Went here on a Tuesday night and so glad I did! It is a long week but all day happy hour with half of drafts makes this place worth it especially on Tuesdays! I got bee tea cocktail on draft for half off so just 6 bucks and it was so refreshing! Their wine selection is decent too as well a beer. Now for food: Had their chicken sandwich and burger split half and half with a friend and I enjoyed both. The chicken was crispy with a hint of blue cheese. Burger was cooked to perfection and the buns on both sandwiches must have been brioche since it was so soft and good. Their fries are cooked to perfection. Everything came out warm and delicious.I will definitely hope to visit this place again another Tuesday! Beautiful ambiance.

My boyfriend and I tried out this place for a Friday date night, but overall we're not wowed in the slightest. While the atmosphere is super cool, romantic, and trendy, the food was just alright. The portions felt small, and the food was nothing memorable. Definitely more of a place to stop in for drinks on your way elsewhere.
Be the first to ReplyOk, their reviews should be better.
I love this place. Perfect bar to sit at and chat for hours (recommend sitting at the bar). The service was great, good conversation. The menu is ever-changing, which is fun. The chicken sandwich I got was delicious. They have an espresso martini on draft...simply amazing. Beautiful and clean bathrooms (and interior in general). It is connected to Schubas. We had a concert there and got 15% off our bill the night of the concert, which rocks. Love love love this place. I will be back.*Also, I heard their brunch is delicious.

Do not sleep on Tied House! After walking past it for years, we finally tried it, and it did NOT disappoint. The cocktails, food and ambiance were amazing. I had a gin-blueberry cocktail that was perfectly sippable. For food, we had the olive and rosemary foccicia, the house salad, fried chicken salad and salmon entree. Everything was extremely tasty and perfectly seasoned. Staff was pleasant and knowledgeable - steering us to great options on the menu. Highly recommend.
Be the first to ReplyTied House is a solid spot right next to Schubas on Belmont.
The inside and ambiance is great and the bar is gorgeous. It is very nice but also has a casual element as well which is great. The food was good, we got the meatball sub and the gnocchi. Highly recommend getting the sandwich but the gnocchi was a smaller portion size. We also got the cocktails on top which was super fun, so recommend getting one of those too. We sat at the bar and had really great service and good conversation from the staff!
Be the first to ReplyWorst restaurant experience.
Arrived when they were half empty. Martinis were very short poured and not very dry as ordered. I ordered a vodka rocks instead and poured my martini into my husband's and the 2 drinks filled 1 glass! Food took a very long time and while we waited several other tables who came in much later than we did got their orders, several the same items we ordered. When we mentioned this to waitress we were told they were very busy and those people ordered salads. BS many ordered same hot dishes we did! We told them to cancel our food and walked out as it finally showed up 45 minutes after ordering. Don't waste your money on this place! It might look pretty but lacks so much more! So many fantastic restaurants in Chicago with fabulous food who understand customer service!

Waitress and atmosphere were lovely, and that's why I'm giving 2 stars. But other than that, I couldn't believe how average this place was vs portion size vs how unbelievably overpriced it was. I spent $50 on a measly and not very tasty watermelon salad, beef tartare that sort of tasted like Hamburger Helper, and a coke. My friend spent $40 on the tiniest plate of gnocchi I've ever seen and one gin & tonic. How in God's name is that a $100 meal between the two of us?! Like maybe if the portions and food were more measurable and we were drinking more alcohol, but they're acting like you're at Alinea or something. I didn't even get to see the actual bill either. The waitress came over with one of those portable credit card machines and we were expected to hand our cards over just like that. They also charge a $30 cancellation fee if you have a reservation and cancel under 24 hours, which is ridiculous considering there were like a dozen open tables at 7pm on a Thursday in the summer, which is when we went. Overall was super disappointed on the $50 I wasted here and will not be returning.

I couldn't recommend this place enough! The staff is amazing, the chef is amazing! I've been coming here since they reopened after the pandemic and I'll be coming here for ever! The summer menu is A+!
Be the first to ReplyTied House has one of the most lovely patios in Chicago
Tied House has one of the most lovely patios in Chicago (and the decor inside is stunning, too). I've been here twice, and the menu is seasonal and always has SEVERAL vegetarian options, which means I'll likely return. On my most recent visit, I ordered the Banana Stand to drink -- definitely one of the more unique drinks I've had recently with a strong flavor that I enjoyed. For dinner, my boyfriend and I split the rigatoni (without 'nduja) and the green harissa roasted broccoli. Both were excellent. The rigatoni is a simple dish done very well, with house-made pasta and exactly the right balance of flavors. The broccoli came with a couscous salad that, on its own, would be a great lunch (seriously, I wish I could make a giant batch of this). The only criticism I had, and this is a small thing, is that the dessert menu only consists of ice cream. It was a little chilly when we went, so we weren't in the mood for ice cream, but we would've ordered a dessert had there been a more extensive menu.
Be the first to ReplyFood wasn't bad, but wouldn't be back.
We ordered mussels (a bit overpriced) which didn't come with bread, so naturally I asked if they had any bread. I was told of course, but was told nothing about an up charge. This is what we got - 1 slice of white bread. For 3 people. We checked out bill this morning and saw we got charged $4 for that 1 bread slice. Ridiculous. Shameful. We also ordered the pasta, which wasn't anything to write home about, and the burger wasn't special in any way. I like to give places second chances, but when an establishment rips a customer off the way they did - customers aren't their focus. It's the profit that matters. Take your money elsewhere. Chicago has too many great restaurants that treat customers properly to waste your money in places such as this one.

