Awful service - food variable
We expected great food and service - my husband’s starter arrived 10 mins after mine - 2 minutes after his starter arrived his main course. Food was not very good. Staff were hardly there! Asked for 2 coffees - coffees came and she tried to find a space on the table amongst all the dishes - unbelievable that we had to ask for the table to be cleared. Very, very disappointed.
Be the first to ReplyPeking Duck surprise!
My husband and I have a travel tradition to sample a different Chinese restaurant in Singapore to try Peking duck, with each visit. During this visit we tried the Chinese restaurant at Raffles Hotel. The overall experience was excellent as the staff welcomed us and took great care of us! I won’t spoil the amazing entrance to the restaurant, but it will amaze you. The Peking duck was among the best we have sampled in Singapore! And as a added touch, they pour some amazing wines by the glass.

We really enjoyed culinary delights off this amazing restaurant is set in the authentic Chinese style with every detail taken care of, and we also want to acknowledge our beautiful hosts who were generous and enthusiastic. Their names are Jess Khoo and Gibson

I booked for a table for ten person weeks before our visit, but we were seated on a long table. It was my mistake for not being thoughtful enough to request for a round table. When it was difficult to talk to the person not sitting right next to us, we were further disappointed by not able to share the dishes from the ala carte menu because of the seating. However, Jess Khoo, the friendly, cheerful and experienced staff, who was capable to handle the situation and proposed to us their Chinese New Year Set Menu. She was approachable and proactive. Her service was excellent. The food and the overall experience were great. Last but not least, the entrance is definitely instagramable!!

We loved this restaurant. Had the Hokkaido scallops and deep fried cod with radishes as beginners, totally loved both. Then followed with the Iberico pork wrapped with crispy seaweed and fell in love. The one dish we didn't love as well was the duck with yams and orange sauce. All with a great Sancerre. The service was perfect.
Be the first to ReplyThe Best Chinese Food Ever
We were offered a table as the other restaurant (Tiffin Room) messed up our booking. The ambience and service was out of this world. The menu was explained to us very well and we ended up having the best Chinese food we have ever eaten. Would definitely go back.
Be the first to ReplyArtistic Chinese Cuisine
Had Dim Sum Lunch at this gorgeously decorated Chinese Restaurant. True to their introduction, this restaurant presented their dishes artistically and of course those dishes that i had, did awaken my appetite. Most dishes were well executed and balanced in terms of flavors and texture.

A nice semi fine dining concept. The restaurant is located within the Raffles Hotel but it was quite a pain to locate its actual location. The signage around wasn't helpful and there's no staff around that we could ask. The ambience of the entrance is definitely WOW with gorgeous hanging white decoration which looks like butterflies. The restaurant has a bright concept not a typical Chinese restaurant. The food are pretty fusion and again not a typical Chinese food one would expect. The taste is ok but the presentation is a surplus. In conclusion, would I return maybe not, but its worth the experience.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food!
Food was great and explained really well when I asked our waitress. Everything is so well seasoned and light. Everything was delicious and will be coming back when I can! Order the Peking duck!
Be the first to ReplyWhat a fantastic culinary experience!
I was initially a bit sceptical of this restaurant. The previous restaurant was empress and it failed to impress me. However, this is something else! We were Impressed right from the start: the entrance is beautiful, like a fantasy walk. The ambience (8.5/10) is very tastefully done, and every cutlery is in keeping with the oriental theme. Service (9/10) was attentive throughout. All the dishes tonight were excellent in taste (9/10), presentation (9/10), and innovation (8.5/10). Special mention must be made of the roast duck which came with four flavours of wraps and two sauces, and the condiments even had melon - how extraordinary! Also I must comment on the durian mousse in pastry dessert - make sure you order it. If there is any “complaint” to be made, it is that the portion of rice for a bowl is too tiny. I will return, perhaps to try their dimsum.

