I have been to a few and Michelin restaurants, but this Michelin restaurant was nothing short of perfection! The overall experience feels very exclusive, yet warm, welcoming and engaging at the same time. You get this authenticity from the staff, that is quite unique from other restaurants I have been to. Everyone excelled at connecting with their guests in a way that feels authentic and effortless, like a well orchestrated group, who's purpose was to ensure that you enjoyed every second of the experience, as it is to be expected at a 3 Michelin restaurant. I cannot express the overwhelming sensation of each and every bite. Anything I write, will certainly fall short. Everything that we had was an explosion of flavor, delicate enough to not disrupt the next bite, but with the sensuality to make you desire for more. Each and every detail accentuated the comfort and the enjoyment of simply being there. From the lively music playing just loud enough to still hear your conversation, to the Scandinavian esthetics, and the detail in which our servers tried to inform us of the source of the food, the flavors that we would experience, and the upscale and delicate plating of each dish. And as impressive as it was... they still incorporated an element of surprise to cap off the experience for us. I will let you find out for yourselves.

oh how i miss andre!:(coming back here, where restaurant andre used to be, brought back great memories and thus anticipation of yet another gastronomic adventure.it's akin to being reacquainted with an ex girlfriend that you did not have closure with. not sure why she left in the first place and not sure what to expect now that she is back but in a different form?the familiarity of the layout is comforting, recognizing some of andre's previous staff is reassuring.the concept of restaurant zen however is uniquely different.you still have the kitchen on the ground floor but this is where your culinary journey actually starts and you linger here till you finish your ordering, start imbibing in drinks, get introduced to the produce you will consume and be warmly welcomed with savoury snackings.an excellent selection of artisanal gin is available and that distracted me from their comprehensive wine list.the standout snacking dish for me at the kitchen has to be the vendace roe from Kalix "Raraka"(Sweden), you can view the photo(s) when uploaded and salivate.then you proceed upstairs to the dining room.the music is much louder and funkier than what i am used to when fine dining.but the vintage of some songs brought a smile or two.every course is well paced and "prepared" right by your table.witnessing the finishing touches, plating, combined with proximate interaction with the chefs made for a more complete experience.for those teetotaller, the non alcoholic pairing might brighten your evening and even just a sampling or two was game changing and they actually look like you are consuming alcohol too, lol.standout dishes on this floor has to be the blue lobster, crispy Koshihikari rice, yuzu pepper, clarified butter emulsion & sansho leaf.the scallop with white truffle left a lasting impression too but alas i heard it may not make the menu again when they seasonally change it in the near future.as for the dry aged Miyazaki A5 wagyu beef, it had me at reading the menu.as if those dishes were not enough, you are ushered to the next level, the living room.here you get your coffee, tea or........plus dessert!those with sweet tooth can rejoice but i had much rather descend to the kitchen and/or dining room for seconds.finally, as you are ready to leave, you take the lift back down(because you just can't walk anymore after gaining at least 5kgs) to the kitchen and get a good pow wow send off from everyone awaiting.yes, i still miss andre.it's just not the same.it's me, not you.