Excellent spot! Everything we tried was delicious, drinks included. Our favorite was the crab toast.
Be the first to ReplyMy first time there it was great.
I was here for my friend's birthday celebration. We had Into The Woods on draft and it was good. For appetizer we had marinated eggplant which it was amazing. For dinner we had a chicken sandwich and I order without mayo and it had mayo on it. That's the reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars. But they remade the order with fresh French Fries too. Other than that I will be back this spring or summer with my boyfriend.
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely gorgeous venue with an eclectic menu.
The menu has a select range of items from mac and cheese to burgers to pasta and steaks. The menu is not extensive but has something for most palates. We came for burgers- one plant-based for me and a single patty for my date. The burgers were delicious, a standard American cheese, pickles, lettuce, dijonaise. I would've liked tomato and onion for good measure, but I'm sure if I would've asked, I could've had it. We also had mussels and fries as an appetizer, as well as the chickpea salad. Both were good enough. Overall, this is a cute place that has big potential for a solid brunch reputation (they don't currently offer a brunch menu, but with this interior, brunch girls would flock here).

Stunning interior decor and accommodating staff for a larger group (10+) . Cute place where we cebrated a friends birthday. A little upset that they charged an outrageous amount to bring and cut a cake for us after spending good money on drinks and food, but would probanly go back here if someone asked me to.
Be the first to ReplyGreat atmosphere with good food.
Very solid choice for date spot. You can catch a show or comedy at schubas right next door.
Be the first to ReplyBeautifully designed interior.
Great service. Excellent response to any perceived problems with prompt attention and very respectful of client wishes. Food is wonderful, the menu changes constantly in the most adventurist ways. I don't drink, but the bar staff recommended the most delightful non-alcoholic craft beverages. I get here often and am never disappointed by the food, hospitality and service.

Just a great restaurant, not really anything bad on the menu. Kinda like upscale bar food, but better than that. Drinks are great. The space is beautiful. Always have a good time going here!

Atmosphere is fantastic, but the food is hit or miss - the chicken sandwich was delicious, but the broccoli salad was disappoint and way overpowered by the goat cheese dressing.

Came here for a few drinks after dinner the other night and had the best time! We sat at the bar and had two very friendly bartenders mixing drinks for us. We asked if they could craft a cocktail for mezcal-lovers, and they truly understood the assignment! They were so good that we had three rounds! After that, we switched to Paper Planes per the bartenders recommendation. Great ambiance, stellar drinks, and awesome service. I would definitely come back here to grab drinks with friends!

..This place has a beautifully designed interior with nice color scheme and outdoor patio with green painted fire place with shelves holding pickled veggies in mason jars while decorating brick exposed walls...Just gorgeous up and down...It sets you up to think the food will be fantastic and with prices fairly high you will be expecting top quality food...But Nope its a bait and switch. On to the food...Mostly mediocre thrown together dishes like waffle fries with pulled chicken on top...Or big salad with everything but kitchen sink thrown in or how about a ham sandwich with fries and for dessert some watermelon sorbet that tasted like funky feet with salt and peach ice cream that was honestly some of the worst peach ice cream ive ever had in my entire life on earth...Only thing i could think was that the ice cream was made with rotten peaches...lol...Hell even the cocktail was pretty bad...Anyhoo the bill was over 80 bucks and now add 18 percent tip and you have just been robbed by a food establishment I wont even go into the bad service because whats the point...All I truly care about is the food and it sucked so bad weird service doesnt mean a thing for me.Did I mention how cool and relaxing the inside of this place is...The 2 stars are for the interior design team...Well lets just say 5 stars for the Interior and zero for everything else...I wont be back until all new menu and chef are put into place.
Be the first to ReplyService was good but food wasn't as good.
The restaurant ran out of short ribs so didn't get to try that. We ordered the big salad, the waffle fries, sausage, and Mac n cheese but none of it was memorable. The Frozen Cocktails were good - nice on a hot day!

This used to be my favorite restaurant now it has degraded to an average restaurant with a menu like cheeseburgers and a scoop of ice cream. It has lost its sophistication and uniqueness.
