Thames is a must try!!!!! I had dinner there last night, and it was amazing. They were very busy with a wait list, but a spot opened at the bar right when I got there. The service was excellent. They were out of the oysters I wanted, but the bar tender gave an excellent recommendation. They were very fresh and delicious. I also ordered the seafood salad...amazing!!!! It was a large portion of various chopped seafood with a very flavorful dressing. I'd kinda like to go back today and order the same thing. Lol! It was a perfect dining experience!

Thames Street Oyster House has a great location facing the harbor. It is a good location to meet up with friends and family. This places has good vibes. The staff are very welcoming and helpful with the menu. We also had a wonderful hostess named Jenna who made the visit special. We had the fried calamari, the crab cakes, and the Dulce de leche bread pudding. So delicious. The seasoning for the calamari was perfect. The crab cakes were made with lots of crab without fillers. The bread pudding was a taste of heaven. I completely recommend eating here. I also look forward to going back when I visit Baltimore again.

What a great place for shellfish and shelter.
I need 85 characters so I'm just gonna take this minute to see if anyone has played raid shadow legends.
If I could give this restaurant 10 stars I would.
Wonderful staff wonderful food. The Oysters are AMAZING. They recommended the lobster roll this definitely has to be the best I've ever had! Wonderful atmosphere. They were very accommodating. Would HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
We had an excellent meal at Thames Street.
We sat on the 2nd level and ended up with the harbor view right by our window which was perfect for our vacation. We started with the shrimp cocktail. These were massive and sweet. They gave us all the sauces including horseradish, cocktail, green hot sauce, & horseradish cream. I had the lobster roll which was heavenly and they gave me a side of butter. The bread itself was a perfect texture and I highly recommend it if you enjoy lobster. My husband had the hake which he throughly enjoyed. We also got the grilled zucchini side with tzatziki which was massive. Our server was excellent. Helpful but not intrusive.

We wanted some amazing seafood in Baltimore and we chose well! We made reservations to ensure we had a table; it was a smart decision. Once they open people come in droves and every table is taken. We were seated upstairs next to a window. The building is beautiful, first built in 1874. Our view was the harbor, it made for an amazing experience. We were greeted immediately and offered drinks. We were then given a monstrous list of oysters, clams and seafood as well as the menu. We had trouble deciding where to start so we opted for the Grandiose Seafood Tower. I can confirm it is indeed grandiose! I've never had fresher oysters and clams! They provide a huge selection of sauces and condiments to eat the seafood with. For our main course we had the Lobster roll and the Crab cake. The Crab Cake was served in a cast-iron skillet with zucchini. It also comes with a jar of potato salad. The Crab cake was massive and delicious. It was more crab than cake! I've regularly visited Maine and the Lobster roll here gives Maine a run for its money. A toasted split top bun, overflowing with huge chunks of lobster. It's accompanied with a delicious cucumber salad. Everything was great, but we were tempted by desert. We ordered a Strawberry Cobbler and also a Rhubarb Creme Brulee. The Cobbler came straight out of the over. Grandmothers don't bake anything this well! It was delicious, light and creamy the whole way through. The Creme Brulee might have made me warm up to Rhubarb! I've never been a fan, but it works here! This place is amazing, it's in a beautiful area and the seafood is as fresh as it gets!
Freaking Amazing!! I was traveling and a colleague
Freaking Amazing!! I was traveling and a colleague recommended Thames. The server was fully engaged in ensuring I had a great experience. Excellent Old Fashion to drink. It's a great place reinforcing the harbor environment. I'll be going back and in the meantime I encourage anyone not sure where to go for dinner THIS IS THE PLACE!!
Nice place for oyster lover, and one of the best crab cakes
Nice place for oyster lover, and one of the best crab cakes I have ever had. Visited in mid Jan and they have a great selection of oysters. My friend enjoyed the different flavor profile of oysters. Clams are great option for people less into oyster. Also ordered the crispy point Judith Calamari, New England lobster roll, and cast iron crab cake. My favorite about these dishes is the crab cake, it was nicely seared which added the great texture and crunch, but it is juicy and meaty inside. At the time I had it, it was served with potato and sweet potato puree on the side. Decently big portion. The sauce is rich and creamy with some tagines which pairs well with the crab cake. The Lobster roll is alright, the but is very buttery which can get a be heavy, the lobster roll is served warm, the lobster meat is simple but good quality. It was served with fires sprinkled with old bay. The crispy point Judith Calamari was a bit disappointing; it was nice that it is seasoned with minced pepper which added some heat. However, this dish is very heavy and oily, especially when oil collect at the bottom of the plate.

I had one night in Baltimore for work and ended up here due to the reviews. An absolute gem! Highly recommend for food, ambiance, and experience. Great service, tasty food, awesome experience in downtown Baltimore. A must try if you're in the area.
Saturday - late afternoon.
This place delivered on every level. Service was amazing. Menu & specials knowledge was top notch from our server. She timed everything perfectly, checked in smartly & made great suggestions. Food was just amazing & fresh. Specials were off the charts & oysters too. Would return to Baltimore just for this! Music next door is a must after dinner...
A not to be missed dinner destination.
Nothing fancy but wait until you taste the food! Chilled Oysters served with fresh cocktail sauce, mignonette dip and a spicy green sauce just melted on the tongue. My Lobster Roll was filled with tender buttery chunks on a roll that tasted like a croissant. It was Meaty Monday and the Lamb Steak special put my husband in heaven. We brought home a Dulce de Leche Bread Pudding with Caramel Sauce. Just as sweet was Claudia our server.

