The Guest House feels like New York decided to crash
The Guest House feels like New York decided to crash Austin's party. I got Manhattan when I walked in. Its vibe is glamorous and dripping in chandelier sparkle. This was my night cap! I came for drinks and fries! Simple enough but they gave me a

Treated my boyfriend to a birthday dinner at The Guest House. The highlights: perfect service by Fabian (attentive but not overbearing) Scallop crudo, Bluefin tuna cones with caviar and a unique apple/cheddar/truffle oil salad (very tasty) Parmesan
The service was great.
Their espresso martini is one of my favorites in Austin. Went for restaurant week and I was a little disappointed. Had the chicken and thought while eating it that it was fatty. It's very dark inside and hard to see but turns out it was most lik

Parking: Let's just say.
.. parking here is an experience. I ended up doing valet across the street for $15, and honestly? Worth it. My friend tried her luck with street parking--$20 for two hours. Not the move. There's not much parking around unless you find a hidden g
I have never written a bad review, fyi.
We arrived 16 minutes late, I called to share we would be late & the hostess told us to speed up or we would not be accommodated. I arrived on the 15 minutes mark @6:00, my hubby was @valet. Because he wasn't standing with me, they refused t
Service was great.
Food was just ok. We got the Mac and cheese which was watery. The salmon was good but sauce was watery. Snapper was amazing! Bread was bomb! Parmesan fries were fire! Just not exceptional.
Can’t wait to return
My experience at The Guest House in Austin was nothing short of phenomenal from start to finish. The moment we walked in, the warm ambiance set the tone for a memorable evening. The server staff was outstanding—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuine

I went back and forth between 3 and 4, but ended up falling down to three. Ordered the Ceviche, Truffle Fries, and Salmon. All three were decent but nothing about any of truly stood out. The fries needed some type of seasoning, and the ceviche meat

Wow this place is an experience! Perfect for a birthday dinner or any celebration. Inside is dark and vibey with some fun music. Fancy club vibes. For drinks, the Tulgey woods is very fun and the margarita in the little jars was strong and tasty. The

$1 for an ice cube? Really?
OK the restaurant is chic and beautiful. Appearances may be deceiving however. I ordered the chicken dish, and specifically asked the server if it had onions (I have an allergy). She said that it didn't so all good. However it arrived and it
Delicious
Our DIL recommended this place, and we were concerned after reading varied reviews. Great food/menu! Music a bit loud, but okay. Great service as well. We would highly recommend this restaurant!
A great meal at The Guest House in downtown Austin
We came as 2 couples in our 60’s and definitely felt underdressed. The vibe here supports short dresses and high heels on the women and a younger crowd. Saying that, the meal was delicious and the waitress outstanding. We sat in a little cove in
Decent high dining option in Downtown Austin
The ambience and location of the restaurant are solid and the appetizers I think are worthwhile that if you are looking for a decent option in the center of Austin downtown, it is worth considering this place and the drinks looked great despite me no
Great food, slow service, loud music a little overpriced
If you want to put on your finest to make your TikTok videos with the leather clad servers, this is your place! The food is really great here. The brioche bread as a starter was fantastic and we followed it with a beet salad, which was very creati
Food is great. Atmosphere is horrible. Just turn that music off!
The food was very good. However, I cannot agree with the people that state this place has great ambience. I don’t believe they know what ambience means. The music here is oppressively loud, so loud in fact that I couldn’t even hear the waiter who
Didn’t live up to the hype
First time here, and not sure we’ll be back. First the pros: excellent service—albeit all the servers are scantily clad in black, if that’s your thing—like a classy Hooters. Their brioche bread service was outstanding. Might go back just f
An Austin Must!
The food here is absolutely delicious!! The best bread I’ve ever had and I’m not even a big bread person. Loved the atmosphere too. A must when in Austin.
I will go over and over again
What a treat! I feel like Austin is being inundated with over priced, over hyped restaurants catering to wealthy tourists or businesses and I was worried this was going to be just another one. I was wrong. This place exceeded all expectations. From t
Perfect date night
Went here on a date and it was an amazing pick. The bread was out of this world, and complementary as an app. We ordered the spicy rigatoni, chicken a la raj, and the mushroom pizza. All incredible picks! Their cocktails are all Alice in Wonderland t
Austin Newbie - The Guest House
Having gone to dinner at The Guest House several times, it's always so good. Last I went, we had the steak tartare and it was absolutely little bites of heaven. We could have ordered many more of those. They also offer caviar, oysters, crudo and lobs

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to The Guest House Austin at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the The Guest House Austin page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.

1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* FluffyStar64, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's $200 bid.
* FluffyStar64 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to FluffyStar64 for any questions Peter may have as FluffyStar64 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* FluffyStar64 now uses their connections at The Guest House Austin to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If FluffyStar64 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, FluffyStar64 receives the $200 reward which is credited to FluffyStar64's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at The Guest House Austin!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
