Tom Colicchio's Craftsteak Las Vegas Reviews from The Last Year
The service, food, and ambiance were all much appreciated.
Our waiter was funny and personable. I did like the warm frasse salad but it was a bit over dressed for my taste. The others at the table enjoyed all of their steaks and sides.
What an excellent Las Vegas meal! I wasn't in the mood for
What an excellent Las Vegas meal! I wasn't in the mood for steak, but my half a chicken did not disappoint in anyway. It was cooked perfectly, as was the mashed potatoes that we got is an accompaniment . The cocktails were also superior, as was the bread served at the table, the ambience and the service

3rd year in a row, my wife and I celebrated her Bday at Craftsteak. The food was amazing, our server Darryl was very attentive, Todd the sommelier made a great recommendation for wine for our dinner. Greg and savanna the managers checked on our table. Great ambiance and We Will definitely be back to celebrate many other important life events.
Having dinner with colleagues here was fun.
We did family style with the sampler steak package. Starting things off, I ordered red wine recommended by the waiter. First came the bread with butter. Then the starters came: shrimp cocktail, steak tartare, warm frisee and Bloomsdale spinach salad. The steak tartare was amazing. For the entrees, four steak cast iron plates came: NY strip, wagyu, skirt steak and ribeye. While trying all this meat, I ordered a second glass of wine. The skirt steak was the best. Sides include broccoli di Ciccio, Brussels sprouts, assorted mushrooms and puree potatoes. The mushrooms were the best. For desserts: creme brulee, cheesecake, cinnamon monkey bread, ice cream & sorbet. I never had monkey bread before and turns out it wasn't half as bad as I thought. Overall, the experience was nice, but when I found out just the two glasses of wine alone was $60.00...well, who hasn't lost their inhibitions when having fun?
Pricy, but next level experience!
Went here for a great meal with a friend over a long weekend in Vegas. I will say at the beginning it is not cheap and not something you could do every day, but it is well worth it for every now and then. I had the steak tartar, fingerling potatoes, cauliflower, mushrooms and a 10 oz domestic wagyu. The steak was cooked to perfection and was incredible. The slides were also outstanding. The service was phenomenal. Our waiter explained everything and seemed like genuinely wanted to be there. Really cool team and I can't recommend the place enough. The chefs and team there will definitely not be told to pack their knives and go...
Honestly this was not our first choice in places to eat but
Honestly this was not our first choice in places to eat but we were running late so we ate here. It was the best meal we had in Vegas. While I was ordering a cocktail waiting for the rest of our party to arrive the bartender recommended the skirt steak. He was not wrong. It was amazing! The meals here are family style. They are big enough to split. In Vegas? Yes! We split skirt steak and an order of scallops. Scallops are hit and miss. These were cooked perfectly- dare I say the best I have ever had. The service - 10/10. All of this in time to get us to our show. Will be coming back here next time we are in Vegas 100%.
Very good across the board.
The steak is not comparable to some of my top 10 nationally which is the only thing holding me back from giving 5 stars. Great sides and good service. Atmosphere is dim without being stuffy.
Dining at a high-end steakhouse comes with the expectation
Dining at a high-end steakhouse comes with the expectation of an experience that justifies the expense; it's a special occasion that promises exceptional food and service. Unfortunately, my recent visit fell short of these expectations. Despite the premium price tag, the meal did not deliver anything remarkably special or memorable. The quality and uniqueness of the dishes didn't match the level of investment, leaving me feeling somewhat shortchanged. For those considering a visit, I would recommend exploring other options where your investment might yield a more rewarding dining experience.
Great bar staff, fillet was good, service was also good.
Would recommend if you are staying in MgM Grand hotel
The food here is so amazing.
I normally get the ribeye but tried the Skirt Steak by staff suggestions and OH MY GAWWWD was it soooo delicious. Who knew it was that good!!! Cooked perfectly, medium rare. It was divine. The a Chilean Sea Bass was delicious too. Crispy on the outside and melt in your mouth good. If you've never tried the Warm Frisée salad, you must, it gets all the taste buds awake. Steve and John behind the bar were fabulous and server Eddie is always wonderful. The restaurant is beautiful.