Thursday 3/14/2024 I went back 2 back years for my birthdays but is this spot still a 5/5? Yes, BUT some things have changed that I want to mention AND the first experience can never be topped. The service is still great and on point. The food is still really good but nearly everything has gotten a price increase (except for the crab cake) when compared to last years visit. The lobster roll went up $5, the burger went up $2, and the bread pudding went up $2. Now let's talk about the food. - New England lobster roll * This is still the best lobster roll I've had. - Cast iron crab cake * this dish is still great plus the asparagus & sweet potatoes are ALWAYS a great addition. - Thames street burger * the only downgrade is the burger, it's still good but I can't say it's one of the best burgers I've had anymore. * also the fries were decent but not as good as last year - Dulce de leche bread pudding * the bread pudding was very good and it was even better than the first time I had it last year. In short, this is still a GREAT restaurant that I might have to revisit AGAIN for next years birthday.

I went to Thames Street Oyster House for a quick bite and they did not disappoint! The lobster roll was amazing! It was nice and buttery and had a good amount of lobster meat.
Best lobster roll I've ever had.
Good service, and superb calamari. I take people here to impress them, and to get a great meal myself. An eating place, and crowded with people who know good food.

Thame Street Oyster House is a staple in Fells Point.
Right across the Pendry Hotel and on the cobble streets on Thames Street. This was the very very first restaurant I ate at when I moved here in 2018, and their lobster rolls are the best I've ever had. My friends who have had more lobster rolls than me and hail from Maine agree. They are warm and buttery and their fries are crack. Their housemade ketchup is fabulous, and I'm usually very happy with Heinz. Thames is always a place I recommend and take out of town guests to. Their reservations are always taken, but when the weather is nice it's easier to get in as they have a cutie courtyard. The bar seating also has a separate waitlist. I've sat more at the bar than the upstairs. I've been here probably more times than I can count. Amazing selection of oysters as their namesake -- you do have to ask for the accompaniments you want with your oysters. They also have a great wine list. Thames used to do take out during the pandemic, and sometimes they will do it if they're not swamped. I love that they have pickled herring here, so try that if you're a fan from the raw bar. I always learn something new about food when I come here. If I ever have to leave Baltimore, it will likely be my last meal here, and it was my very first. A special solid place in the city. Parking is a nightmare here -- I would try to park in Caroline Garage and do the short walk, or just uber. I am lucky to be able to walk here.
Not as good as it once was.
You'd think a Baltimore restaurant of this caliber would have good crab cakes. I admit to being a crab snob, but they were not good - too much filler, hardly any lump. The grilled asparagus that accompanied dinner was mushy and over-cooked. Fries were good. There's not a huge menu selection but wish I'd stuck with shrimp cocktail and an appetizer. Service was excellent. LOUD noise level even mid week. Hard to converse.
Great Local Joint
Great local "Joint". Had seafood salad and also Scallops entree which were excellent. Can't go wrong here. Also good music joint next store.
Cast Iron Crab Cake is amazing!
Great location, food and service. I arrived closer to closing time so my expectations were a little low - however, the entire staff were extremely cordial, helpful and welcoming. The oysters and cast iron crab cake were amazing. The sides could use a little help, but nothing crazy. I would highly recommend this restaurant if visiting the Inner Harbor.
Fun place with great food
Came in for a late lunch. Chose some shrimp cocktail, raw oysters, and the Maryland crab cake. Also had a side of french fries.Everything was superb! Best crab cake of my life. Located in a great walking neighborhood. Fun place with great food!
Absolutely Amazing!
We absolutely loved our meal here. There was nothing left on our plates. Started with oysters and the octopus and then got the lobster main, lobster roll, monk fish and arctic char. No room for dessert. We eat out a lot and this was one of the best meals we had in a long time. Ruth was our server and was fantastic too. Not a cheap meal but worth every penny.
Fantastic must try place.
Stopped by to see if we could get In as no reservations were available online. They accommodated us right away. Had a variety of delicious oysters from all over, a lobster stew soup that was out of this world, and incredible dinners. Casey was our server and was awesome. Always checking in on us, but not bothering us. He was the best. Definitely would go back anytime we are in the area.
INCREDIBLE!
This is the place I fell in LOVE with oysters! I'd tried oysters before, and they were not my favorite. Until I visited Thames Street Oyster House. Incredible atmosphere, incredible service, and the oysters were delicious! I especially loved their Old Bay cocktail sauce, I will forever be trying to recreate that sauce. My boyfriend and I loved it so much, we went twice during our 4 day stay. If I could give it more than five stars, I would!
Anniversary date. My new fav spot
Great fried oysters and ceviche. Kind server. Expresso drink was delicious. Fish and chips were also tasty. We found this little gem in July and have returned several times in the next 30days.
Fantastic
Great restaurant near the harbour. Fantastic raw bar and lobster roll. Good portion size and friendly staff. Wish it was open for lunch too.
