I wouldn't describe the food as mediterranean but it is so so good. The service is quick; easy to get tables and the ambience is perfect for a neighborhood style restaurant. The market plates are to die for
Be the first to ReplyThis is a cute little restaurant.
It was lively when i entered. There was about one table empty however, the bar had about 5 seats available. I sat at the bar.The bartender was really nice. Greeted me immediately and gave me the menu to scan. They have daily specials and that day was Wednesday Wine Day. So each glass was $8. I had a glass of Procecco. I also ended up ordering the fish sandwich with sweet potato fries. The food did not take long to come out at all. I did not like the fish. It was dry and not hot. I could tell it wasnt fresh out of the fryer. I also wish it had more slaw inside. The sweet potato fries were sweet which i loved. I wish they would of been crisper. The meal wasnt the best but it wasnt the worst. I will be back. Next time I'll try something differently. Maybe a salad. I seen alot of people getting salads from here.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing food.
Neighborhood vibe. Changed bar seating policy from walk in only to by reservation, making the cheap and cheerful neighborhood vibe a moot point as it is now just as annoying to get a table as any other finer establishment in the neighborhood. Keep your locals in mind---they are the ones who get you through the tougher times. Would have thought this was a learning during the pandemic.
Be the first to ReplyMy team orders from here often.
Lately the quality of their food is terrible! The images speak for itself. Raw chicken and "apple pie"
Be the first to ReplyCame here for dinner on a Tuesday with 2 other friends.
The service is decent - the waiter / bartender (?) had made an extra drink and gave it to us so it wouldn't go to waste. Soups I believe come with free bread if you ask for it which is nice. However the reason behind my rating is because the food was so dry. I got the fish sandwich and even with the slaw it was dry and hard to eat - the fish itself. My friend got a salad and she could barely eat it too - I'm not sure there was dressing or it was really light.
Be the first to ReplyWestville Chelsea - new location, now on 88 Seventh Avenue.
It still packs a tight dining room but it definitely can seat plenty of people. This place was buzzing on a random Wednesday night. I met a friend for an early dinner, 6:30pm and there were only a few tables left. The menu is the big draw here - organic fare when listed, lots of vegetarian options, and vegan friendly meals. Don't worry carnivores, there's plenty of chicken, beef and pork as well. This is the second or third Westville restaurant I've been to and they are definitely consistent with quality eats. Plating is a different conversation but the food is consistently delicious and I feel less guilty eating out here... Getting my veggies on and in a tasty way.Beets and Goat cheese is one of my favorite market vegetables as are the Yucca fries (hey, I said less guilty... It was this or French fries). Which the fries are generally so good as well. Another favorite: turkey burger plate, fish and chips, and any chicken dish. My friend really likes both salmon entrees. I think she orders it quite often. This visit I had the passion fruit lemonade, very tart but I liked it more as the ice melted. Only comment, tables are always packed too closely here so very easy to eavesdrop unintentionally and thus, less privacy.
Be the first to ReplyI'm very sad.
I have been ordering from Westville. Chelsea for several years now. Never had any issues. Always loved it. Tonight I couldn't eat what I got. Total waste of money. I got the chicken soup. Which of the pass had always been great. Tonight it was Beyond salty, like really really salty. No way anybody could eat a soup with that much salt. I also got the Greek salad which was supposed to come with a vinaigrette type dressing but instead it was some kind of green goddess type dressing which just was not right. Couldn't eat the salad either I'm giving three stars because this restaurant has always been good in the past. Westville Chelsea, please go back to your previous great tasting standards!

I love the Westville chain! It's such a great healthy option and very flexible for any type of diet. This was one of the few places I could eat at when on Whole30.

Went here with a high school friend to catch up and she raved about the restaurant so we decided to give it a try. I ordered a market plate with Salmon and she got the fish tacos. While it was a Sunday evening, it was still pretty crowded. The staff were pretty attentive and while we stayed a while to catch up, we never felt rushed. The food itself was delicious and it felt healthy to consume in that it was satisfying, but not overly heavy. Overall ambience was a 5/5 and the food gets a 4/5!

4I can't believe that the Westville chain is still kicking in NYC. The food is average. Remember when their Mac and cheese took over NYC?This chain is nothing special, they are just the only location in the neighbourhood that service booze early. The food here is fine. It's more like a rest stop for local mums, students, and people on lunch break. The service here is great though. Everyone that works here is very sweet and on top of the ball. They also do a good happy hour.

Restaurant is much smaller than what it appears to be, but doesn't lack in flavor. If you're a vegetarian or vegan and looking for healthy options, look no further.we had the avocado toast with smoked salmon (which I typically don't care for) but wow, it was soooo good and I had the veggie plate (Brussels sprouts, sweet potatoes, asparagus, and string beans). Loved all of it! Run don't walk!
Be the first to ReplyDelish menu selection, great outdoor seating with heaters.
I really recommend the Fresca salad with salmon. The service was fast. They just need to find a better lemonade to serve, the lemonade wasn't that great. But I would go back and try some other menu items.

