Tavolino Bar & Kitchen London Reviews from The Last Year
Great Pizza with a Phenomenal View!
I ate here for dinner one evening after working up an appetite walking across the Tower Bridge. The complimentary bread with olive oil and margherita pizza were excellent, but the view from this restaurant was simply unbeatable! I was seated toward the front of the restaurant, practically beside the bridge, and it was truly the best view I've ever had from a restaurant! As such, it is located within a strip of restaurants and shops that are just off to the side of where pedestrians cross the bridge. Service was decent and the food was very reasonably priced. 10/10 dining experience!
Omg the pasta!!
Situated directly opposite the Tower of London with panoramic views of several iconic sites. The restaurant itself was surprisingly big and lovely inside. As we were a very large group, we were sat upstairs and had a special selected 4-course menu that was served family style. First we have focaccia bread with tomatoes and olives. Salami misti which was as expected. Burrata with celery salad, for me this was spoiled by the raisins (never liked them). Garlic bread - only ok Then had 3 types of pasta: - pork tagliatelle - orchiette with tomatoes - cacio e pepe Omg, the pasta delivered on so many levels, it was beautiful, I can still taste it. Chicken milanese and rocket was nice. I love my puds but found the Burnt butter panna cotta with toffee sauce and Hazelnut chocolate pudding only ok. Service was great, given our numbers the staff did a great job ensuring our glasses were topped up and that food was conveniently placed.
Average food, nice view
Views from this restaurant are lovely. The food is very average - we shared a few pasta dishes and some starters. They were quite nice but wouldn't rush back.
Wives birthday meal
Waited 20 mins for service which never came. Awful service. Walked out. Lovely view of tower Bridge. Plenty of staff. Just ignored
The View and the service A+
What a good experience we had in Tavolini. Our waiter Siraj was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. This is the second time we visit. The whole staff made us feel welcome and the view is simply spectacular. We payed 85.5 pounds for 2 pizzas, arancinis and chips, 3 beers and one glass of wine. Good price for London and the food was nice. We will happily come back. Thank you Siraj.
Don't get taken in by the view, quality and price of food is shocking.
To start with, we had a lovely table with a view of Tower Bridge. That's where the positives end. In no particular order, the steak was like shoe leather and at £38, was a real lowlight. The Pizzette(nduja) and indeed Pizza(Margarita) were bland-there was no oregano and Basil just a tomato base with cheese, which btw, had the smallest amount of cheese it was embarrassing. I ordered 3 (red) bottles of wine, all out of stock-that's out of 13 wines available so pretty poor. btw, no vintages on the menu is also poor. I know restaurants run out of stock but regardless, you know the wine you are buying so you could easily add that to the menu and if you run out, advise the staff to advise the customer. My pasta with prawns was OK but in truth, oily. The (3) Arancini balls were again, bland. I couldn't really taste the rice and the truffle was missing. The parmasan foam was tasteless. At over £3 a pop, it's poor value. My Wife asked for another knife that would cut the pizza as the one offered, was blunt. The waiter said there were none (?) but managed to get get a cutter from the kitchen, which he hovered over us to ensure he could then return it to promptly to the kitchen. The waiter was good although with 6 months experience, it's difficult for him to provide the sort of service you really want when you're paying these prices. To be fair, once The Manager came over after I requested the Steak be taken off the bill, it was done without fuss (although no apology). All in all, this was my first and last time here just looking at the reviews on TA, you can see a running theme around poor quality food, quantity and high prices/poor value for money. These things haven't changed and until they make a real effort to take note of these points and implement improvements, there's no reason to spend good money at this place The review responses from the restaurant match the food, bland and meaningless. Action, not words, are whats required...
Bad
Food was terrible , definitely not fresh. Servings were small and drinks were also small, even the coffees were very small
Delicious plant-based options
Lovely location for alfresco dining if the weather is lovely. The food was delicious, drinks were delicious too. The view of the river and Tower bridge make it lovely location. Staff were lovely but service a bit slow as it got busier.
Tasty Tavolino
My friend and I went to Tavolino for the first time tonight and we really enjoyed it! I had the slow cooked beef ragu, my friend had the spicy ‘nduja and burrata pizza, and we shared a tomato focaccia with olive oil for our starter. It was a delicious dinner. The peach Bellini was quite strong, but a lovely flavour 🍹 Tavolino is in a brilliant location with lovely views of the river and is conveniently close to London Bridge station. The seats were comfortable and all of the staff were very friendly and attentive. Thanks Tavolino!
Hush.. not to spoile!!
