I came in around 6:20pm on a Sunday and was sat down
I came in around 6:20pm on a Sunday and was sat down immediately. It was just dinner for me. One of the waiters offered water as soon as I got to the table. After looking over the menu, I had to look around to catch an employee's eyes to put in my order. I ordered a cranberry frizzante, pane otto, and the pappardelle. The drink--cranberry frizzante: this came out in about 5 minutes after they put in my order. It was a good, fruity cocktail. It's made with Prosecco. The appetizer--pane otto: housemade bread with butter and sea salt. The sea salt really brought out the butter's taste. The bread was soft, but they're really big slices. It would've been better if the bread was in smaller slices so that it's easier to eat. The dish comes out in 3 large pieces. The pasta--pappardelle: this took the longest to arrive. I had noticed that other tables were getting their pastas while they had put in their orders after me. After reaching out to an employee, they had to check with the kitchen. The kitchen had lost my ticket so I probably would have not gotten my pasta if I had not reached out. The pasta itself was a lot more firm than I would have liked. I typically like my noodles al dente with a slight chew to it. The noodles are flat and wide; the entire plate had about 7 pieces of noodles and overfilled with mushrooms. My rating: 2.5/5 Service was not great. No one checked up on me the entire 1.5 hour I was there. I wasn't offered a desserts menu. My pasta took forever to arrive. The ambiance is nice due to the rooftop location and the lights and plants. But it's extremely loud with people talking. Like others mentioned, it's hard to even think. Food is overpriced for mediocre food. This place is really just good for the vibes.

The ambience is great, but the food is overpriced and average. I went in for a late lunch with friends and was able to find seating at the bar easily. Starting off on a positive note, the bartender poured heavy glasses of wine, woohoo! We each ordered salads and added chicken onto them. I was a bit thrown off when I saw the chicken came out on skewers; it felt like an afterthought and made it a bit more difficult to eat. I got the Barbabietole, and it was fine but unmemorable. For $26, I was expecting more. The food was an incredible disappointment, but I think this would be a nice place just for a glass of wine and the ambience.
Had the most beautiful night at Serra by Bierria.
Katherine C was our waitress and was so warm, caring and attentive, she made the entire night so perfect. A beautiful restaurant with great food, can't wait to come back!
food was super tasty.
the loaf of bread was very large for two, would prob feed 4 people comfortably so keep this in mind for bigger groups. this restaurant has a very nice rooftop setting but it can get rather hot, so if it's a warm day maybe dine inside. however, the outside was gorgeous, the flowers add to the scenery and ambiance so give it a go if you're open to it. our waiter was very attentive and polite. we asked a few questions about items on the menu and he was patient and gave genuine answers. there's a market downstairs that you have to walk through but you can occupy yourself by looking around if you're early to your reservation. would definitely recommend dining here!
Pretty nice place, great appetizers and service.
Our server Jorge was super attentive and helpful with the suggestions. Will be back soon

I loved the whole vibe of this place! It looks like a sparkly rooftop garden and is so cute! The menu has so many great options and was very veggie friendly. We went during restaurant week, but most of the items were on the regular menu and everything was delicious. We got the Panalle and Mozzerella to start, and the Ravioli for the main course. Everything was fresh and flavorful. To drink I got the Fig Mule which was a really fun and unique drink that I really enjoyed. I would highly recommend making a reservation if you plan to check this place out but it is definitely work a visit. Plus it is in Eataly which makes for such a fun experience, I would recommend going early to walk around and check everything out!
Stopped here for dinner before a show down the street.
While the restaurant was beautiful it was also very noisy. We had reservations and were seated right away. The appetizer menu was better than the entree menu. Very pasta heavy and nothing the "wowed" me. We started off with the Burrata appetizer which was very good. For entrees we went with the Bolognese and the Pappardelle dish. Both were very good but not special. We also ordered a side of Brussel sprouts which we were very disappointed in - they were just steamed and lacked seasoning. Overall our dinner was just okay and we will probably not be back.

