An excellent experience, especially in the winter with Hanumanh's hearty soups and curries! While Hanumanh is a bit cramped with the number of seats in a small place, the ambiance is fantastic, with colorful murals on the wall, unique light fixture designs, and an aesthetically pleasing bar. Additionally, it is easy to have a conversation despite the small space. Hanumanh regularly changes its menu, so your options may look different. My friend and I had a 7:45 reservation and were seated five minutes early at the bar, even on a busy evening. Other than my friend's main coming out a few minutes after mine, Hanumanh's service was outstanding. Our server was attentive without being pushy, refilling our waters and inquiring about my friend's dish status without us asking, giving us detailed and excellent dish recommendations based on our menu questions and mood, and bringing/settling the check in a timely manner. Our server also let us know that Hanumanh included gratuity in the check before swiping my card, which I appreciated. Our dishes also came out in a timely manner, even with my friend's dish coming out after mine. This service level was very worthy of our gratuity!Everything we ordered was outstanding. We started off by ordering the Hanumanh cocktail, served in a fun cup shown below. I don't normally order sweet cocktails and this one is unique and worth it. I loved the use of banana-infused bourbon, multiple fruit flavors, and vanilla, capped off by a delicious baking space aftertaste. I only wish there had been more of it at the $18 price, as there were only about five sips worth of drink, with the rest being ice.My friend and I split the Sakoo Yadsai, which are tapioca dumplings with preserved radish & peanut caramel, cilantro, and sliced peppers, served with lettuce wrappers. Neither of us had tried anything like it before and we loved this well-balanced, gluten-free dish. The tapioca balls were soft and chewy without being gummy, the peanuts provided a nice crunch, the cilantro was an excellent fresh element, and the peppers brought a complementing heat. My friend got the Masaman Curry with tofu and I got the Puu. They were both delicious, full of flavor variety, spice, and heat. I asked for my Puu spicier than normal and was very pleased with the level-intense but not overwhelming the dish. I especially appreciated the amount of crab within the curry, as I've been places that charge high prices for small crab amounts. My puu also had a good noodle-to-curry ratio, allowing me to enjoy all of the richness the dish offered.Overall, Hanumanh reasonably prices its dishes for what we got food- and portion-wise. I highly recommend trying Hanumanh, especially for adventurous eaters!
