T-Rex Cafe Orlando Reviews from The Last Year
Don’t waste your time for this mediocre food and bottom of barrel service
Normally I do not write a review but I feel like this place deserve one from me and for anyone else that is going to attend to this place. First of all, the wait was ridiculous. I waited for over 45 minute to get a text to come to the front desk and they tell me to wait for another 10-15 min. So what’s the point of notifying me to go in line when I have to wait again. Secondly, after we order our food it took over 40+ minutes to get our food while 4+ other tables that came behind us got their food before. Third, the waiter hardly even came by our table to check up on us as I sit and wait for my water cup to be refilled but no one came to even check up on us. After giving this place so many opportunities to fix their wrongs, I’ve decided to talk to the manager. When I saw the manager she clearly told me to wait while she set up the table next to mine knowing that the place was already closed. 🤦 ♂️ After telling her about my concerns and service we received, all she said was “I am sorry for the inconvenience and I can offer 20% off”. I don’t mind paying for good service when I get one but saying that 20% off is like a slap to my face because everything else was wrong. I get why the waiter didn’t come to our table because regardless they get the gratuity for doing absolutely nothing. This was supposedly to be a fun family day for my daughter’s 4th birthday but this place just ruined the experience! I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. The food wasn’t even good and service was just beyond horrible.
Great food, Great fun
Fun place especially for kids. Very busy but we were offered a place at the bar which was fine. Our waitress was also a bar tender; she was awesome. I asked if we could share a plate and she said yes. We ordered something called the dinosaur buffet and she said that was a great meal to share. It was great plus I still needed a to go box! Fries, Cole slaw. 1/2 chicken and beef roast. Atmosphere was truly a frozen dinosaur cave with several of the animated dinosaurs performing with roaring and lights flashing about every 45-50 minutes.
Dino-trocious
A disappointing return to a favourite from previous trips. On a quieter than usual evening T-Rex has orioles the first lesson I was ever taught in hospitality…when you are quiet, mistakes will happen. Our server up sold us to have starters, good job, well done! The kitchen sent out our mains first then our starters 5 minutes later. We sent the starters back. We then had to wait a further five minutes for any condiments. Our server was diligent and apologised for the mix up. Unfortunately the food was no where near as good as it had been on our previous visit. The burger bun was ice cold…clearly thaw and serve. The burger patties were acceptable but border line dry. We didn’t get the option to order dessert as we were presented with the bill whilst still eating. We then waited a further 15 minutes for someone to take payment from us. In the end I had to go to the front desk to make payment. Sadly this restaurant is all style over substance on this visit…and after this visit I would not return in a hurry.
Chaotic place and sickening food
Food: the food at T-Rex is not bad, but it is a bit sickening, as in addition to the portions being disproportionately gigantic in size, almost all of the options on the menu were greasy and aggressive to the palate. So I was barely able to finish my plate and some of the people who were with me didn't finish their plates. I left there feeling twice as heavy (and I'm already a little chubby). Service: The servers in the restaurant were kind, but they were clearly overworked, as they tried to take our orders as quickly as possible and practically ran back and forth. A miracle that no accidents occurred, even though they brought us the wrong order. Finally, it seemed like the waiters were told to get us out of there as quickly as possible, so much so that they brought the bill without being asked. Ambiance: The restaurant's ambience can be summed up in one word - chaotic. Waiters running here and there are not enough, every 10 minutes the animatronics start to "scream" to simulate a "Jurassic Park" environment. Speaking of animatronics, it's noticeable that they are quite old, as is the theme of the restaurant as a whole, which seems stuck with an 80s vibe. Still, young children might love all this chaos. Price: very expensive considering the quality of the food. Overall: Perhaps my worst dining experience on my last trip to Orlando. It might be cool to go with young kids, but I personally won't be going back.
such a cool place, I love the way that it's structured
such a cool place, I love the way that it's structured around different types of ecosystems. The food is simple American, nothing to crazy. the experience is more rewarding.
Two adults walk into a prehistoric themed restaurant.
Almost sounds like the start of a joke, which this place most definitely is not. You need to walk around before, during, or after your meal to see that no detail has been missed. The place comes alive about every 20 minutes with sights and sounds of long ago. The creatures are realistically animated to add to the attraction and imagination. The line getting in was short, and the bar had spaces, but we chose a table for 2 instead (Landrys card perk). Aaron took great care of us, making suggestions and conversation. We started with meatballs with ummy cheese bread. Dined on crusted chicken and pork chops. Everything was hot, delicious, and plentiful. Even have lunch for tomorrow. No room for dessert, maybe next time we will get the volcano. Full bar and lots of claps for birthday celebrations. Enjoy!
Lots to see

The ambiance was Amazing! Decorated so cool and enjoyed
The ambiance was Amazing! Decorated so cool and enjoyed every second of looking around. The food was just ok unfortunately. Expensive prices being in Disney springs and was hoping for a delicious meal. The kids loved their souvenir icee cups! Wish the kids pasta meal was actual spaghetti noodles since I feel most kids like that over the thick noodles. My chicken dish wasn't cooked the best. Soup was probably the best thing we had and was delicious. The service was good. Overall, great experience for just going somewhere different and cool but food not the best for us.
T-Rex Cafe Large Family
Visited as part of a large family. Plenty to see whilst waiting for the food. Although a cool concept, might be a bit scary for the younger ones. Food was decent though.
Lunch on March 7 - great atmosphere as mentioned by others.
