Came here for lunch following a recent NYT review. Cooking on a convex cast iron grill looked fun. But why does Korean food always cost so much?
We had an order of the marinated pork, it was $23 for 3 strips and the kalbi was 4 strips. Is the price of meat that high? Granted there's marinating and work involved but really, why does Korean BBQ always cost so much?
Anyway, limited amount of ban chan. Like the small touch of a pitcher of water and a small side table to put stuff (necessary as the convex grill takes up nearly the entire table).
We ordered the cold noodles in an ice bowl purely because the presentation was so cool but it wasn't worth the $14 for what it was. It really isn't.
We ordered fried rice up front but after waiting half an hour with an empty grill for them to bring it out, had to remind them.
The house made fermented soy bean paste wasn't too shabby.
Otherwise, service was friendly enough.