Great dinner at Westville last night! Reservations were definitely needed on a cold Friday night if you wanted to sit inside; they have a parklette which I imaging fills up in warmer weather. Their website says parties of 2 are limited to 1 hour; we were there a bit longer and it didn't feel like they were rushing us yet when we were done they cleared the table quickly. The mulled red wine cider was the perfect warm bevy to start with. For some reason we were worried about the portion sizes so my husband and I over-ordered and ended up with too much food but that's ok because everything was delicious :) We started with the Truffle Parm fries and Brussels Sprout poppers (would've been enough food had we only ordered one app). Then we split the crispy chicken with two sides (zucchini and tomatoes, and grilled tofu), and two hot dogs with one side (broccoli rabe with red peppers).Everything was amazing and our server Mitchell was attentive and super friendly!

Dined here with a group of friends and we had a great time! Food was all super yummy, and I felt super healthy after eating all the greens and veggies offered. We got some fries and mac and cheese to share in the beginning. Mac and cheese was YUMMY. I got salmon plate with dijon brussel sprouts (YUM) and yuca fries. I wish they didn't only give 4 yuca fries but whatever. My boyfriend ordered the sherperd's pie and really liked it. For drinks, I got the green tea toddy which was *chef's kiss* - had never tried a toddy before and was super glad that was my first experience! The boys got a bunch of beers. Waiters were funny and we had good service. Would love to come back and try more veggies!
Be the first to ReplyThe waitstaff are so nice here.
I really wanted to give this place review just for them. I'm here right now. The problem is the food! It's just gross. I don't know how else to describe it. Like many restaurants in NYC, they explore different cultures, inauthentically of course, but they just don't know how to make their food! Their chopped salad is especially bad. It's a chopped salad, lol. I'd rather eat chipotle than their quesadilla. Ugh.

This is a fun casual brunch spot if you're in the area and looking for a chill and relaxing vibe. Be aware that you do need a reservation on a weekend if you want to sit indoors, unless there's bar seating open, but overall seating is pretty limited. Service is great and our servers were friendly and attentive. The food was also awesome. I never recommend a side salad over fries but this is one exception. I don't know what the dressing is but it was amazing! Overall a really fun vibe, just a little pricey and hard to get in. I'd love to go back to try the dinner menu since there are a ton of options!

Pulled up to this place thinking I was walking into vegan wonderland, but oh was I mistaken. It was regular human food and it was pretty delicious; however, I am not here to talk about the food. One of my friends ordered the chocolate milk and holy shit. When I tasted this I thought it came straight out of that Hershey's chocolate syrup commercial with the red and white straw. Seriously greatest chocolate milk ever. You need to get it.

Heard a lot about how good the salads are, but went and ordered the steak sandwich and it was amazing. Steak was cooked perfect medium rare and the bread and onion and sauce combo was excellent. Get the truffle fries for a little extra, it's worth it.Food was delicious even through delivery, definitely need to try this place in person. Recommend.
Be the first to ReplyPretty good.
Didn't wow me but it wasn't bad either. The spicy margaritas were great and the hot dogs were basic. I do appreciate the portion sizes though.
Be the first to ReplyWas looking for a brunch spot for 3 of us after visiting
Was looking for a brunch spot for 3 of us after visiting the nearby Banksy exhibition.Looked at several options and guided by Yelp walked a few extra blocks to check out this place because of good reviews.Went inside, it was very quiet, probably a combination of Covid surge, fairly early and bitterly cold. The two confusingly dressed hipsters on the main desk were obviously shocked that we had no reservation, however looking around at the mostly empty restaurant they realized they might need to seat us.Entered into a bizarre negotiation where we asked for one of the 6+ empty tables and were told that they had reservations coming in. They tried to nudge us towards the outdoor area where because of the bitter cold was almost totally empty. They then begrudgingly offered the empty bar, we sat and took our jackets off, but it was right in front of the door and freezing blasts occurred when it was open.So we politely again asked to sit in one of the empty tables. Finally just gave up, and walked a block to somewhere else that was happy to have us and the food looked much better. As we excused ourself from the bar the barman said, yeah I don't blame you it's freezing right there, and the other barman said, "good riddance, well, kind of joking". Just so weird. I know a lot of restaurants have closed in the last year and honestly it's bewildering when some of the remaining ones behave like they are some VIP exclusive hangout when they are half empty.

This is the second Westville location I've been to and I keep going back because the options for vegetarians are pretty good. We got the market plate (all the picks tasted fairly good), veggie chili, and quinoa artichoke burger. Tried some of the veggie chili and it was delicious! I wish the portions for the market plate were a bit larger but I guess that's the point of the market plate--you get a little bit of 4 things.Hands down the best items are the DRINKS! They feel so easy to make, like you could make it at home, but something about about them was so perfect, especially the health tea and the green iced drink we got, which they made non-alcoholic for us. So minty and refreshing!
Be the first to ReplyTypical overly hyped but okay brunch spot in Chelsea.
My friend and I were seeing a show at the Joyce and this was around the corner so 5 stars for location! We sat outside since it was quite warm for a winter day. I decided to have the egg scramble with bacon, cheddar and mushrooms. The eggs themselves were fine, bacon was crisp but there was too much oil! My friend had the artichoke burger which she said was delicious.
