Ordered online for a Make It a Bowl: CavatappiChoice of Meatballs | (3 Balls): Classic (contains beef & pork)Choice of Sauce: Classic TomatoIt was about $20. I was staying nearby so I was able to walk it. The pick up and text timing was super off. Luckily, I decided to go early. By the time I arrived (probably 10 min before the estimated time), the food was already ready for pick up.Flavor wasn't bad. Foccacia was ok. Nothing too special in my eyes.

It was a very cold day and we popped in for some delicious pasta. The music was great and the food was even better.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food for a decent price, I came here on my birthday
Great food for a decent price, I came here on my birthday last year and me and my best friend had three appetizers, two entrees, a pitcher of beer, and it came out to either 100$ or just shy of 100$. The spicy rigatoni with pork meatballs was so flavorful, just the right amount of kick. I also tried a bite of my friends chicken parm and it was excellent.
Be the first to Reply"That's a spicy meat-a-ball!"No kidding.
I had six of these, so yes, bring on the Alka-Seltzer. Seriously, I liked these spicy golf balls so much that if it were not for gastric restrictions and unelastable waistlines, in addition to hefty New York price tags, I would still be eating these right now. When I lived in New Jersey, there was a restaurant to this that was similar to this concept called Lotsa Balls. They specialized in specialty meatballs and along with some great pasta, they had something special, except I only learned they recently closed.Would there be a restaurant to pick up the torch that Lotsa Balls once held so highly? The short answer? Yes! This restaurant in Williamsburg. The meatballs are flavorful, have an amazing kick and punch (not too overwhelming but enough to knock your tastebuds back a few notches). However, I really wanted to try them all. They are cooked beautifully, plated nicely, and served by Williamsburg's finest residents that only a Williamsburg resident can drum up. That is okay with me.Want a little extra? Go for it.Want some pasta? Do it.Want dessert afterwards? Who is stopping you?Yep, you saw the last part right, dessert. I had to do it, and I do not regret it. It is an ice cream sandwich created how you want it. The ice cream is delicious, and it will quell the rebellion in your small intestine, like a George Washington to a Daniel Shays. It will do you better than any beer might, which might not be saying much.Pretty please. Get the beer. Then pay your bill and start dreaming up what meatballs you plan to get for your next visit. I know I am.
Be the first to ReplyOk sooooo I decided to try something new.

I've been meaning to check this place out due to recommendations. However, their service was really lacking. I didn't even know who our server was as they were all confused. If their service was better, I would give them a higher rating. One of the servers came by to ask if we were being helped. I'm thinking to myself, how come they don't have a system or talk to eat other? Another server came around asking if we wanted drinks, and I got the fool aid glass. It tasted a bit like spiked grape juice with some medicine mixed inside of it. (It sorta reminded me of robitussin.)Ordered the mini Buffalo balls as an appetizer, which was pretty good. Ordered the rigatoni spicy pork - it comes with three meatballs, it was a bit spicy, however, nothing I couldn't handle. Got the Mac and cheese on the side, too, which could've been better. All in all, I won't be returning to this location. Perhaps I'll try another one out.

We've been going here since before they opened the Bedford Ave location but we won't be coming back unless this situation is corrected. My wife, daughter and I came by early Friday evening for their "happy hour" dinner deals but the host told us it was only for bar seating. So we asked to sit at the bar but they said kids were not allowed at the bar. We asked to sit at the high top tables next to the bar and they said that was considered table seating so no happy hour. So, essentially, the advertised "happy hour" should also say "children excluded". The meatball shop should be a great family restaurant but with this discriminatory policy they have lost our business. I'll be sure to help spread the word and tell other families to take their business elsewhere.

**for delivery**I was a fan of TMS when they first opened and had a menu that consisted of just meatballs and a side. The menu has since expanded to include entrees like roasted chicken, salmon, or branzino. We ordered dinner on Sunday night. Spaghetti and meatballs for my kid. A good portion of spaghetti and 3 large meatballs. She was only interested in the spaghetti. My husband had the Flatbread with bacon and some other toppings with a side of calamari. The Flatbread was nearly $20 and not impressive at all. It was small and soggy. The calamari suffered in transit but was tasty. I had the roasted chicken breast with asparagus, mushrooms and mashed potatoes. I also got a side of the "cali-flower", roasted cauliflower with caesar dressing. The mashed potatoes were nice - smooth and buttery. The mushrooms were unique and tasty. The asparagus was sauteed and still crisp. The chicken was the biggest disappointment. $27. And the chicken was so dry it was a choking hazard. It was also very bitter- like burnt garlic and lemon. Dinner was expensive and not very impressive. I'm sorry to say since I was a huge fan upon inception.

