5-star view, 3-star food and service.
I came for brunch with a small group of friends on a Sunday afternoon, and it was pretty busy. You definitely need a reservation made in advance on the weekend. It took a bit of time for our server to come over, and for the food to come out, but it was fine because we weren't in any rush. The view is beautiful. The restaurant is located right on the water and you get the bay breeze. The food was OK. I had the omelet with breakfast potatoes, it tasted like it could be served at any hotel breakfast buffet. My friend ordered the locks plate and wasn't thrilled with the quality of the bagel. For such an elevated atmosphere, the food could certainly be taken up a notch.

Best patio in Miami, right in the middle of the bay and views and ambiance are amazing. Enjoy dinner and drinks here but especially breakfast too - omelette is delicious. Carly and her team are great and awesome place to meet friends and take guests from out of town.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food and great service.
Definitely recommend the Chicken Milanese. Would skip the burger for something else next time. The views of the water were great as well.
Be the first to ReplyBreakfast is ok.
..definitely not worth the price though. Staff was friendly. If you're fine with ok breakfast with a great view then I recommend. I got an omelet that didn't taste great with a toasted bagel. Bagel was awful. My gf got French toast that she said was ok too. Portion could have been bigger.

Enjoyed my lovely lunch here on a break from a bike ride across Venetian causeway. Had no issues chaining my bike up in front adjacent to valet on the provided bike racks, walked straight through to the courtyard and enjoyed the beautiful garden before making my way to the pool deck area and Lido restaurant, where staff in minimalist and spa-like outfits, all khaki and white, soft cottons and linens, were waiting to assist us. We had no reservation and requested a table for two in the shade, as it was a cool, but sunny day. They were quickly able to accommodate that, and even took the care to set the table up with both chairs on the same side facing the water, a little touch that adds a nice detail. Our server was very nice, he wasn't particularly outgoing and didn't make any recommendations, but was everything we needed. we tried a couple different juices, the Verde and the pinup, the Verde was definitely a healthy tasting juice with no sugary inside, and tasted very fresh and not grainy. The pinup was a bit sweeter, and so delicious, we shared them both, and the mix felt perfect. We still had a nice bike ride back ahead of us, and didn't want to fill up too much, so we just shared an appetizer, the whipped feta. It was such a unique texture for feta, and made it creamy and sour at the same time, when paired with the roasted cherry tomatoes and crustinis was a delightful, crunchy creamy snack. We ran out of crustinis and asked for more bread, and the server brought us some fresh sourdough, which may have been even better. Prices are to be expected for a place like this, $12 each for a fresh pressed juice and $18 for the whipped feta appetizer. Not a cheap place but the ambience is beautiful and the experience was very delightful. Thank you!

Go woke go broke The hostess last night needs to be fired This is why I stopped going here 2 years ago but I tired it again.. watching the sunset at the bar which awesome and had great service.. decided we wanted to stay for dinner so they said reservations only. We watched 5 tables empty for 30 minutes and then we sat in one. The server said shes not allowed to serve unless we had reservations and to check with hostess. We explained your section has remained empty for 30 minutes dont you want to make money? She walked away. 15 min later the hostess came to kick us out and we tried explaining the tables have been empty now for 45 min! She refused to listen flailing around shaking her head.. we told the manager and left..I feel bad for the servers the hostess causes them to lose money

Rotten food, subpar service, perfect setting! Lido is a great spot to dine, too bad the food quality and service has taken a nose dive. My partner planned a romantic sunset experience. We've been many times. When his burger arrived, I took a bite of his French fry which was the worst tasting rotten food experience I've ever had, nearly causing me to be ill. Never had experienced this before but the smell and taste was akin to rotting garbage/ food throwaway. Not sure the waiter reported this to kitchen staff, as service was seriously lacking. Waiter had tunnel vision and could only do 1 thing at a time taking about 10 minutes to get his attention regarding this food quality issue. I had to spit out the food and asked for a coke to wash it down and the waiter charged us $8 for it. The chicken Milanese was unimpressive, lacking flavor and missing the mark on a Milanese, not sure what it was but I suspect the oil was off. For a good Milanese, Head to La Parilla Liberty or just about any Italian restaurant on the beach. Still the atmosphere and setting can't be beat, I hope the Hotel/Restaurant manager takes a hard look at what's happening in the kitchen and floor, I am near to calling the Florida health department to prevent this from happening to anyone else.

