Sieu Sieu BBQ Noodle House (小小燒臘) San Diego Reviews from The Last Year
Okay so I've never really gotten roasted pork or cha siu in
Okay so I've never really gotten roasted pork or cha siu in San Diego. When I'm in LA I always get them both, but for some reason I just never really bothered with SD. I regret that. The roasted pork here is moist, juicy, flavorful, fresh. The crunch of the skin is still there even after microwaving too. It's not salty at all, and it's so good in the moment, and so good as left overs. The cha siu. Flavorful and also very moist, it's dry in some parts, but I also like that too. It's terrific as left overs as well. I've tried tons of roasted pork places in LA and I have to say this place ranks in the top 5. The meat is so good, even as left overs, and it's not salty at all. This place is definitely pick up and go, and I could tell their roasted pork is popular as they had full pig orders ready to be picked up. The meat is sold by pound and everyone is super friendly!
First time here.
.....the food tasted ok. My husband liked the roasted pork but my bbq pork and roasted duck pieces were hard, cold, and bland. I would not come back though, there are other better Chinese BBQ places.
The best Chinese Barbecue in town.
Unfortunately it is only carry out. They cut it and pack it to your preference. They even have piglet bbq on request.
Love this place when they still offered dine-in.
Was here almost every week. Their wonton egg noodle soup was the best in town! Their roasted pork, roasted duck and bbq pork was great as well. I hope bring back their dine in and noodle menus. Been a while I've visited the place..
Got half duck and 1lb of the roast pork came out to about
Got half duck and 1lb of the roast pork came out to about 32 dollars. The price wasn't bad and the service was cool There was nothing to write home about. When I got home I had to air fry the pork to make it crispy the duck was good and crispy had a good flavor and the dipping sauce added to that. I would comeback to try the duck and maybe the BBQ pork.
Good food.
But the seeds is not great. The ambiance is ok for a versmall place to eat
August Stop 33 We decided to stop by this small local shop
August Stop 33 We decided to stop by this small local shop for takeaway on a busy Sunday. The workers were super super sweet, and would definitely want to go back to support! Since it was a new spot, we wanted to try all the BBQ classics! We got the roast pork, BBQ pork, roast duck, and steamed chicken! Since we got it togo, it probably did not taste as great as when it was fresh, but overall it was nice to have some Cantonese BBQ in San Diego! Out of what we got, I would say the BBQ pork was my favorite, but also all the plates come with this great jasmine rice and pickled vegetables. Something about their pickled vegetables just hit so hard. They were not too sour or spicy, but more sweet which helped cut the fat of all the food. Also, the rice. I don't know what it is but this rice with some sauce from the BBQ pork is so nostalgic and so so yummy. Check out this place if you can!
Didn't know this place existed until I stumbled into Sieu
Didn't know this place existed until I stumbled into Sieu Sieu BBQ restaurant while visiting another store in the same plaza. No frills restaurant but authentic Cantonese BBQ! When they were chopping the roast pig in pieces, I can hear the crispy sound of the skin. 3 hours at dinner time, the roast pig skin is still crispy and the meat was perfectly seasoned (not too salty)!!! Also got a salted chicken. It was cooked just right, no blood still in the bone. Meat was juicy and tender. They also gave a big container of ginger onion condiment for dipping sauce. Yummy! Price is still a little cheaper than other nearby BBQ stores. Plenty of parking spaces. This is the place for roasted pork and BBQ items. We will be back for more!