Service was good. But,at best, the food was mediocre. Chicken was chewy. Burger presented nicely but tasted more like re-heated, low-grade meat from a fast-food restaurant. The experience isn't worth the time and upside prices to walk away so disappointed.
Don’t waste your time and money
If you’re looking for a fun family-friendly dinner in Disney, this is not it. Legitimately anything that could have gone wrong here, did. I spoke to the manager halfway through and he did nothing but assure me he’d make it right, only to disappear and not be seen again. This was so overpriced and not worth it. A colossal waste of money and a stressful dinner.
Great for families
Went with daughter’s family. Our granddaughter was very intrigued with the Dino’s. She liked the sounds and movements. Lunch was good I recommend the nachos good for whole table. Had burgers and sandwiches All tasty. Prices are steep But it’s Disney.
Super Fun for Families
We went to the restaurant with 6 adults and 3 young kids under 6yrs. This was a super fun experience for the kids, they enjoyed the Dino theming. The food was much better than expected especially the sampler appetizer and the Cobb salad. The servers and hostesses were very helpful and kind. I suggest having a reservation, even then you may have a short wait. Also, it can be kind of loud but not too bad.
MAKE SURE YOU GO & ASK FOR NANCY!!! She made my adult
MAKE SURE YOU GO & ASK FOR NANCY!!! She made my adult birthday experience a fun one/ phenomenal one! We ordered some simple meals, mammoth burger/ Cobb salad/ chicken pizza. Everything was good & nothing was overly priced. We got the lava flow drinks with double shots which were Miami vices essentially! They did mess up on my wife's salad as she asked for dressing on the side and they had it on but NANCY made sure to have it corrected immediately and brought her more chicken as an extra for the inconvenience! Just ask for Nancy! She made everything a great phenomenal experience where I truly felt she CARED about her service! Tell her ari from YELP SENT YA! Also of course the scenery and ambiance of the place and lights and colors is amazing!! T. rex noises were funny and just enjoy for what it is!
Great for families
Excellent as usual, we visit each time we come to orlando! The kids love the theming as do the adults, the cocktails are very good, kids meals and drinks also great. We got the kids the dino head slushy drinks and you get to keep the cup. They were great value at $12, later when leaving the cups were in the gift shop without slush in for $10 so it was literally only $2 for the slush inside. Food was delicious ! We ordered the volcano dessert to share, happy kids :) we had reservations for 9pm because that was the only time i could get up on the app, however while walking round disney springs kids were getting tired we decided to ask at the front if we could move our time to earlier, they accepted and we were seated by 7pm which was great for our children. Great service thank you
Jonathan made our experience incredible.
He's a real one with fast service and a friendly demeanor. This restaurant would not be the same without him.
I came here for only drinks.
Sat at the bar and ordered some refreshing adult beverages. Both the Miller lite and Daquiery were refreshing! This place has some cool animatronics! Assorted dinosaurs that move every 20 minutes. T-Rex would growl and Condors would move their wings. This place would have thunderstorms and lightning shaking the room. Lol Why I gave this place 5 stars, the reason is the children. Watching their facial expressions and reactions to these dinosaurs made it worth my while. This kids were astonished and excited to see dinosaurs! A priceless moment for kids and parents to bond with fear and excitement. Definitely would recommend to take your kids to this place while you eat.
Omg where to start from.
This place is Fire. Look at the beautiful ambiance, a huge portion of delicious food and top-notch service. This is our first time in this location, and we loved it, especially our 5 year old Dino fan.
The worst service and management
The worst service ever! The Waiter and the Manager were so rude to us. I expected more from a restaurant located inside Disney Springs. The food was cold, we waited for a long time for to them bring us our food, and then charged us unfairly almost $100.00 for staying 30 min more at the table. I don’t recommend this restaurant.
Cool themeing but lacking elsewhere, beware dangerous dry ice on plate from chocolate extinction.
Ate here yesterday purely to have the chocolate extinction, my partner has a Landrys card and it was her birthday month so planned to use the reward. As we had already eaten lunch we thought we'd pop in for dessert. Didn't have a reservation so used the Landrys caff, waited around 20 minutes which was a lot more than the few minutes advised on arrival. We were then sat in the ice cave which was very cool, our server came over after a couple of minutes and said they'd sat 3 tables at once and he would be over as soon as possible. This took nearly 15 minutes and we very nearly walked out, the restaurant wasn't full but maybe not enough wait staff? Ordered a couple of cokes and the dessert cue another 10-15 minute wait for the come and the dessert came out shortly after. The effect with the dry ice is very cool but be careful some was on the plate itself and not in the cup in the center which was very hard to see and I ended up with some in my mouth which I promptly spat out after it burned my gum and the roof of my mouth. It looks like regular ice and you wouldn't know it given its on a plate of ice cream and brownie. Putting dry ice in your mouth and even worse swallowing it is incredibly dangerous I'm surprised t rex would take such little care given swallowing it could cause tissue death, necrosis and death. Other than that it tasted OK. Be very very careful if you order the chocolate extinction! Server was good other than the slow service.
Noisy!
Food was good but overpriced. Service was great. Noise level precludes most any conversation. Don’t go here if you are hoping to chat with dining companions.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Can come from a lot of places, people who don't want to get charged their cancellation fee or people who just have them and cant go.

almost all restaurants aren't affiliated with AT and I'm guessing it's mostly people wanting to not pay cancellation fees.