Cute interior and good service, but food wasn't worth the price. Flavor was pretty average, and apps were small. Definitely more a place you go to just for the aesthetic!
Great setting and atmosphere with nice food
Lovely setting at the top of Eataly. Great atmosphere, good food and drink options. Service was a little slow at times but friendly and polite. Free wi-fi and well worth visiting if you're in the area for lunch or dinner.
Food was horrible.
Steak wasn't even warm when it came out. Potatoes had no flavor. Pastas were a sad excuse for Italian. The only thing they couldn't mess up was the Meat and cheese as they don't make that here.
Looks very pretty.
Friendly service. The market below it is awesome. You can tell the food is premade, tastes like it's made in large quantities at the ready. Specialty cocktails are premade and quickly poured (mine came out in 30sec and not from the bar).
Patient clientele will be rewarded
Plenty of great Italian food here, at a premium. At such prices, however, the staff left us feeling rather abandoned and hungry for the longest time before we were seated. And given the rooftop location, where were the views of midtown Manhattan?
Good food- Poor Service
We went here for a meal before catching a show on broadway. It is a long walk from the location so we scheduled our reservation for 3 hours before the show began. The our server was pleasant until about halfway through the meal when he basically disappeared. At one point, when he did come by to check on us, he cut off one of our guests in the middle of the sentence with a dismissive wave and walked away. We ordered dessert and then did not see the server (or anyone else) for a solid 30 minutes. It was only when we walked up to the hostess stand to ask for a check did the server come by again. The food was good as were the holiday cocktails.
Lovely lunch
We were a little jet lagged and this helped us get over it! It was a hot day and it was a little hot inside but they fixed that for us. Drinks were pretty but we all didn’t love them unfortunately. The pumpkin ravioli was absolutely beautiful. My mum did order a prosciutto panini and it was just a ham sandwich so she was a little disappointed in that. Overall we had a lovely lunch and would have liked to have time to go back for dinner.
Pitter-Patter lovely brunch
It was a rainy Sunday afternoon and Serra was a perfect spot for some brunch. On the rooftop of Eataly nicely covered and we could hear the rain pitter-patter on the enclosure while we leisurely enjoyed our meal and people watched, simple entertainment! Delightful cocktails, some warm rustic bread and a nice fresh caprese salad got us started. I had the gnochi with multiple fresh tomato’s in the lovely sauce and fresh basil, all just right and not to heavy. Kyle had the mussels and thought they were alright. We did top off the meal with the beautifully rich and airy tiramisu, such a wonderful way to end a meal.
Cute but not worth it
Nice decoration but that's about it. Highly overpriced for mediocre food. The wine is a total rip off!
Mediocre Italian food
Mediocre Italian food, ok but not a place to return to. Ordered homemade ravioli..., didn't taste homemade, unfortunately no highlight.
Great food, great atmosphere.
Went for dinner with my teenage niece. Despite the directions in the reservation conformation, we did have a bit of trouble finding where to check in (it's kinda tucked back behind a bank of registers...look for the greenery). Once we found the right place though, we were shown right up and seated immediately. Unfortunately, there was a large party having a celebration and our waiter got caught up with them after giving us our menus and it was almost 30 minutes before I managed to flag someone down to take our order. The new waiter that took over was exceptional though and fast-tracked everything for us, even though I assured him it was fine and we weren’t in any hurry. Great food with some excellent vegetarian choices. Appreciated that there were a few non-alcoholic cocktail options (using Seedlip) on the menu as well.
Hot and cold
My wife and I were looking for a place to host a” graduation” event. We looked at a place in West 23rd street and when done my wife suggested the top floor of Eataly called Birreria. It was rather packed so we had to wait since we didn’t have reservations. After about 10 minutes we weee seated. We asked what the specials were. The waiter said the special tonight was a Ravioli special. I chose this ( turned out it was not so special) and my wife ordered a Pappardelke asparagi which she said she liked. She also asked for a glass of wine and I asked for bread. The bread was good but neither of us liked the wine. This is why the review is titled Hot and Cold 🥶
Good food but scruffy, noisy restaurant
Had read articles stating how wonderful this restaurant was, after walking through the eataly store and seeing all the fantastic ingredients and food counters, we were so excited. After being greeted by the young lady on the ground floor, we were sent up to the roof restaurant in a lift. When the lift door opened, I thought we had somehow pressed the wrong button in the lift and ended up on a back of house floor as the area outside the lift and on the stairs up to the roof level were very scruffy and smelt dirty. The food was nice and the overall look of the place was also nice but totally spoiled by the music being pumped out by the DJ in the corner, way, way too loud and that is the opinion of our 18 yr old daughter who was dining with us. Before we paid and left, I thought I would use the Men’s bathroom, oh my god, what a dump, absolutely disgraceful. There was some kind of Ducting stacked up the bathroom and everything in the room was broken and worn out. Considering the cost of eating here you would at least expect the bathroom to be presentable but it wasn’t, shockingly bad. Simple things like this leave a really bad impression and would certainly put us off from ever returning or recommending the place to anyone else, real shame.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.

I have a similar question, it seems like when money is refunded it doesnt go immediately what is the process of this since its essentially a debit card and not a credit card
