Vedge Philadelphia Reviews from The Last Year
Amazing veg and vegan options
This place definitely lives up to the hype. If you're looking for a creative and thoughtful gourmet veg and vegan experience you have to go to Vedge. The price is high but the portions are sizable for small plates. My partner each made it through two plates and two cocktails before getting stuffed.

Vedge has some of the most flavorful and unique vegan and vegetarian dishes I've had. I recently went with a group of my friends, and we had a family style and tried every dish on the menu. My personal favorites were the Smoked Portobello Carpaccio (very fresh and light), Spicy Dan Dan Noodles (definitely does have a kick so be prepared), and the Brassicas Hot Pot with Charred Caullini & Broccoli (the pho broth was so good). The service was professional and our server had great conversation. The old mansion is charming and a great date night place. The prices are on the higher end, so be prepared. Would definitely love to come back again.
Worth a visit
We were a party of four; the 20-something vegan/vegetarians were entranced by much of the food, and the old-folks omnivores (who completely enjoy vegetarian dining), less so. The combinations and ingredients are inventive, but too many dishes just didn't excite the taste buds quite enough. The restaurant suggests 2-3 dishes per person; we are hearty eaters and ordered 9 dishes total, and it was a little too much--though fun to have many options to try and share. Definitely ask your server to talk to you about the menu if it is your first visit. Despite ordering more main dishes than we needed, we did sample the ice "creams" and they were very good (be brave: try the roasted carrot flavor!). Service is very attentive, which we appreciated except when it bordered on fussy (swooping in and showily folding a napkin when a diner left the table temporarily). On the other hand, oddly, they did not provide serving utensils with dishes that obviously would be shared; we had to use our place setting knives and forks in the communal plates. Definitely worth a visit; I know some in our party will hope to return.
Manager with a poor attitude and disposition
My celebration/night at Vedge ended with a negative experience. The evening started with a positive experience, the host and waitress were awesome. The manager/gentleman in the black suit turned the evening into an unpleasant experience. I am unsure of his position or tile. What I witnessed was a rude disrespectful moment. The waitress brought the bill sat it on the table secs later the gentleman/ manager snatched the bill folder/ jacket off the table. No eye contact, no communication. My fiancee and I felt rushed to finish our dessert, pay the bill and free the space for the next seating. Details-reservation on 1-4-24 Birthday celebration Rude-

I will give the host and waitress a (4) they were very pleasant. I had an issue with the gentleman I assumed to be the manager (1) rating. My fiancee and I felt rushed towards the end of our meal. We received the bill from the waitress within secs he/the manager passed by the table lifted the bill jacket never asked if we were ready, no smile no conversation. He turned a nice evening/birthday celebration into a negative rude experience. Our visit/experience happened on 1-4-24. Disappointed!

Omg. It was in my bucket list and so glad I had the chance to visit! It was simply amazing. I am not a vegan but I truly enjoyed everything we had. I think the noodle dish was my favorite. The sticky toffee pudding was delightful. Normally not a fan of beets but I even liked that! It deserves its accolades and proves vegan doesn't have to be boring!
What a fabulous meal we had recently! We literally ordered
What a fabulous meal we had recently! We literally ordered everything on the menu and not a single dish disappointed. From the rutabaga fondue to the dan dan noodles, it was all delectable. If every vegetarian meal tasted this good, we would give up meat altogether. We also had a wonderful waiter and the entire staff were delightful. Our thanks and anticipation for another dinner soon!
Love this more than Other vegan places in city! Cocktails
Love this more than Other vegan places in city! Cocktails and ambiance were amazing. Every dish was really innovative and interesting we loved it
date vibe, alright food, good service.
the dandan noodle was really good and we also liked the eggplant dish as well. The rest were underwhelming. I am giving this 3/5 because I don't think the price you pay is worth the flavour you get. I won't return but glad we checked it out tho!
On my last visit to Vedge some time ago, I found it okay.
Sadly, they didn't have my favorite old Brussels sprouts dish, but rather had a different charred Brussels sprouts dish that was good. Fancy radished were pretty good too. The cocktails were okay, not great.
Our 2nd meal at Vedge didn't live up to expectations.
Perhaps it is what we ordered, but I felt like everything we ordered was trying to be something else. For example, we got the rutabaga fondue with a pretzel roll. I felt like it was trying to mimic a pretzel and cheese dip. We had the beets on an Arepa, which seems like it was trying to mimic salmon on a bagel. And the carrot roulette over pumpernickel felt like it was trying to be a whitefish salad over pumpernickel. I feel like these beautiful plates should not be trying to mimic something else, but rather stand out on their own. We also had the mushrooms over farro and peas. Everything we ate was good, but nothing was outstanding. We had two desserts, the sticky bread pudding, and the chocolate peanut butter cup. Both were super sweet and again good but not amazing. When I go out for a really good meal, I look for the moments where I'm pausing to taste every single aspect of my food, and that never happened. I also felt like I could've benefited from some warmer service. I had to come in the back because I use a wheelchair, and instead of welcoming us the first thing out of the guy's mouth was what our last name was so he could check our reservation. It definitely wasn't a bad experience, but I was really looking forward to this meal, and it was a little bit of a letdown.

I finally had the chance to dine at Vedge, and it was truly an amazing experience. The food and service were exceptional, and I couldn't be more pleased. The standout dishes for me were the flavorful smoky tofu, the delectable maitake mushrooms, and the delightful peach/mud pie cake. Every dollar spent was well worth it.
Vegan to Love
Anyone can love this vegan restaurant, including meat-eaters. The food is delicious and beautifully served. It's a complete package -- food, service and ambience are fabulous. It's easy to order too much. Be assured the portions are share-able. Seven dishes for three people was plenty, plus two desserts. If sounds weird but the rutabaga fondue will make you want a straw when the delicious pretzel loaf is gone.
Amazing, so good, delicious, fun!! Expensive, but worth it.
A modern but quaint gourmet vegetarian restaurant in a pretty former row house. Not just one of the best places in Philly, but one of the best in the U.S.
Inspired vegan meal
Went to dinner with a couple of vegan friends at Vedge and we were very impressed. It is small/medium plates and there were 5 of us, so we actually ordered everything on the menu! And each dish was inspired. Stand outs were the dan dan noodles, rutabaga fondue, and the portobello carpaccio. But everything was tasty and interesting. We are meat eaters, but I would return even without the vegan friends in tow. Highly recommend.
Vegan pleasure
Pleasure of eating Vegan. Original dishes. Careful service. Sophisticated atmosphere. From appetizer to dessert it was a nice surprise. Maybe a little spicy.

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!
Worked perfectly
Was a little nervous at first but was pleased to see that the booking went through flawlessly.
Highly recommended.
Success on Short Notice
Was able to snag an indoor table at Don Angie through an absolutely seamless worry-free process.

Quick table in Miami
I didn’t have my hopes high as it was a party of 4. In 24 hours I had a carbone reservation available! I was very happy as my family really wanted to come here

perfect
Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

I will give you 50% of ALL of my PROFITS if you teach me how to make profits?
LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.
Appointment
Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🧨🧨🧨 now on to 30 mill!
Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