the Standard is a feeling, not a place! From finding this gem on Venetian Islands to walking into the lobby, out through the garden, leading to Lido, it is beautiful! I cannot say I've been swept away by the food here at Lido but the view and ambiance is unforgettable. It's a beautiful, laidback place for a date, casual lunch, happy hour, or a romantic dinner with candlelight after the sunset. I went on Thanksgiving one year for a pre fixe dinner and it was a great deal, food was decent, and we sat and watched dolphins frolicking while we enjoyed our drinks. I have been several times for happy hour and would highly recommend along with their brunch! Service was attentive on each visit.

Good food, but very overpriced food that you will pay for sitting outside by the water, so be prepared to pay money for sitting outside. Our bill was $215 (!) for good but relatively normal food: 1 dozen oysters, 1 seafood entree, 1 ceviche, 2 glasses of white wine, and 1 cocktail. Furthermore, the restaurant will tack on a mandatory 20% service fee (applied after-tax) to complete the shake-down ($). Mind you, this is not a fancy restaurant either. Service was fine, but nothing noteworthy or anything to write home about. My 2 primary complaints are the 1) Ceviche, which uses a cheaper, generic "white fish cubes", which weren't that fresh, tasty, and were slightly fishy tasting. Why don't restaurants in Miami use Mahi Mahi or Grouper in their ceviche? Ceviche was meant to be eaten with Mahi Mahi, but restaurants opt to use a cheaper raw fish ("white fish cubes") as a way to improve their margins. If you want Mahi Mahi or Grouper, then it's considered an "upgrade" and is more expensive. My 2nd complaint is the oysters, which aren't very large, were dramatically overpriced at ~$4 per oyster. I live in Manhattan NYC and oysters are typically priced at $1-2 per oyster there, so this is just another shake-down. Overall, good, but no thanks I'll go somewhere else next time.

Sadly I was really looking forward for my stay at the hotel! And spend time at the pool and the restaurant. However the service was less than poor, some servers and staff looks like are there to hang out than work. In some cases the pool attendant had more time to flirt with the guest than give a good and decent service to their guest! After this stay I doubt I'll stay here again! Without count the multiple times including in the spa i had to witness people with zero elegance making out ina. Very vulgar manner!

