Las Tomasas Granada Reviews from The Last Year
Highly recommended
Excellent! Friendly service and delicious food on a terrace with a magnificent view on Alhambra. Highly recommended.
Dinner with a view
Good service, food with flavors that you sometimes don't expect like the cuttlefish and raisin croquette, I didn't like the fish very much and the cheeks weren't successful either. In general, delicious starters and with. Views of the Alhambra!
Magical
Magical restaurant, with unbeatable views of the Alhambra. The waiters were super attentive and pleasant, and the food was great. We enjoyed it very much and we will return. Totally recommended
Magical night in front of the Alhambra
Magical place in front of the Alhambra, with an intimate and serene atmosphere. The staging alone is overwhelming but the quality of the cuisine is the best. Everything to the point, abundant, tasty and cared for in detail. The waiters are excellent, very professional, pleasant without being overwhelming. I will repeat
Disappointing – lovely view but average food and service
We booked partly for the view (note that there are MANY other restaurants with lovely views of the Alhambra), and partly because we liked the sound of the six-course tasting menu. The reception wasn’t exactly welcoming. Despite booking weeks, advising that this was for a special occasion, we were allocated a middle-row terrace table (even though some of the front tables stayed empty). That said we still had a good view of the Alhambra at sunset. The atmosphere was subdued rather than romantic. We had opted in advance for the imaginative sounding Tasting Menu. We had already given the restaurant notice of hubby’s seafood allergy and, whilst he was offered an alternative starter to the prawns, this was a pretty uninspiring and under seasoned duck rillette. The presentation of the dishes was generally good, but the execution went progressively downhill, and the service became increasingly less attentive. The wine was acceptable for the money and we did receive several top ups during the meal. To be fair, the €60 per person cost including VAT and wine should have been a clue that this was not going to be true fine dining. The main problem was that the restaurant is located midway up a steep hill, entailing a long walk along the main road or a shorter, confused route with lots of steps and cobbles. Getting a taxi there was easy, but we couldn’t get one back (apparently a common problem as there aren’t enough taxis in Granada to meet the demand) which was the final dampener on our celebration. Sorry, but we do not recommend.
Dinner Carmen las Tomasas.
Dinner with unbeatable views of the Alhambra, we had previously tried other Carmenes, in which the view was spectacular and the food could be greatly improved. No expectations with the food and just for the place. So it was a surprise that the food was spectacular, coupled with excellent service. Jose, the waiter who served us, recommended us perfectly, and gave us spectacular service. Even when we finished dinner he was ready to take some photos of us on the spectacular terrace. I will definitely return every time I return to Granada. Food 10, service 10 and unbeatable location.
One of lime and one of sand
Spectacular views over the Alhambra and sloppy food. It is a privilege to have a restaurant with such an extraordinary panoramic view, but it is a shame that they do not take proper care of the restoration. At least that was my last experience. The symbiosis of good food and the impressive view enjoyed from its dining rooms and terraces could be perfect. They can achieve excellence by combining both concepts.
Dinner with a view.
I can only say that everything is great, the food, the environment and especially the staff. We arrived early and they treated us wonderfully, thank you.
Worth
Spectacular night views of the Alhambra and a dinner to match. Great service: fast and polite and everything we ordered was very good and well presented. Also, as it was a very good night, we were lucky enough to be able to have dinner outside and it was wonderful. It's not a cheap place, but it's worth visiting.
recommendable
Very good value for money, very good views and very attentive waiters. If we return to Granada we will repeat without a doubt
wonderful view
Across from the Alhambra, which gives the restaurant spectacular views. In a district of narrow winding streets, off pathway usually found by tourists. Staff friendly and helpful. We were a large group, so there was a variety of dishes, all of which were well presented and delicious. Good wines.
It couldn’t have been better!
What a perfect evening! The food was perfection, the service excellent, and the setting was ten thousand stars!
Lovely dinner with incredible food, great service and
Lovely dinner with incredible food, great service and spectacular views of the Alhambra. Truly a bucket list experience. Alex was our server and made great suggestions for dinner selections. We started with the house vermouth and had a wonderful local wine with dinner. We shared the navy bean and artichoke soup - my husband had sea bass and I chose turbot. Luscious meal made even more memorable with unforgettable views of the Alhambra! Alex was generous and provided a glass of cava to end our magical evening.
