3 stars because the salted fish fried rice was not fluffy
3 stars because the salted fish fried rice was not fluffy enough even the flavor was there. The XO crap, fried Kaila with salted fish and pork and black bean spicy clams were tasty. Therefore, these 3 items deserve 5 stars. The service deserve 5 stars because they were helpful and gave good recommendations. The ambience was great because enough room to eat.
My family has been going to this restaurant for over 10
My family has been going to this restaurant for over 10 years. It's our favorite restaurant when visiting Las Vegas. Through out all my years of going here I haven't seen any changes or dips of quality. Our go to order was beef chow fun and house fried rice. We got the beef chow fun with no eggs for my brother's allergy and he never got an allergic reaction. It's very clean while still feeling like an authentic Chinese restaurant. My mom always orders the pho and recently noted some changes to their pho most likely due to personal reasons the restaurant owners were going through. Though not as good as before still good. We typically eat a lot of pho since living in the Bay Area so we have a specific taste we're looking for. The service is what you expect of a Chinese restaurant but I enjoy that they do their job well and leave customers to socialize with themselves. Location wise the stairs can be kinda scary but if you look for it you can find an elevator. It's in the heart of Las Vegas chinatown and dessert and boba is in walking distance. It's definitely a must try when visiting Vegas.
Located on the second floor.
For a newcomer like myself don't be confused about what restaurant you are entering. The location has 2 names but the same Vietnamese/Chinese restaurant. This place serves both pho and Hong Kong-style dishes. When you get seated you'll be given 2 menus. We ate here at dinner time and this seems more like a popular local place for Chinese food. We opted to use the Chinese menu since nobody had pho. Ordered a combination of fried rice, half-roast duck, and sweet sour pork. The food is good and good portions to share. We're a party of 3 and this was more than enough. The food season was perfect the chef didn't have a heavy hand on the seasoning it season perfect to my taste. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Yes, it will be my go-to Chinese restaurant in Vegas.
Dont let the gwai Lo reviews fool you, the food here is

The lobster noodles were literally one of the best things
The lobster noodles were literally one of the best things I've ever eaten in my life. The customer service was amazing. Top notch place. Will definitely be back.
Worst food and service.
Tons of bone in the Peking duck. People can choke on them. Chef wasn't Asian.
OMG! The Salt and Pepper Shrimp are to die for! I ordered
OMG! The Salt and Pepper Shrimp are to die for! I ordered mine without the shell and the seasoning on the shrimp tasted like it was from a soul food restaurant. The service was excellent. Ask for "Tuna" she was so nice. I knew when we walked in I was going to like it, because the Ambience was very bright and cozy, it smelled good and has a A grade, five star rating. I will be back for sure!
Where do I begin? My Chinese spot near Charleston & Rancho
Where do I begin? My Chinese spot near Charleston & Rancho was closed. Came here to Capital Seafood Restaurant on Spring Mt in China Town. Good signs like Asian people in there, and it being China Town! Well they Sat us down only to move us to the Pho Vietnamese side of the restaurant. That side stunk like a mix of old dead seafood and old lady nanny! Good fast service but the food was literally disgusting. Wife ordered kung pao chicken. She said it taste like she was eating a bowl of peanuts. I ordered a noodle plate as pictured on the menu but It came in a bowl. It had absolutely no taste even when I poured the vinegar sauce over. Completely Bland. Come to think of it, there was no smell of fresh ingredients in the air. No ginger, no garlic nothing. Ordered spring rolls that were fresh out of the cold fridge. Americanized Chinese food PE is wayyyy better than this place!
Being from LA, I know we are spoiled for good Chinese food.
Service was ok, however, the food is closer to Chinese food you would find in the mid west. The dishes were very bland and dry. It's more of a Vietnamese style of Chinese food. Even Panda Express in the boonies of Arizona is better