Let's start by saying that I ve been at Lido many times and really like this place the location is very nice and you feel you can go there either if you are just coming back from the beach either if you are going for a date. It's a 'grill' style restaurant so don't expect nothing fancy when it comes to food ... they could in my opinion take a little bit more care about some little details ( truffle on truffle fries , better quality of fried items ... spritz was not my best ever ). Service had always been very good and this last time my server was extremely cool ( I didn't get the name unfortunately) but a special mention to Omar ... I think he is a busser ... he was not assigned to my table however he was cleaning a table next to us ... my sunglasses fell on the floor ... he literally jump to pick them up before even I noticed that ... such a great guy ... thanks Omar.
Be the first to ReplyThis review is specifically for the pool at the Standard
This review is specifically for the pool at the Standard and the food, which was from the Standard's in-house restaurant called Lido Bayside.TL;DR - The cabanas are nowhere near the pool, the staff were smoking weed the entire time, food came out overdone and missing items, and the "clean" dishes provided were filthy. As a regular at the Standard in the Village in NYC, I was looking forward to coming here. Our pool is under construction and had guests visiting from out of town, so wanted to book a daybed/cabana at a local hotel pool for the day. We ended up booking this one, which was a gigantic mistake. The pool area is not large, and they cram the space to capacity. You cannot walk 18 inches without running into someone else. People were sunbathing topless (if that's your thing) and smoking. We booked a cabana for 4 for $400 minimum spend. The cabanas, unfortunately, are not near the pool at all, which is not advertised. They are 10 rows of loungechairs back from the pool, set against a wall of ivy, which backs onto an employee area that seemed like a combination of a break area and an area used for prep/staging. They clearly loved weed (no judgment for personal use, but when you're a paying guest, it's kind of unpleasant if you aren't partaking). It was an overpowering smell while we were there, and it was not relaxing as you could clearly hear the employees working or taking their breaks. We ordered food from Lido to the cabana, and the only good thing were the chicken lollipops. I ordered a croque madame with an over easy egg, and it hands down was the worst croque madame I've ever ordered. Very thin piece of ham inside a sandwich, minimal cheese. When it arrived, I was incredulous. The eggs looked as if they had been forgotten on the grill; they were so overdone, no yolk came out when cut into, it was just solid yellow. I ordered a side of "homefries with onion and peppers." There were no onions or peppers, literally just undercooked cubes of potato. My wife ordered an omelette; it arrived completely browned on the outside, severely overdone. The dishes provided were filthy (see photos). And one of the menu quirks -- a 750ml bottle of rose was $80, while a 1.5L bottle was $200 -- which makes no sense. Why would you buy the 1.5L vs. buying two of the 750ml?
Be the first to ReplyAmazing water view dinner and excellent service.
The food itself is not consistent: the appetizers (calamaris, cauliflower) are ok, the entrees (amazing mussel), OK ceviche are decent. Not impressed with their desserts and cocktails and the mark up on the wine is higher than what I'm used to.If I it wasn't for the decorum, the lovely path between the standard hotel and the restaurant, and the night views, I would rate this place much lower.
Be the first to ReplyI was visiting for the day and was pool side with my friend.
I ordered their vegan burger with a house salad. I was served it quickly but with fries, so it had to go back. Never mind It came back correct this time. The burger was freshly made, very pleasant and juicy. The salad was also pleasant. The prices are not cheap, so be warned, but that's the price you pay for the gorgeous views, which are second to none. The vegan burger was 25 dollars.

I love the beautiful 360 oceanfront view at Lido Bayside Grill. You can enjoy at daytime and view the gorgeous city lights at nighttime. The fried artichokes are one of my favorite menu items
Be the first to ReplyMy husband and I heard from friends how lovely the Lido was
My husband and I heard from friends how lovely the Lido was and decided to go for lunch. I called ahead of time to find out if the eggs Benedict served for breakfast would be available for lunch. The person who answered the phone said she had to check and put me on hold. After a few minutes, she returned and assured me that I could get eggs Benedict for lunch and there was no time limit. Anticipating a very enjoyable afternoon, we headed over. The view was spectacular and the waitstaff very friendly. When the waitress came to take our order, she told me I could not get eggs Benedict after the breakfast hour was over, I asked to speak to the manager, telling her what I was told over the phone. She too, said I could not get eggs Benedict after the breakfast hour. The lunch choices were not to my liking and I finally settled on a tasteless guacamole. The view did not make up for my disappointment which was the fault of their staff. How hard is it to make eggs??

Decided to check out lido's on a lovely Sunday afternoon for brunch. We were sat right by the water and our server was very helpful in helping us decide. I went for a lobster roll and my dad ordered the lido Benedict. After about an hour of waiting, we were told they were out of crab cake for the Benedict. We decided on replacing the crab cake for lobster and it was delicious!Although the service could've definitely been better when having to make us wait, the food and view made up for it and I will definitely be back

Amazing views and food !4 stars because we ordered the shrimp cocktail with 6 shrimp but they brought out 1 shrimp. We couldn't figure out how they sent that to our table without question. Other than that mistake, it was still an enjoyable experience because of the views and weather. The frose' and edamame would be my "usual" if I lived in Miami and could be a regular. It's located in the Standard hotel and parking is limited. Valet or Uber is highly recommended
