to a bite in before a show. Reserve in advance as it gets busy on days with events

My boyfriend and I went here for date night and we had a great time. The service was absolutely amazing - friendly, attentive, and knowledgable - and the food was deliciously fresh. I loved the Pollo Alla Diavola and would absolutely order it again.

The ambiance is nice, and it's close to the scotiabank arena. Wouldn't recommend the Panfried lasagna, the edges became stale and chewy after the pan fry, and overall it didn't taste that great. Mushroom pizza was good, the wildboar pi
Food was amazing but service was poor.
Our host wasn't very friendly and it took long time to place our order.
