It's always very valid
We always happily return to this restaurant in the Village. Excellent food, fast service, cleanliness and courtesy. Prices are also acceptable, given the very high average in the city. Until next time!
Be the first to ReplyA Great Brunch Spot!
We had a group of 10 for brunch, traveling from Md., NJ and Brooklyn. Has great service, yummy Bloody Mary and the food was overall quite tasty. The French toast was colossal, Jane Benedict was nice burgers juicy. It got busy right when we left at 1130am. Hope to be back soon.

The food was very tasty, if a bit pricey. The lights, furniture, and music playlist gave a fun ambiance. The main downside was that our waiter was either really weird and distracted or he was drunk, because he spoke strangely and kept forgetting stuff. But it didn't ruin the dinner.

Totally disgusted by the customer service. We went, put our names down, to be told a table would be available within an hour. We went back after an hour and we’re told another 30 mins. After over 2 hours we went back to follow up, and we’re told that there was never going to a table for us today. This was obviously due to the fact we have a baby with us. Staff openly lied to us about a table and kept us waiting for over 2 hours before admitting that there was no table. Beautiful food but obviously totally discriminatory against anyone with a baby. Their attitude was totally rude and snobby. If you are young and good window dressing this place is perfect, but if you have a small family, don’t expect valued treatment!!! In addition to this, we were next on their table list over 8 hours ago, still NO table available apparently.

Friday morning breakfast. Restaurant was pretty empty when it opened at 9. We had eggs Benedict (sadly, it was kind of bland; needed more flavor), popover which was good but a little dry, and the French toast which was very good. The eggs Benedict and popover came with mixed greens, but they were plain and dry…not sure if there was a dressing missing…

On arrival restaurant seemed empty for 7.30pm but not an issue and it was a Monday. Waiter was very pleasant and menu seemed decent. My wife asked if we could have our starter and then a break inbetween. Unfortunately this didn’t happen as the main arrived as we were finishing our starter!! Very rushed but it was offered to be taken away but it would have been just held under lights. The waiter offered us a compliment drink. The food was very good but the atmosphere and the general managers (female) vibe was awkward, unlike the other staff!!
Be the first to ReplyWow, French Toast
Jane was packed for Brunch, but we had a reservation so we were seated right away. Our waitress was amazing, excellent recommendations. The food was delicious ( avocado toast, omelette, eggs Benedict and The French Toast, mimosas and more) The overall experience was great! We highly recommend this restaurant.

The French toast is a must-try and the classic egg Benedict we ordered comes with buttermilk biscuits below the poached eggs. It's so damn delicious and the service is brilliant. Perf place to have brunch in downtown Manhattan!
Be the first to ReplyThe best place for brunch in all of Manhattan!
I’ve spent a fair amount of time at Jane over the last six months. Without a doubt, Jane is the best brunch place in Manhattan. Everything is superb, to include the service, drinks, food, and general ambience. No other place I found in Manhattan meets all these criteria every single time!

Jane is the perfect place for brunch on a beautiful day. Outside tables and friendly staff. Delicious food too. Highly recommend getting a reservation well ahead of time!
Be the first to ReplyBest Brunch I've Experienced
Two days ago, my wife and I dined at the Jane Restaurant at 100 West Houston St. I must admit that it was the best brunch we’ve experienced in several decades. The staff was spectacular and helpful, the drinks were strong and well-crafted, and the food was perfect; I had the most flavorful omelette I’ve ever tasted. As we left the restaurant, we decided to become regulars. Wow!

Most definitely one of the best brunch places in new york city...it lies in a quite cornet of the city..small and inviting...very nice vibe of the place...
we started with a glass of fresh orange juice and meatballs...the meatballs with spicy garlic bread were fantastic with an amazing tomato sauce...
the vanilla bean french toast was the best that i have eaten...the bread was moist ...the chicken sausages were decent nothing spectacular ...
fantastic brunch in an awesome weather...
Great Atmosphere and a Nice Meal
We booked at very short notice by phone this was maybe 19:00 and we were accommodated just fine. Staff were friendly and there was a nice atmosphere. This is a good mid range restaurant not overly flamboyant just a nice place to eat and chat with friends. Food was nice and portions fine. two people, two courses, two G&Ts and two glasses of Cabernet total $130 +tip.
Would visit again if in the area
Yummy food and great service!
I have visited Jane four times now and the food and service are always consistent and wonderful. My favorite is the Gnocchi. The cocktails are lovely also. Thank you for never letting me down! Love this restaurant!

Food was fine. Service was poor. Tables were not clean. Staff seemed huddled in small groups. Impression was of a place that is poorly managed.

Came here for brunch on a Saturday at 12:15 and made the reservation through Open Table. They gave us the booth in the back corner which was quite spacious and good since we had an unexpected fifth friend join us. The waitress was quick to take our orders and consistently refilled our waters. I got the ham popover which had gruyere cheese along with a side salad. The popover was flakey and warm. It was a decent size for brunch but if you’re hungry, you might want to also get a side. We ordered a plate of fries to share for the table and that was a good move. The fries were crispy and well-seasoned. The bathrooms are located downstairs to the left. It was pretty crowded but you could also sit at the bar where it’s first-come, first-serve. They let us split the bill with five cards and there’s a tablet thing alongside the bill where you could fill out a survey on your experience. Overall it’s a decent brunch spot and it’s close to the Morgensterns so you could get a quick dessert afterwards.
