This is for the new VIVO.
Not ready for business. You don't shut-down one management on May 23rd and open May 24th with a new management. I am sure that there were many fixtures and accoutrements that belonged to VIVALDI'S (wall sconces, pictures on the wall, all those great liquors that were in the showcases in the bar area) that VIVALDI'S had the right to take with them. Place looks half-assed. There was a wonderful, huge framed photo of Sinatra and the " RAT PACK" that hung against the bar wall. All that is there is the black velcro that held the photo in place. Come on...looks crummy. Yes, many of the beloved staff of VIVALDI'S are still there. We, unfortunately got one of the new hires. Many of the items that were listed on the menu were not available "yet." This waiter's description of what they DID have were words like "COOL" and "AWESOME" and such. What he failed to use was the last name of their new executive chef, which would've been appropriate in describing what WAS available. Good bye, VIVALDI'S...we miss you already...[sigh]
Be the first to ReplyBuyer beware as this has changed! We went to Vivaldi only
Buyer beware as this has changed! We went to Vivaldi only to find that they are a new owner and new name (Vivo) and new menu. They have not changed their web site so there was no way to know this ahead of time. That in itself was disconcerting. The menu is now heavy on the seafood, which is ok, but the server started by telling us all the things they were nit yet making because they were new. Seriously? Then it shouldn't be on your menu yet.Several of us love Burrata and were excited to see it on the menu. However, what we were served was not Burrata, it was Mozzarella. It was ok nd we ate it, but we did mention it to the server. She came back and told us that the chef said he has 25 catering halls and he knows what Burrata is and doesn't need us to tell him because we were wrong. (If he'd come out of the kitchen, we could have showed him the difference on Google). The rest of the meal was fine. Both the salmon and the prawns were flavorful, although overpriced for what one got on the plate. There was not a valet when we arrived, however, when we left, the valet had blocked our cars in so we had to wait for them to be moved. All in all, I won't be going back, even if they do get their act together.

Father's Day Disappointment - Vivaldi is now Vivo - Don't Bother...Apparently, Vivaldi has closed and reopened in a new incarnation as Vivo. While Vivaldi had excellent reviews, we cannot say the same for Vivo. We had a three hour brunch..... and it was not worth staying more than thirty minutes. We booked a brunch reservation at Vivo after reading the reviews on Open Table and looking at the menu there. We arrived to find that the regular online brunch menu was not available today and that there was only a price fixed, $45, three course Father's Day menu which was NOT shown online. Definitely not what we signed up for but we were already seated so we stayed. It took 15 minutes to get a menu and then another 15 for our waiter to arrive. He was nice enough and took our drink and food order. Things started out OK - first course was fine, salad portions were rather small but tasted good. Calamari was a nice sized portion, tender and tasted good. However, the busboy forgot our basket of bread and muffins until we saw other tables got one and asked for it. From there we went into a downward spiral, we sat a ridiculously long time before the main course arrived - and the restaurant was nowhere near full. When it finally did, two out of five entrees were completely wrong. The two incorrect entrees were re-ordered - and came out wrong a second time! Eggs Benedict is not a soggy english muffin topped with mediocre (regular not Canadian as ordered) bacon, poached eggs and gummy hollandaise sauce all arriving lukewarm. If I wanted that for brunch, I could have had it in a local deli for $3.50 not $45! After being told one of the Benedicts was going to be re-done yet again with Canadian bacon, I sat and watched my tablemates complete their meals with no replacement (or our waiter) in sight. I asked for the manager who said "someone" told the kitchen that it was too late and not to remake it. Well, that someone was definitely not me. I told them to forget it - I ate two cold poached eggs on a soggy muffin for brunch. The manager did agree to remove my charge from the bill, however, I would have much preferred a good brunch to a credit for the meal. My husband ordered a regular, unsweetened iced tea..... and received an iced MINT tea - he HATES mint by the way.... Call all of this Kitchen Clueless...The bathrooms were decrepit, dark and dirty - no excuse for that. Desserts came on a platter to the table for sharing..... but with no knife to cut them up and share them. No problem really as they were passable at best and not really worth eating anyway. We left a little less than THREE HOURS later unimpressed, unhappy and a couple of hundred dollars lighter. We won't be going back to VIVO and would recommend you try somewhere else for brunch that will not take your whole day and wallet.... I would do zero stars... but that is not permitted.

