Toscana Ristorante & Bar Las Vegas Reviews from The Last Year
Great place with some caveats.
The place is great. The King Salmon was impeccable, and came with vegetables prepared and served in a very interesting way, tasty too. Very professional service. However, they don't serve soups, they don't serve hot tea, and they have limited options for dark beer. The espresso was superb, but tiramisu was very non-orthodox, it was basically some cream hidden inside a hard chocolate shell, which was hard to break without exerting substantial force, which would not be appropriate at the table, had to ask for a knife to break the chocolate shell. The waiter explained that the restaurant deliberately tried to present tiramisu in an unusual way. I would not really call it tiramisu - it is something entirely different, and was not really to my liking. Great experience overall.
A tad pretentious
The food was only mediocre. My friend and I each ordered the spinach and ricotta ravioli on a strong recommendation from our waiter. There was a strong lemon flavor on it. I powered through, but can’t say I enjoyed it and my friend couldn’t eat it. Another ordered the salmon and he said he did like it. Three others split a massive porterhouse. They all liked it but it was under-cooked and they were afraid to ask for it to be cooked more as it had already been sliced. All in all, I expect pricey in Vegas. But if you are going to present yourself as a top tier restaurant, the experience needs to match it. It didn’t.
Off the market
Very expensive restaurant inside the EATALY pavilion in Las Vegas. Rude service and good quality dishes (excellent ravioli and cold cuts) but completely out of the market even for Las Vegas.
Bad
Really really bad. Pasta was hard. Bread was burned. No spices. Drinks were awful. There was no part of this meal that we enjoyed. I’m not a picky eater at all, and never write reviews, but I had to for this.
Not really Tuscan or Italian. Overpriced
Expensive. Bland food, lacking in Italian spices. Octopus appetizer charred tentacles rubbery. Don’t order. Had far superior in the Greek restaurants in Astoria, Queens. Pasta was over priced, no oregano, garlic etc. Food seems to be directed at non flavor non discriminate flavor profile. Disappointing experience

Decent food, but wildly overpriced for the quality and quantity. Better off finding better goods at the vendor stalls in Eataly.
One of the most overpriced, overhyped restaurants .
... and that's not an overstatement. The restaurant is in the Eataly section of the Park MGM hotel in Las Vegas. The stay at the hotel/casino was very nice, but stay away from this restaurant. Most nicer Italian restaurants provide bread to start the meal. But here it costs extra ... $11 extra! Also ordered a martini that costs $20! So not a good start to the meal. My girlfriend ordered the gnocchi and I ordered the ravioli. We both agreed wholeheartedly that the comparable dishes even at Olive Garden were much better and less than half the price! My dish honestly tasted like it was microwaved. And it included only 5 or so pillows. And it was $38! My girlfriend and I have the opportunity to dine at a lot of nice restaurants, in Las Vegas and many other cities. And we both agreed this place will never make it on our list as a repeat. I felt like I had been beaten and robbed as I walked out of this restaurant. I expect more for those prices! I can't say it strongly enough .... avoid this place.
Surpising impressed by the menu concept offerings.
All the entree's have a sommelier wine pairing and if you enjoy a good wine with your meal, you should try the entree recommended wine pairing. We ordered the polpo (grilled octopus), gnocchi al Quattro formaggi e tartufo, broccolini al peperoncino, tiramisu and the paired wine, Rosso di Montalcino (Sangiovese). Everything was excellent and the gnocchi was extraordinary with the paired wine.

If This review was for the food and for the personalities
If This review was for the food and for the personalities of the staff it would be 5 stars. But the lack of service was inexcusable. We waited an unreasonable amount of time from being seated until having to get up and ask for the bill then take the bill to be rung out. We literally had to ask for everything. Except complimentary Prosecco. Which we appreciated but don't drink. Francisco was amazing and tried his best to keep getting us the right staff to take our order, It clearly got uncomfortable for him. When the food arrived it Was a flavor bomb. Everyone was courteous I just don't know why they were absent from providing us service. Side note The women's bathroom was out of service and we were not told that which is something That would have been appreciated nor directed how far the closest restroom Was. It was an inconvenience to leave the restaurant and walk through the eatery to an outside restroom. We will definitely not return to dine. Also it was not busy at all, many empty tables and bar area. . We never had a consistent server. We watched staff talking, joking, and doing what appeared to be busy work as we waited for service. I did talk with two separate staff yet a manager never showed up. I was not in the mood to have to search one down and Complain. The staff knew the service they Provided is. Also add The sommelier was very friendly. Not a good experience but again Chef Bravo food was outstanding. No apologies except when they realized they forgot our drinks. I am really confused by this complete lack of service. Prices were expensive, worth the food but not the lack of service.
Normally Toscana is a wonderful experience.
Yesterday, however, the service disappointed. After being seated for 20 minutes, we were finally approached by out server (Jonathan) for the drink order. And he took one order for drinks while ignoring two others at the table. Twice we needed to call upon Jonathan because he failed to follow up. Is this a case of under staffing or indifference on the part of the server? I would be able to overlook the poor service IF the server had been pleasant and personable. But, sadly, he was not. I expect more from Toscana. In contrast, service at less expensive Cafe Monte consistently exceeds expectations.

This is an Italian restaurant but I consider it a steakhouse because I've rarely had a more delicious steak. They cook grass fed beef over wood fire. It's unbelievable!
Polpo.
Ate here before a concert and loved the ambiance. Service was great and food was good and not overly filling.
Malto Bene
The food and service was excellent - authentic Italian cooking However, the receptionist was extremely rude to both me and my wife - never argue with a customer. Clearly they can be replaced by AI!
Perfect place to sit at the bar and have an Excellent salad
Perfect place to sit at the bar and have an Excellent salad and wonderful glass of wine before a Vegas Golden Knights Hockey game Music is not too loud The open fire grill keeps everyone warm
Fantastic
We were in vegas and had alternate plans that we had to change last minute. Found this gem of a restaurant. Tucked into the Park MGM right next to Eataly. Service was amazing. Food was fantastic and overall a total thumbs up!
Amazing wood-fired steaks skillfully prepared
This restaurant's steaks rival any of the well-known steakhouses we've visited (Gallagher's, the fix, Prime). If Scott is cooking your steak, you will not be disappointed!! He's a master at steak preparation. Be sure to ask Dylan for a wine recommendation. Amazing food, service and ambiance. Sitting at the bar near the fire was a fantastic experience.

Ask a Question |
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue? |
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
