Laksa Restaurant Singapore Reviews from The Last Year
The laksa here was so good! This is a famous and popular
The laksa here was so good! This is a famous and popular spot, you can see many photos of celebrities on the wall who have visited the restaurant. I shared the large Laksa with a friend since we ate so much food already, but I could definitely eat it all solo if we didn't have the other meals. The Laksa was full of flavor and made for a delicious meal. I also ordered the Luohan Longhan, a refreshing drink that helped balance out the laksa flavors.
A very famous laksa shop, which is a bit out of the way for
A very famous laksa shop, which is a bit out of the way for me, but decided to make the trip out because YOLO. It's been Michelin recommended and attracted a lot of famous celebrities, including Gordon Ramsey. Their laksa is known for being consumed with only a spoon so that you can consume both the noodles and broth at the same time. This is overall delicious. They also provide their own signature hot sauce, which is a great addition of the laksa if you like spicy. I asked for a few more packets to take home with me. Small is SG$7.30 and large is SG$9.30. Also tried the Otah (SG$2.00), which is a Southeast Asian fish cake made of ground fish mixed with spices and wrapped in leaf parcels. Worth giving it a try. Come early in the morning to avoid the crowd as a handful of tourist groups will stop by here for lunch.
I had shredded chicken Laksha and it was good.
However, I had better ones elsewhere and it can't beat the one at Singapore Cricket Club.
Good laksa, but not worth going out of the way for.
Broth is flavorful and not too spicy. Noodles were a bit mushy. Shrimp and cockles were good. The photo wall has no many celebrities pictures, including Anthony Bourdain and Gordon Ramsey; makes me wonder if it used to be 5 star.
Our hotel recommended 328 Katong Laksa as a place to get
Our hotel recommended 328 Katong Laksa as a place to get laksa so when we stumbled upon it, we tried it out. I had my husband sit at a table outside while I ordered at the counter. I ordered the shredded chicken laksa because I didn't want any prawns or clams but I guess they use the same curry broth as it did taste fishy when I tried it. I added the additional hot sauce packets and it was fairly palatable at that point. The noodles are rice noodles and also not my favorite. It was worth a try. I also had the limeade to cool down with since it was still humid outside. My husband did not care for it so we had to go somewhere else for him. 328 Katong Laksa is popular with the locals, tourists, and celebrities, as evident by the photo with Gordon Ramsay on the wall. They have multiple locations in Singapore so stop by if you want to try some laksa.
