LOVELY.
the perfect retreat from the summer heat. it was all smaller portions, so it's def a place to try a bunch of things (which is what i did) they did not disappoint. it was all very yummy. i got the congee, steamed pork and shrimp dumplings, sticky rice, spicy wontons, pan fried noodles, bbq pork buns, and pan fried chicken and ginger dumplings. i didn't try any of their drinks, unfortunately. my personal favorites were the bbq pork dumplings the pan fried noodles. don't get me wrong tho, every is worth trying. personally, i didn't mess with the congee or the shrimp dumplings, but to be perfectly candid, i don't like shrimp or oat meal (and congee has a watered down oatmeal ish texture) so that's prob why i didn't like it. if you're a congee and shrimp lover, you'll like it i promise. i went with my best friend and her mom, and her mom lived in china for school, and she highly recommend the congee here. "very authentic and nostalgic" she says! the menus were cool, instead of saying "hi waiter i would like X Y and Z" you just check off boxes on a piece of paper and they just take it. so not a lot of interaction with the workers if you're a person with social anxiety, this is really awesome. also, we did order one other thing but it never came, but we also ordered so many things so it wasn't the end of the world. if you're in the area, i would def recommend this place.
The worst service.
Made us wait for 30 mins with plenty of empty tables and took us off the wait list while we were a block away. The food is not even that good for the wait.

Baos are delicious but not better than several restaurants in Boston Chinatown. IMHO, it's good but not a Michelin level that I expected to be great. It's worth for the waiting time though. Restaurant decorations are kinda boring.

I had happened to be in the city early so I got there as it just opened on Sunday so there was no waiting! Yahoo! I went with my sister and we ordered 6 dim sum dishes. The absolute must get is the baked bbq pork buns. (B1) That's what ppl go there for and it is so worth it. Reminded me of when I ate it in Hong Kong and it was so so delicious. Soft bun and the bbq pork inside was hot and cooked perfectly. We also got steamed shrimp dumpling (har how) yummy! shrimp was fresh and no seafood smell. The steamed rice roll with minced beef was ok. Should've gotten the shrimp version. The steamed bean curd was so so. The pan fried turnip and shumai was also very good. It's pretty expensive for each dish but it comes to the table nice and hot. It was worth the money for good food and service. I wouldn't come here often because it is too expensive for dim sum but if you want to treat yourself, this is a great place to go.

I'm coming at this from the perspective of a person who went to Tim Ho Wan in Asia, and so it's possible that I had expectations that were too high. This place was okay. The prices were okay. The taste of each dish was okay. The decor in this specific location felt like I was in a Café de Coral, which is... ok considering the other factors. But yeah. The original Tim Ho Wan in Hong Kong was definitely more rundown, but it was rundown with an old school no nonsense charm that made the quality of their dim sum stand out harder. The new Tim Ho Wans across Singapore, Shanghai and more have fancied themselves up a bunch, and I think this NYC Tim Ho Wan takes from the same brand playbook. Except the service isn't as fancy as Shanghai/Singapore, the dim sum is much more basic than Shanghai/Singapore, and the prices are more expensive (which, I guess what are you going to do in NYC, right? I can't truly fault them for that.). That having been said, it was okay. If you're craving dim sum and you're in the East Village area, it's not like you're surrounded by a plethora of better options.

Tucked away under scaffolding and in the midst of busy LES is some of the best dim sum I've ever had - especially for the price! We ordered a plethora of dishes, all of which we were blown away by. The highlights for me were the pork noodles, baos, and crispy noodles. The only thing I could've done without were the taro cakes. Service was super speedy and on top of it all - we were seated so fast even with the long line. We also appreciated how quickly they took away our used plates given how much we ordered and how full our table was. Additionally, my friend thought it was such a cool place that he wanted to talk to the GM for a job application - and in meeting him, it felt like an even more personal and special experience after being told some history on the establishment. Ambiance - it's fun, it's dim sum, people are chatting, laughing, and stuffing their faces - and rightfully so!!! 10/10 would return.

Restaurant service is pretty on par with dim sum restaurants (you have to flag everyone down) but that's normal. Their dishes are very ginger heavy- not a fan (meatballs, beef with rice) so unfortunately there's not much else I can eat. Pricing is average for NYC (meaning expensive everywhere else).

I had to try this location as I have heard the Singapore location had a Michelin star. I have never been to a Michelin star restaurant before and even though this location isn't Michelin star, I wanted to try it and compare it to the many many many dim sum restaurants I have been to in my life. Me and my friend purchase 1 bbq bun, 1 siu mai, 1 beef noodle roll, 1 shrimp noodle roll, 1 green tea sesame ball and 1 order of pan fried noodles. My favorite dim sum dish is usually the shrimp noodle roll and while I enjoyed the soft texture and the shrimp was decent, there was nothing about it that stood out and the flavor wasn't really there. The green tea sesame ball was nice and crispy and I was pleasantly surprised by it. The pan fried noodles was good but I think it was a tad bit pricey for not having any meat in it. The taste was fairly subtle and oily. The star was the baked bbq pork bun. I heard this is their specialty. The texture of the bun was nice and a bit flakey. It was a tad bit crispy as well. The meat was flavorful and was not as fatty as a lot of pork buns. I'd recommend this the most. Overall it's good but the price is also higher than other dim sum places with me and the one friend I went with spending over $25 per person. There are better locations in flushing for cheaper.
Decent food but limited selection
There was an extremely limited selection for a vegetarian but the kitchen did make two dishes without meat for us. Not a huge menu. Good service and average prices. Dumplings, noodles and shu mai were good, but the red bean dessert was awful.

The food was delicious. And as we ordered more food, they continued to bring it out at a proper pace. The staff were attentive and quick to come to our table whenever we looked up. We highly recommend.

Visited Tim Ho Wan in NYC's Hell's Kitchen and loved the authentic dim sum, especially the baked pork bun. Friendly staff and fantastic service, reminiscent of their Hong Kong location. Highly recommended, but expect a queue.
Tasty DimSum!
The dim sum was very tasty and staff friendly. We had the Shimp Rice Roll, Wonton in spicy oil, Har Gow, Bean Curd and the Pork Buns.
Good Dim Sum near the theater district
Went here for dinner following a show upon recommendation of family member who lives on Manhattan. Was slightly early for dinner rush so fortunate to not have to wait for a table. Menu is slightly limited but every item we tried was excellent. Servers tag-team but seemed to work seamlessly for us. We went through two rounds of ordering and wait times were reasonable both times. Would recommend and will consider return trip on next visit.

Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