Best meatball in town they hay a lot or variety, from traditional meatballs to chicken and even vegan ones, the menu changes regularly, their parmesan cheese is the best one! Make sure to order the special cookies with ice cream (to die for) the service was great, the place is small and gets busy fast!
Be the first to ReplyCame here during Restaurant Week for lunch.
They had a special restaurant week menu but we decided to order from the happy hour menu. They have a lot of food options on the happy hour menu all for $8. My girls and I decided to do it family style and ordered a couple of different things. Calamari was good, fresh with the right around of crisp. Garlic bread was amazing- I was tempted to order a second serving.Lasagna is my favorite food and they did not not disappoint. It was so good and flavorful. OG NYC Hero was superb that we ordered a second one. Meatballs excellent The ice cream sandwich was on point. We left there stuffed and it was worth every calorie. The reason why I didn't give the full five Stars because there cocktails were failing. We tried the rose sangria which tasted like water. Also had the fool aid which Was very disappointing. Overall, great experience! Amazing food. I will definitely come back and just order different house cocktails.

Popped in here on a Saturday afternoon - it wasn't super busy. Was excited to try this place as it had many reviews, and it's unique - meatballs!Food was tasty, but I probably wouldn't return. If I could give it 3.5 stars, that'd be my rating. Service was also a little slow, unfortunately.
Be the first to ReplyWas hoping for good things from this place.
Who doesnt love a good meatball, or some pasta, or a salad? This experience was just blah. I placed an order online, with a pick-up option. I ordered the mini buffalo meatballs, a single classic meatball in the parmesan cream sauce and the seasonal risotto, which consisted of butternut squash, brown butter and sage. The classic meatball was sort of bland. The cream sauce wasnt too bad. The risotto? Undercooked. The rice was still a little on the stiff side. This was very disappointing, as this could have been a kick ass dish. Now, the mini buffalo balls? These were actually pretty good. They are a chicken meatball, soaked in buffalo sauce. Definitely the highlight of an otherwise disappointing experience. Now, to talk about the ordering experience. Ordering online was super easy. You get a text or email that says your order has been placed. And then a follow up to let you know your order is ready. Well, my ready text came prematurely. My meal wasnt ready when I received the text. 8 minutes after I got the text it was finally ready. And, I had to go back, 2 times. One, to request plastic silverware, and a second time because they forgot the blue cheese for the mini balls. Hopefully these small details will improve over time. Would I go back? I probably would just to have to mini balls again, and to maybe try some of their pasta dishes. But, Brooklyn is full of other places that I wont be returning anytime soon.
Be the first to ReplyWalking around Williamsburg on a Sunday afternoon trying to
Walking around Williamsburg on a Sunday afternoon trying to find brunch with no reservations is no east task. After getting rejected from a few places (30+ min wait times) we walked into The Meatball Shop. To our surprise, "Yea we can seat 5 people" response came as quickly as we asked the question to sit 5 people. Hallelujah!! Some of us ordered spaghetti, some ordered sandwiches, and others brunch menu item- biscuit and mushroom gravy with meatballs. Every single item was delicious!!We sat, ate, chatted, and simply had a wonderful relaxed afternoon with amazing server helping us with our requests for food, drinks, and space for conversations. Highly recommend this spot if you want to see what Williamsburg's hospitality is all about.
Be the first to ReplyService was SO friendly.
The food is very well priced and delicious and it was an overall very fun and homey experience. Recommend any of the sandwiches!

After a long day of adventuring in the city we were wandering back to our hotel and passed by this place. He stopped to drool over the menu and I sarcastically joked that I was sure they had a vegan option for me... and was floored to see that they truly did (and that it was actually housemade and not just reheated Beyond meat). They were close to closing (it was approaching midnight) but the friendly manager didn't have a problem with our to-go order and was kind enough to let us enjoy them at one of the outside tables while they closed up. I went with the housemade "Perfect" meatballs in the veggie ragu sauce and was really satisfied. The plantbased meatballs were sizeable, flavored and cooked well, and the ragu was tasty. Definitely glad we stopped in.

Wow, this is definitely the place to go for tour favorite comfort food. Yum yum, I'll be taking a nap after this one.
Be the first to ReplyGood tasty meat ball sandwich.
Definitely recommend, can't wait to go back for some meat balls.
Be the first to ReplyDefinitely will come here again.
I have food allergies and dietary restrictios. I wasn't certain if I would find something to eat. I had the "Perfect" vegetarian meatballs in classic sauce. I would swear I was having a REAL MEAT meatball. Definitely recommend the food and staff was accommodating.
Be the first to ReplyGreat little spot in Brooklyn.
Food is all made to order, so expect a bit of a wait after you order. Parking is terrible, but I guess the locals are all aware that is normal. The meatballs are a bit salty for my taste, but so flavorful and can stand alone. Pesto is pretty basic, classic sauce was great, 6kids total devoured 3 big bowls. Parmesan cream was very heavy. Mozzarella balls so yummy, slightly heavy breading. Buffalo chicken was my least favorite. Could use more hot sauce. Cauliflower and broccoli sides were possibly my favorite.

Literally just walked out of the place and I had to write this! The best meal I've had in weeks!! I spent the day at the spa and than came here for dinner and it was the best comfort food ever. The tomato soup with grilled cheese balls! Beyond perfect! The chicken balls with peppers and onions was so delicious we ate the sauce alone. I can't wait to go back!