Food was succulent.
Service was top notch & they were very attentive. Atmosphere was perfect in celebrating my wife's birthday in 2023.
Such a sad downfall
wow, has this place gone downhill. Used to be excellent service and food. Service was below average at best. Steaks were prettty terrible. Sent a filet back (was about 4oz and total fat for $77) Refire took 35 minutes. Staff was nowhere. Ask for manager who was pedantic and unelpful. Have a dessert and shut up. Such a shock as I always set this as a gold standard for quality and service. Tom should take a break from Top Chef and check out is flailing restaurant.
Excellent food - fantastic service
Visited as a family for New Year’s Eve. Food was excellent. We’ve not been to the US for over a decade, generally service has been good but not as it used to be, however the service throughout our visit here was exceptional. From the runners to the waiters every person was engaging and clearly knew the menu and wines inside and out. Great experience and would highly recommend a visit though it’s not cheap !
Probably the best on the strip
This is likely the best restaurant on the strip. It isn’t in the best location (MGM doesn’t offer the same feel that Craftsteak does), but the quality and consistency of the food and service is second to none. Their menu has been basically the same for more than 15 years, and that’s because there is no need to mess with perfection.
Great food but a HUGE miss. We will not return.
The pros: Food was very good. The cons: We went to celebrate our daughter's 16th birthday there and let them know when I made the reservations online. No acknowledgment of her birthday at all. It was very disappointing. In addition, they played pop music a little too loud for a high end restaurant. It did not fit. We will not return. We are not the type of family that has money to spend at high end places, so this was such a bummer for us.
The experience just unraveled
Was really looking forward to our evening at Craftsteak and while it started well it was an epic failure. We arrived 10 minutes before our reservation and were seated about 10 minutes after. No big deal but we said we had a show in about two hours, no problem. A bourbon cocktail, Wine and Lobster bisque soup was very good and our server Antonio was great. But then it unraveled. Excuse after excuse on our wait for the entree, even from the manager, 10 minutes became 10 more minutes, until it became obvious we were going to miss the show if we continued to wait. Having lost confidence in their ability to stay within 2 hours for dinner we had to leave without ever getting our entree. Very frustrating and disappointing experience.
Amazing must go!
David, Aturo, and Richard were wonderful. They made us feel right at home. We love the choice of music and also loved that we could hear the music. It was like they were playing my husbands 70's playlist. It was the perfect volume. The ambience was wonderful top notch restaurant without the stuffiness. The food was amazing! We will definitely make this a place where we go to dinner whenever we visit Vegas. Thank you so much for making our experience so memorable.
Don't miss this place
Fantastic service. Great food. I would highly recommend this as a don't miss. Steak, lamb, and fish all consumed at our table and all a+
NUMBER ONE PLACE IN THE WORLD TO EAT!!!!!
We just had the best service and amazing food at this restaurant. We have eaten all over the world and this is our number one place to eat. Thanks to Marvin (or Martin -sorry ) and the whole staff that served our family of 7!! Our grandson who is only 8 thought the food was amazing!!
Best steak ever!
We had planned to visit a different steakhouse in the Wynn but after reading a few mediocre reviews, we were having doubts. Having wandered by this restaurant during the day, we read some of the positive reviews and immediately booked. The location is excellent and the restaurant itself very well appointed. We were greeted at the door and immediately taken through to our table. The service was excellent throughout, from the sommelier who had evidently trained in France to our waiter who clearly explained the food menu and was attentive without being overbearing. In summary, this was the best dining experience we had during our break. My wife and I find it hard to get too excited about steak; how much can you do with it eh? However, this far exceeded our expectations and my wife declared that this was the best filet mignon she’d ever tasted. Pricey but not ridiculous - and Vegas just costs more nowadays.
