Best way to describe this restaurant is very poorly run.
Managers are inattentive, servers are pompous and rude, food and food preperation are mediocre at best. There are many great restaurants in Palm Beach. This is not one of them.

I brought my family here for dinner This was our first time. The hostess Olivia was so warm and inviting when she greeted us. The service from Laurent was exceptional. I have been to all the restaurants in Palm beach. This is by far the best. Considering the atmosphere, food and staff. I will always recommend this restaurant. You need to ask for Laurent and be sited in his section. Super service
Be the first to ReplyPretentious staff.
Food not worth the aggravation of rudeness of hosts. Never be back.

I have eaten at Bilboquet many times and this evening changed my whole view. I had stopped by with my partner for a drink & the hostess greeted us in a usual great way ready to show us to the bar. As this happened, a gentleman stepped in front of us and informed us that the restaurant was "fully committed" for the evening, even as we viewed multiple open seats at the bar. He was arrogant, condescending and will be the reason I no longer eat at Bilboquet moving forward. Thanks for the distant memories.

Very busy. Very expensive. Decent menu Food good. Service excellent

Late night table for me and my colleague that wanted sweets and for me craving savory night cap. We were surprised the restaurant had space for us and when we sat we were pleasantly surprised that we could still order food. Cocktail was delicious, and they even offered a NA pairing for my colleagues dessert choice. I had the cioppino and a delicious wine selected by our waiter. Ambiance is lovely, lots of fun was had that night and every table around us was having a blast. Definitely a place to be and to be seen if you're in PB.
Be the first to ReplyWORST resteraunt on the island.
Having been to Le Bib in Sag Harbor and Atlanta, I was looking forward to my experience. Instead, I get over cooked chicken, high-school-first-job level customer service, and cheap interior decorating. Make no mistake -- a McDonald's on the Island would be better.
Be the first to ReplyService was very good.
We went for lunch and ordered one bouillabaisse for both of us as the lunch was $110 and we were not that hungry and the cost was ridiculous. I have lived in France as has my companion. We were charged in addition for the bread. Ridiculous. The meal did not measure up at all. Sad. Will never return.
Be the first to ReplyWhat a lovely surprise with this outdoor patio seating.
It was raining out but there are beautiful large umbrellas that kept us completely dry as we listened to the beautiful rain. Dover sole abs new york steak were cooked to perfection and lobster bisque was one of my favorites!
Be the first to ReplyThanksgiving dinner had some serious problems.
The "turkey" main course came out 3 minutes after ordering (so, so rushed) and was really just two bites of turkey and gristle. Totally unacceptable. The maitre d' tried to defend the indefensible but ultimately capitulated and returned with a plate that actually had meat on it. Service was inattentive and not very professional. Amateur hour.

Took my boyfriend here for Valentine's Day and we had a sensational experience. We're locals but just never made it over here. Glad we did and we'll be back again. We went when they had a prefixed menu which was delicious. The duck was amazing and highly recommended. Tender and juicy. We ordered their imperial caviar 100g can and thoroughly enjoyed it. From the manager down to the runners, all staff were friendly, helpful, engaging, and made the dining experience even more special. The decor of the restaurant is modern and inviting. Love this place!Complimentary valet parking is right out front.

Maitre d' was nice to us, i read reviews saying he was rude but we did not encounter that. We arrived on time and they let us have a drink at the bar first which was nice. Ambiance and scene i love! It got bad after we were seated...the service was terrible and the food was so underwhelming! Charcuterie board was the weakest most basic thing, it was clearly an assortment of what was leftover.... The cajun chicken was dry and so boring. It reminded me of something from Applebee's. At a high end french restaurant i have high expectations for chicken and this was a joke! We never had the same person come to our table twice. Multiple buss people/waiters would come and nobody ever asked how the food was. They messed up a few requests we made but we were never able to get anyone back to fix the issues and after waiting some time we just wanted to leave. We had dessert somewhere else bc this place was suck a buzz kill between the service and food. Price was what you expect at a higher end PB place so no surprises. Food was so bad though and im a major foodie and love french food so i was so sad to have to write this review. If this food was great i would give it another chance. I forgot we also had the crab avocado appetizer and the scallops...very mediocre. Nothing remotely memorable, scallops were a little chewy. This place must have a great PR team to remain so popular.

Tried to go here on my BIRTHDAY, on a Thursday night and the guy at the hostess stand was so rude. I said "oh I'm just gonna go to the bar" , he says "we are not taking anymore people in, the bar is full". The bar was NOT full, there was plenty room for me and my friend to go sit and have a drink. What did I not look like a PALM BEACHER, is it because my friend has braids? he didn't know what I do for a living, how much I make, what kind of credit cards I have etc.... I am on the ISLAND almost everyday dealing with many nice people who are my clients, who would never treat anyone like this. My guess is this man who was maybe the manager , probably doesn't even live on the island and definitely needs a big lesson in CUSTOMER SERVICE. I will NEVER spend my money here and neither should anyone else. They clearly do not know how to treat people who obviously were willing to spend money there.
Be the first to ReplyThis is a lovely place to spend a Sunday.
The Nicoise Salad is very good and while a little pricey,it is a wonderful ambiance. Enjoy the food and sit back and relax.
Be the first to ReplyTucked away in a cute little alley is this gem.
We went on a Saturday 15 minutes before our reservation and were seated immediately. We sat outside as it was really beautiful out. Our waiter remembered my boyfriend from his previous visit which was really great customer service. We had a few ideas of what we wanted to eat but still and for recommendations. He knew the menu well and gave great suggestions. The food was served promptly and it was great! We split the crab salad and skirt steak, for a side we ordered mashed potatoes. Everything was cooked to perfection. We also got an off menu wine that really s3sled the deal and made this a fantastic lunch. The best part about the staff was that at one point sitting outside became unbearable due to the heat. We were swiftly taken inside without any issue or feeling of being a burden. Perfect for a small brunch, but looking forward to coming back for dinner.
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful place, we sat at the patio.
People are elegant but like Amalfi style, linen some with jacket but not necessarily. A good shirt and of course no shorts. The wine was good, the food delicious. In general the whole experience and ambiance is worth the money. I will definitely come back.
Be the first to ReplyLovely setting with a classic French menu.
Excellent service. Went for my birthday and was not disappointed.
Be the first to ReplyVery good.
Great steak fabulous apps and powerful but creative drinks. Quite the scene.

