Service was good and fast. The atmosphere was modern and almost casual - felt very approachable for a Michelin-starred resturant. We were greeted immediately at the door by the hostess and directed to our seats after checking reservation. The server checked in on if we were celebrating any special occasion and gave us enough time to check the food and drink menu. He was descriptive with the dishes, giving recommendations and answering any and all questions. With the help of the server, was able to decide on a wonderful glass of white wine (Gelber Muskateller) and a couple dishes: pretzel, quark spatzle, wiener schnitzel, and scallops. Food came out relatively quickly. The pretzel was small but was warm and pleasant to eat - be aware to remove the salt (is very salty). By the time we were done with the pretzel, the mains were served. The schnitzel had great flavor and was surprisingly light - the meat was tender, flavorful, and thin, the coating was light - almost fluffy. For something that is deep-fried, it didn't feel heavy or too oily. The lingonberry sauce on the side was fine but we personally liked the dish without. The potatoes were a nice carb-y source to the dish while the cucumbers helped cleanse the palette. The quark spatzle was fine - was not my cup of tea but fortunately my partner enjoyed it. Creamy, carb-y, and had a hint of acidity to it. The scallops were the star of the snow - three large pieces, cooked to perfection, laying on a bed of potato puree. Paired with fava beans and a slightly bitter and tart cherry sauce. The Scallops were seared perfectly on the outside while remaining warm, soft, and tender in the inside. The sauces and foam paired well with the scallops, we completely devoured the dish - leaving no trace on the plate (sauce included)! We finished off the meal with ordering a dessert. However, we were pleasantly surprised with two: salzburger nockerl and almond financier. The former was fluffy, light and easy to eat, reminding me of a marshmallow meringue lying on a bed of tart berry compote. The latter was a semi-dense almond cake with a orange sorbet and a sugar crisp on top. Thank you to the kitchen and team for the extra dessert - it was on the house as we were celebrating an anniversary. It was very much appreciated!