Came to celebrate friend’s birthday. Nice food and environment. Was served by Jess Khoo. Her service is excellent and exceed our expectation! Thank you Jess !
Be the first to ReplyNice entrance, the rest average
Captivated by the beautiful entrance. Food was good, but not fantastic, perhaps I had higher expectations. Very understaffed. Service wasn’t good. Service was slow, inattentive, not well trained for a fine Chinese dining restaurant. Plates weren’t regularly changed, empty dishes weren’t cleared etc etc… not mentioning a big mistake made by the restaurant which I shall not bring up here to cause staff to be reprimanded. Falls short of the Raffles standard, hope it will be better in future.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food but as usual, shortfall in service level.
We came for a decadent dim sum spread and boosted it with some BBQ meats. Everything was a delight to our palates short of the seasonal items that tried to feature mugwort. Sadly, the flavours didn't come through. Presentation was on point though. The unfortunate part was getting the attention of their service staff who seemed overwhelmed by their tasks at hand at any one time. No one was looking to see if the diners needed impromptu assistance. And when eye contact was made, the male manager on duty seemed to have a knack of looking over our heads. In the end, we had to resort to calling out for assistance each time. We like the food here but we certainly hope that Yi strives to improve its level of service. Ever since the restaurant's opening, it's been a noticeable flaw and we are obviously not alone in observing this. In any case, kudos to the kitchen. We will still look forward to our next dining experience here.
Be the first to ReplyFancy Restaurant, Instagrammable Entrance, Average food
The entrance of the restaurant greets you with a white leafy ceiling and walls and the interior of the restaurant was spacious with modern oriental design. The selection of food was good but on the pricier side. I ordered 4 items in total and perhaps I didn't make the right choice, they all tasted average to me and therefore I felt it was overpriced.
Be the first to ReplyFood was good but service could have been better
We were about 15 minutes earlier than our reservation time and was told there were no tables. To our dismay, after being brought it to our seats, we realised that the restaurant was almost half empty. Perhaps the staff/greeter could have been more polite in sharing the news. Thankfully the food was good in terms of taste and presentation, but the service was inconsistent as some of the staff described the dish to us, while others did not and we have to refer back to the menu or make a wise guess.
Be the first to ReplyYou could go somewhere else.
Service staff were excellent and food was good - and frankly we expected it to be better.
The HUGE disappointment was a fundamental failure in how it maintained a conducive dining environ and experience.
At close to $200 a head, we were disappointed to see (and hear) boisterous individuals dressed in shorts and a couple of other chaps dressed in round neck t-shirts on New Year's eve - when the booking confirmation specified a strict dress code.
A dining experience is not just about the food and in this instance it was very disappointing one.
Food Review
Surprised at the service provided by this staff Lim Mei Ling as she provides not only good service also good food recommendation please convey my compliment to this staff Lim Mei Ling. This restaurant has a range of good dim sum which we enjoyed a lot even though this was not my first visit.
Be the first to ReplyExquisite cuisine
Went to celebrate my birthday with my family. Exquisite cuisine and impeccable service. All dishes good except for the roast duck (meat was too dry and skin not crispy at all - don’t waste money & calories). Their dim sum was very very good especially the liu sha items.

Taking over the space of Royal China in the renovated Raffles Hotel, this new restaurant offers creative and good quality Chinese cuisine that one cannot get from the run-of-the-mill restaurants.

Nice place. Went there for the first time recently and had a lovely lunch. One is met by enchanting white paper decorations as one enters. Decor is muted and classy. Table settings delicate. Service is good & waitstaff friendly & knowledgeable about their menu. Will highly recommend the pig stomach soup (a surprise find in a fine dining restaurant) - not made traditionally with salted veg, so the soup was less spicy & super sweet from the pig stomach & flavoursome with a delicate taste. The crabmeat xiaolongpau, Peking duck with different wraps made from spinach/carrot/squid ink & satay icecream were all really good too. The menu is extensive, so pretty sure that different palettes will find something delightful to eat. If you’re up for traditional Asian cuisine with Teochew/Cantonese influences and a creative twist, then this is the place to be. Be prepared to spend about a hundred at least per person (without alcohol). Will return to try other dishes on the menu!
Be the first to ReplyWhat a great experience!
To be very honest, as an Asian and having so many options for Chinese Cuisine out there, yi by Jereme Leung is a one of a kind space offering up stellar cuisine & top notch service! Many food items I definitely recommend for tasting because everything looks so great; and I went during lunch so Dimsum was available (by the way those taste superb and fresh at the same time, I cannot help but order second helpings)! But, my one recommendation is definitely the Soursop Sorbet & the Lemongrass, Peach Gum dessert! The dry ice effect definitely caught me taking an Instagram moment, but this dessert is so smooth and I can literally slurp it off the entire bowl, if I didn't have to watch my image in the restaurant. All in all, 5 star service by the gentlemans' Alex, Jiawei, Oliver and I caught the last name as Liew?
Can't wait to get my body & soul back to this restaurant again! :)
unique Resturant
it is located on 3rd floor of raffles hotel and best to access is through raffles hotel car park than the main entrance. the soup rainbow cauliflowers was superb but the jasmine rice was very disappointing. the dumplings are superb and mushroom buns melt in your mouth. Avocado salad with caviar fruit is outstanding. the fried rice was not unto mark. the only negative is we had booking at 1.30. by the time they gave us table and took order it is already 1.50. 2 pm last order. very funny. the give you free car park coupon do take it as parking very expensive in raffles hotel

Is our 1st visit there through friends recommendation but it turn out food & service are poor.
5 of us went for a dinner on 28 Mar '21 and we did not enjoy the food and service rendered.
Expectation on the roast duck & double boiled soup did not meet our expectations. Food was cold and the fishmaw that was use on the Abalone soup taste odd.