We were treated horribly by tall French man who was rude and obnoxious. Skip this one unless you like being mistreated
Be the first to ReplyOne of the worst dining experiences I ever had.
While I did not have to deal with the infamous "Martin" the hostess and rest of the waitstaff were clearly judgemental of my party, likely because we were college aged. I did not think anything of it and assumed it was just the posh nature of such an establishment. However, I soon realized my suspicions were true. After being seated, our waiter (I do jot know his name), took our initial orders. No issue. After our appetizer of a Charcuterie board arrived (the contents were not listed on the menu), I had a question about one of the items. The waiter had not checked on us since taking our order. Instead, Two very kind and hardworking ladies in pink polo shirts would continuously come to our table and fill our water at every moment. Since they were the only staff coming around, I asked one of them the question. They did not know the answer and said that they would ask someone else. No issue. The issue was when our waiter scolded the young lady for talking to us. I could not believe it. After his scolding, he came over and belittlingly told me what one of the contents were as if I were too stupid to belong there. When the food finally arrived, it was mediocre. I would not have an issue with it if it weren't for the price. It was the worst food I ever had when considering the price to quality ratio. I ordered the filet and I can guarantee that they put zero seasoning on it. Not even salt or pepper. I felt like a caveman eating meat. It made Outback look good. The waiter came back to check in on our meals, only to find that one of the members in my party's beef tartar was not right. I do not eat beef tartar, but according to those in my party who do, Le Bilboquet's Beef Tartar is weird. I cannot personally confirm nor deny this sentiment. The waiter then came back for a third and final time to issue the check, to which they actutool off the beef tartar. This was the only positive experience here, despite it resulting from a negative one. I'm pretty sure we gave a 0% or 10% tip, with the rest being handed to the young lady who was scolded by the waiter. She was the only one who treated us with kindness and made us feel welcomed. All in all, this restaurant ranks as my worst dining experience of all time. This restaurant does not produce excellent meals with new and exciting flavors. This restis merely a status symbol. I'd be shocked to hear that anyone comes here because the food is good. I guarantee the appeal of this place is to just say you are eating here. It's like the Dorsia of Palm Beach (Dorsia would probably has good food though). Do not come here!

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE- Planned a surprise first Mother's Day and birthday dinner for my 8-month pregnant wife. We were a party of 7 and last minute needed to add a 8th person, who by the way was a child. Their "events manager" Jenna emailed me the day before that a party of 8 will be a $150/person and a limited Pre-fix menu. I explained the situation and why that would be ridiculous but never heard back from Jenna. Being that it's very hard to move a surprise dinner last minute let alone one for a pregnant woman, I figured they would be reasonable and we could work something out. When we arrived at the resturant and the surprise went perfectly, the manager Martin then pulled me aside and told me that Jenna and the "team" had a meeting earlier that day deciding we would need to pay the $150/person and have the pre-fix menu. Martin continued that there is nothing that can be done. He even got so loud at one point, the rest of my party started to chime in. With no where else to go since it was a Saturday night we were strong armed into paying nearly $2,000. The food was mediocre and very salty. The only saving grace was the waiter who was nice but the management team is absolutely disgusting. I came to write a review and saw only 3.5 stars. I see that almost all of the 1 stars are about management and specifically Martin. Ownership needs to make some serious changes.

Went there early Saturday evening for a drink and wanted to sit at the bar. Asked the man at the front if we could check if there were any bar seats. He rudely said 'we don't take walk-in's'. Not nice. I've never had to make a reservation at a bar stool. He could have kindly said let me check if there are any openings at the bar. Instead, I will never go back there again, and furthermore, I have lots of friends that live in Palm Beach, and they will hear about this too. Get rid of that so called host with an attitude, if you want a decent review for your overpriced meals .

The restaurant would be fine if not for the horrible Host up front. His name is Martin and he has no right to be the front man. He takes $100 from anyone who wants a table, and then doesn't honor the reservation. When he says I don't have our reservation in my computer, and you show him your confirmation email, he doesn't care at all. We just left and went elsewhere, never to return. What comes around goes around. One day he wont be as cool as he thinks he is and will hopefully and probably be broke due to his cocky personality. The waiters are wonderful and the food is just ok. Don't go if you want to be treated like shit by Martin. PS. He's in sag Harbor too
Be the first to ReplyThe Food was excellent but the service terrible.
We watched tables seated after us order and get served before us. The head waiter was actually rude to our guests. Never been treated so poorly before. Doubt we will go back.

A friend and I went in one afternoon to have a drink at the bar and take a look around. It's a lovely place. However, we chatted with the woman tending bar for a while, and then the subject of COVID came up. She was not wearing a mask. She let us know that she is proudly unvaccinated and has no intention of getting the vaccine. Since she was about 3 feet from us, this was unnerving. She was also whispering to some young women at the end of the bar who were planning an overseas trip, and it appeared that she was giving advice about how to skirt the vaccination travel requirement. I will never go back here and even though Florida's health laws are lax, I hope the manager of Le Bilboquet will take responsible steps to keep customers safe.