I loveTavolino ! Have been going for years and it is our family favourite. Nerea and Marc have really made it a proper ‘go to’ local - delicious food and great wine list. Witout talking about the view from the restaurant.. breath taking !! It’s tough in the current climate and they continue to do an exemplary job - from to manger to all team members .. merci . Could not recommend it more highly :)
Disappointing service
My first visit was with my son for a Mother's Day Lunch which was very good. Second visit disappointing. Mid-afternoon so not too busy but had to wait whilst 3 servers, standing about 10 feet away, had a conversation before one came to take our order. When it arrived mine was incorrect and was returned. Waited around 15 minutes for a replacement, having chased it up with another server. Food is good but pricey for the size of the portions. This is the first time in a long time that I have asked for the service charge to be taken off.
Post show meal
We booked for an early Saturday meal after going to see Guys and Dolls. The restaurant is very close to the theatre with excellent views of the river and Tower Bridge. We turned up half an hour early which didn’t cause a problem and were taken through to our table, We ordered some focaccia as starter and then beef shin ragu and vegetable lasagne, Service was very friendly, attentive and prompt and the food was pretty good. We enjoyed our meal and time with you.
Tavolino - Breathtaking Views, Exquisite Dining, and Unforgettable Experience
Tavolino, located near Tower Bridge, truly lives up to its reputation for offering the best views in London. The restaurant might be a bit challenging to locate, but trust me, the effort is well worth it. The panoramic vistas of the city and the iconic Tower Bridge are simply stunning. Apart from the captivating views, Tavolino impressed us with its excellent service, creative drinks, and delightful Italian cuisine. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring we had a memorable dining experience. For appetizers, we ordered zucchini, fries, and squid, accompanied by two exquisite gin-based cocktails recommended by our server. Tthe entrées were just as good as the tasty starters and drinks. Will e thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Tavolino undoubtedly ranks among our top three favorite restaurants in London, alongside Quilon and Clos Maggiore. Don't miss the opportunity to visit this exceptional Italian restaurant, where the exquisite dining experience is matched only by the awe-inspiring views. See photos below
Incredibly expensive for something I could have made at home - but better.
Lovely ambiance and atmosphere. Cocktails were delicious. Enjoyed my pasta dish but sadly was under-seasoned. Asked for a salt and pepper grinder (none were already on the table which I thought was odd) however I ended up having to ask again for the grinders as they took a while to come. We ordered a garlic bread to share on our table of 4 but the size of the garlic bread would have been ideal for one person to have accompanying their main meal - for the price, that's quite disappointing. Overall portion size was quite small for the price which again was disappointing because you'd expect more food for the higher price point of their menu. Same goes for the dessert. I ordered a cheesecake and effectively got crusted up biscuit in the bottom of a cocktail glass with some cheesecake topping plopped on the top. Shame as the taste was alright, it was just so expensive for the miniscule portion amount.
Splendid view but don't stop there to eat
We had a vegetarian lasagna dish. They were tasteless and overcooked. Not even gratinated. The orrecchiette dish with tomato sauce was insufficient and just cooked. Certainly the view of Tower Bridge is magnificent but otherwise move on. The staff very friendly and sorry for us.
lovely lunch great view
Even as a last minute decision to eat here on my own I was given a great table with a wonderful view. Really enjoyed a new dish I tried , the monkfish carpaccio starter which is a bit different but great and very refreshing . Nice to see pacheri on the menu not with the usual sauce but again really really good. The white mandrassi wine is good value and can never eat here without having the deep fried courgette (zuchini fritti) as a side Allthe team that looked after were brilliant but special mention to Tasrin who made sue I was well looked after and so cheerful with it as well as so professional,What an asset to Tavolino she is .Many thanks Tavolino.lovely
Perfect pizza and a great view for the price!
We had not ordered, but were welcomed by pleasant waiters. We received good help in the ordering process and everything went painlessly. Most of us ordered pizza, very good one. One of the best the undersigned has eaten, went for a vegetarian. Fair prices and an absolutely fantastic view of Tower Bridge and London by night. Recommended!
Fantastic venue
Chose the restaurant as it was close to our hotel and I’m really glad that we did. Birthday meal and I’d requested a window table which was arranged, along with a happy birthday desert. View absolutely fantastic and food very good. Red prawn tagliatelle highly recommend

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Can come from a lot of places, people who don't want to get charged their cancellation fee or people who just have them and cant go.

almost all restaurants aren't affiliated with AT and I'm guessing it's mostly people wanting to not pay cancellation fees.

Reservations could be posted for a variety of reasons. Most likely, the person who secured the reservation can no longer attend - to avoid accruing a "no show" fee, they can find someone to take their place.