We've had many great dining experiences with family over the years at Vivaldi's and last night was no exception. We were celebrating my mother in law's 89th birthday. The food and service were excellent and the extra attention from Billy Pappas made the birthday girl feel like a queen. Thanks Billy. We look forward to visiting you at your next restaurant venue.

All of the food was really fresh and I fully enjoyed the appetizers. The steak was perfectly cooked on the bone. I can't remember the type of cheesecake we had...it wasn't NY cheesecake and that's my favorite kind! So please don't read too much into it when I say I wasn't a fan of the cheesecake...lol it just had a different consistency than what I'm used to or what I enjoy in a piece of cheesecake. Other than that, I'll probably order a different dessert next time. But only out of personal preference. 5 stars on food and atmosphere. Next time I hope to enjoy the outside seating! It was unavailable when we went. (May 29, so that's understandable..not quite summer weather yet! Even though the weather would have been perfect for an outside table. Next time!

Came here for brunch with my friend who raved about their brunch menu to me so we decided to try it. I've previously been to this restaurant when it was cafe on the green for a sweet 16 or bag mitzvah years ago and it was alright. So after we were seated in a corner we had two babies in car seat carriers that were tucked away in the corner because they were sleeping. Our waiter brings out a round of mimosas and for whatever reason he decides to serve us from behind, leaning over the babies to hand us the drinks and of course one mimosa glass knocks over and they all fell and shattered on the floor. To make matters even worse OF COURSE he spills it all down my hair, back and my fur vest. Literally the entire restaurant turned because of the glass shattering and everybody was running over to see if the babies were okay. Honestly I get it accidents happen I've been a server, bartender, bottle girl, you name it. But who in their right mind would reach over two babies in car seats trying to balance 4 mimosa glasses??? Bc I don't know. The food was alright I was honestly just pissed after that. The manager came over and told us she was giving us a different waitress Bc idk I guess she thought I was gonna rip the first ones head off and she tells me to bring a dry cleaning receipt for my vest. You would think maybe she would have comped off my food considering I sat there sticky and couldn't even enjoy my meal after trying to blow dry myself in the bathroom but no. Hugggeeeee turn off when management can't properly handle a situation like that when it's clearly their workers fault.

Again, Vivaldi is top-notch! I again had the most delicious meal that I have had in a long time. I was hungry but could not decide as everything on the menus is delicious! What to do? Ask Billy for a suggestion of course. I'm so glad I listened. My meal: Calamari appetizers,so succulent! An Another wonderful night st Vivaldi exquisite seafood pasta dish with the freshest shrimps, octopus, clams, and mussels, you would think they were just delivered from the seaport! I have been to Vivaldi's numerous time since they opened. Why? Great food of course! Great drinks check; a top shelf bar and bartenders who can craft any libation you desire! The best of Vivaldi's though is the owner / management team. You are greeted warmly upon arrival. Great interest is taken on how you've enjoyed your meal. Billy, Emily, & Stephanie make you feel as if you are family. They know your name, your drinks and your desired tastes. As Billy says membership has it's privileges!

Went for Valentine's dinner with my family and my husband couldn't have picked a better restaurant. The staff was friendly and accommodating-and when I say accommodating, I mean accommodating- I have a 19 month old baby girl- enough said. The owner was pleasant and engaged with his guests. Good atmosphere and fine dinning.

Fresh made in house ingredients make all the difference. The pasta dishes are phenomenal. Service is great and there is a parking lot so easy to park. Looking forward to my next visit
